Download a 4.1.2 RUU and extract it with 7-zip (or similar software) and you will see recovery (.img file). Flash in fastboot: fastboot flash recovery recovery.img.
There are different stock recoverys

Thx lot guys,i got it...probably it is the easiest way to get ota...just flash via fastboot stock recovery, ota, then flash back cwm recovery, works fine
Recovery for international version: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/22045273/htc1-stock-recovery.img
For T-Mobile version: http://db.tt/8S1cVVTs
Those aren't mine. I found them in this thread.
I had a rooted m7 with stock recovery and after the 4.4.2 ota i lost root. i want to root again but don't want to have a custom recovery flashed.
where can i find stock recovery for 4.4.2 to apply after installing supersu?
the new ota update doesn't contain stock recovery or does it?

It should.
Open the OTA.zip then the firmware.zip inside it, and extract "recovery.img"

Would you be willing to post your recovery.img? I replaced my recovery.img with CWM recovery and I need a stock recovery if I ever want to back out from encrypting my phone.
Thanks
Hi,
My orange EE UK phone is on version Android 4.2.2 ,It is rooted etc with clockworkmod installed I have a update to 4.3, this won't install and have been told that I should flash back stock recovery .
I downloaded the 4.3 OTA file and copied the file onto my laptop from my phone.
I have read somewhere the within the 4.3 Zip file there is the stock recovery file that I need , is this true ?? if so where in the zip file will I find the recovery file.
If when I get the stock recovery file will I be able to flash it with the software (One_M7_All-In-One_Kit_v1.0 ) if not what software would I need to download.
I hope I've made my self quite clear and hope somebody can help me.
Take care everybody and thanks for all your help over the years

You will need the stock recovery from your 4.2.2 version, not the 4.3. If you have that ruu you can extract from the firmware folder. If you don't have, try this link. Be sure to get the version for your current OS ie: 3.x.x.x
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2545227
The toolkit should work for you but select your recovery , or just use adb directly (fastboot flash recovery recovery.img)
my version is 2.24.61.1
I cant find this version anywhere

I think any recovery from a 2.24.xxx.x will work, but wait and see if someone else comments.
the recovery from this zip, would likely work. I used a Telus one for my Rogers device.

If you need that recovery because you want to install an Ota update, simply download the update and select "install later". Once the download is complete, copy the update zip file from your phone to your computer, open it and extract firmware.zip from it then open firmware.zip and extract recovery.img. Flash it to your phone and you're good to install the update.

Hello, I flashed LOS with my m7 international version. Sadly, Lineage dropped the support. I then flashed back to stock ROM via twrp. However, the stock ROM always prompt me to install the OTA update and I couldn't because I replaced the stock recovery with twrp.
So, my question is can I just revert twrp back to stock recovery with the ROM being untouched. Or do I need to do so like this 100%?
Thanks.
If you can find the correct version of the stock recovery for your current firmware you can fastboot flash that.

How can I find the stock recovery? My version is: 7.18.708.21
However, I cannot find it on google.com.
please help.
When I typed "HTC One M7 stock recovery" into Google the first result I got was this XDA thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2545227, so that's where I'd start looking.
As far as I can tell 7.18.708.21 is a HTC Asia HK software version. That thread has a recovery image for 7.18.708.2. I couldn't tell you whether the recovery changed at all between that and 7.18.708.21, so it's possible that that file will do what you want, but I cannot make any promises.
Otherwise you just have to try an RUU, as that guide you linked describes.
Yeah, I also got 7.18.708.2. However, I would not take the risk unless I found the right one. Thanks though.

Download your ota update
Select "install later"
Connect your phone to your compter and copy the ota zip file from the download folder to your desktop.
Use winrar to open the ota zip file and extract firmware.zip from it
Use winrar to open firmware.zip and extract the recovery.img file.
Thats the recovery you need, flash it with fastboot then reboot phone and install the post poned ota
If the ota fails to install, youll have to flash a ruu
