Stuck in CWM recovery boot loop - Nook HD, HD+ Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
My Nook HD+ was running Xperia custom ROM perfectly fine. Few days back I tried to sideload an app and it rebooted to CWM recovery. After that it reboots only to recovery.
As per the instructions in another thread, I flashed Leaplinar's stock recovery but I still got the Cyanoboot logo when rebooting and I also tried flashing his rooted stock 2.1.1 but it got stuck at 99% when rebooting to stock ROM.
Any suggestions ? Should I do a hard reset ?
Thanks

Did you do a factory reset after flashing that stock ROM? You need to.

Your phone shouldn't be stuck at bootloader when you're flashing a ROM. Go into recovery and wipe both caches and apply the update then reboot.

I just used RSD Lite v4.9 to flash GOT 2.2.1 on my phone. It works fine and rooted with GOT's OR. Then I wanted to try and apply the cm7 update and I have gone though all the steps listed in all the various guides but when I reboot the phone it will first go strait into recovery mode, stock, and another restart will get me stuck on the M. Does this mean my sbf is bad? I have tried different cm7 .zip files for the milestone with no luck.
Thanks in advance for any help/advice.
Have you made factory reset?

Reflash your last kernel (same of your backup).
In recovery flash kernel
Reboot in recovery and flash your backup

i can get into download mode,i need a stock kernel i think, anyone got one, please.
It's the best to flash a complete stock ROM. You can get some on sammobile.com.
Otherwise you may flash Semaphore and try getting into recovery mode.

Bootloop after the factory reset

Hi guys.
I was planning to install CM 7.2 on my Galaxy Ace for quite a long time and decided to do it today. I have rooted my phone and installed CWM on it, following steps described on the forum. I have made some backups with CWM and My Backup Root. Everything was fine, I have turned my phone off and back on without any problems. However, after doing the factory reset and clearing cache partition via CWM I cannot get past the bootloop animation, it keeps showing my network logo and Samsung logo. After about 5 minutes I have pulled the battery out and restored the CWM backup, but it didn't help. Any idea of what to do to bring my phone back to life?
Thanks,
Draggy
I have flashed my phone with the latest Samsung Galaxy Ace firmware using Odin, but it didn't help - instead of O2 logo there is only the Samsung animation now. I really don't know what to do.
Try a FULL Odin package, and make sure your phone model is the exact one of the rom you are flashing (5830/5830i etc)

After flashing the new software I had to take the battery out and then go to the recovery mode and do the factory reset again. I think I now need to root my phone again and install CWM, as I've got the stock recovery now. Thanks for help.

The problem is that I haven't done anything wrong. I followed the steps from the forum and I would have never thought that the bootloop may happen because of factory resetting the phone. Anyway, I'll try and get the CM working tonight. :silly:

[Q] CWM boot loop?

Hi i have the i9001, I rooted the phone earlier and all was fine, I then went to install cwm via odin using the 2 files and it flashed them and the phone rebooted back into android where it then said pass on odin even though it timed out? i tried booting into cwm and was succesful so thought nothing of it and backed up my rom and then flashed real rom.
and now my phone will only boot into cwm and thats it and after while will turn off and reboot into cwm and it will keep doing this.
I have no sd card installed. and i still have the problem when i restore the stock rom.
Any help guys as this isnt my phone?
This happened to me on my I9000 so might work. My solution was to wipe data/cache partition/dalvik again in cwm, re flash new ROM and reboot, if back into cwm then repeat. Took me 3 repeats then booted fine. Happened as I upgraded from stock GB 2.3.6 to CM10.

Yes that normal if you want to upgrade from GB zu JB. Because of first the change of the kernel respectivly the change to new CWM, and then for the new partitionlayout, you have to flash 2 or sometimes even 3 times the rom of your choice and then it should boot....!

Problem with recovery

This weird problem started when I was trying to install PureX Audio Mod. I have stock .434 rooted and locked bootloader. I have installed the CWM for locked bootloaders and it was working flwalessly. I also disabled flashing stock recovery on reboot and was working with the device. When an update was available for the mod, I went to recovery to flash it and it didn't boot up into recovery nor the LED changed. It suddenly started booting into device. I tried the following steps
1 Flashed recovery again.
2 Un rooted, re rooted and flashed recovery again.
3 Flashed TWRP recovery.
4 Even used ROM manager and tried to flash recovery. All the processes succeed in flashing but didn't work and the device boots straight into home.
5 I know that flashing stock rom all over again and rooting would work, but other than that could someone help me with this?
