Instead of starting a thread, this would have been a better place to ask.

I have the XT1058. Mine was locked to AT&T, but I unlocked it with a code. There is some bloatware, but most of it can be disabled without root. The only thing I had to use root to uninstall was the AT&T address book. It should pick up LTE just fine, but I'll let you know for sure later tonight. I'm not in an LTE area right now.
LTE works great.

Ok... So you're thinking about buying an unlocked phone that was originally a Verizon phone but was used on T-Mobile that you want to use on AT&T? That is a bit convoluted, each vendor uses different bits of spectrum and a Verizon phone isn't a pure GSM phone such as AT&T or T-Mobile might have, I would be cautious, why not just get an unlocked AT&T device?
That being said, if it can be used on a GSM network like T-Mobile it should work on AT&T, the problem being that - as I said - each carrier uses different bits of the spectrum.
Save yourself the potential hassle and buy the proper AT&T model.
Yeah i am being cautious I'm passing on it thanks for the responses

Please forgive me if this has been asked before!
I am really wanting to buy the sprint moto x but I'm looking to leave sprint in a few months. I was wondering if I can take the moto x with me to tmobile (I know you can with the nexus 5 but I don't want that)?
Does the moto x for sprint uses a sim card for sprint now like the others?

In short, no you cant
It doesn't have the LTE bands for T-Mobile, and the GSM frequencies are disabled by firmware and the SIM lock (LTE is SIM based, but it only works on Sprint's band 25 network).
recently changed service providers and wanted to use my moto x but its sim locked to the carrier. i looked around on the forums and the method of buying a unlock code just seems to risky, I wouldn't mind flashing my phone if it would get me what i wanted. i don't like the phone i got with the service but i'm not on contract anymore. so would flashing the phone get me past the sim lock or would it still be there afterwards?
If you are not under contract then call that carrier for the unlock. Which carrier out of curiosity.
You can't flash past the Sim lock far as I am aware

If it's gsm, you can't flash to a different provider. Sim unlock is the only way to use it on other carriers. If it's Verizon, even though it's cdma, it should be gsm unlocked already if you moved to gsm. If it's Sprint you should be able to flash it to another cdma carrier.
