Hi guys I'm new on this forum and I hope this is the right place to put this thread.
I wanted to try the Cyanogenmod with my HTC One and got it installed and working properly but then I decided that the mod was not for me and I wanted to go back to the normal os, now I dont have any os at all and for some reason I can't start the cyanogenmod again, I have read a lot of threads and guides on how to fix this but I haven't found the right thread for me so I thought I would start my own. I should also mention that I tried a lot of these fixes and probably made the situation worse but I hope I can still fix this.
What do you need to know to possibly help me and what do I need?
And since I'm completely new on everything related to anything please explain things as simple as possible
Thanks in advance!

Did you make a nandroid backup from recovery before you installed cyanogenmod?
Or you could flash ARHD 53 rom, it looks like the stock rom + some extra feature. Very stable rom and always up to date.
What recovery version are you using?

Always make a nandroid backup before you tamper with the phone! If you had, would have been very easy to go back to stock.

There is a stock 4.19.401.11 rom uploaded by arhd here. You'll have to manually flash the corresponding firmware if you want to be 100% stock. I'll suggest you tu use TWRP 2.6.3.3 instead of CWM.
Go ahead with the ruu posted above.

Yeah I realize I should have done a backup but I'm not used to doing stuff like this with my phone and didn't do enough research before, but you learn from your mistakes I guess.

The ruu.exe should work flawlessly but don't forget, with S-ON you need to relock bootloader to use it! Note that the ruu will wipe everything including your sdcard so backup your personal/media files before.
Code:
fastboot oem lock
also better to md5 checksum the ruu.exe before running it!
md5:
9ad4111ce86981e3dffcce6d9ee80551

md5 is to check if the file you downloaded (i.e your ruu) is not corrupted (bad download)
use this small software to check md5 https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/77459918/WinMD5.exe
select your ruu.exe and copy/paste the md5 checksum I have posted above. If this match then your safe to run the ruu. If not, then re-download the file.

glad it worked. if you flash a new rom in the future, make a nandroid backup from custom recovery before. Also a good idea to make a copy of that backup up on your computer.

this is because you the tried to flash something (ROM or any other package) with S-ON
you have to flash it with custom recovery, CWM or TWRP
which one you selected?

So I'll tell you my story.
First it was on sense, then I installed OneDroid using TWRP v2.6.3.3, It worked perfectly fine but battery drain was to bad so I decided to return to Sense, so I flashed a flashable .zip. Eveyrthing worked ok. Then I heard that AOKP had better battery life so I downloaded it, but it didn't want to install, It kept saying ERROR. Then I've thought of flashing the Google Play Edition. So here everything went wrong. it tried to flash with TWRP but It got failed aswell. then I flashed CWM on it, installed the Google Play Edition rom and rebooted my phone, after 3 seconds it reboots, and it keeps on rebooting. but eventually I got back into Recovery and flashed the Sense rom that I still had on my phone. But when I was installing that, It got failed. Then I tried to flash TWRP to install the Sense rom, but after I flashed TWRP, I couldn't go back into recovery. Then the phone get stuck on the HTC logo screen.
So now I want to flash Sense with RUU but I don't know which one to install and it fails when I flash the .zip with cmd. It fails at "checking signature".
PLEASE PEOPLE HELP ME, it's my brother phone's and I messed up

I'll be back in a little while, but in the meantime can you confirm,

2- what OS are you running (Win7 / 8 / 8.1, Ubuntu, Mac)
3- do not type the output of "fastboot getvar all", use copy/paste

Sorry didn't come back yesterday, but I'll be online a bit later...
In the meantime, flash the ROM I sent you, and use http://rumrunner.us/ to get s-off
to get the rom to your phone, go to custom recovery (CWM or TWRP), then use one of the following methods:
1- OTG cable
2- adb push <name of rom>.zip /data/media/0/
3- adb sideload <name of rom>.zip
example of adb push:
Code:
C:\ADB2>[B]adb push Guru_Reset_M7_3.62.401.1.zip /data/media/0/[/B]
2922 KB/s (1102709591 bytes in 368.450s)
note that adb push will not show any kind of progress until it completes (about 5 to 10 minutes).
and finally choose "install" in CWM or TWRP and install it.
then use rumrunner; remember reading the rumrunner instruction (especially the firewall/antivirus etc).
I used O.M.J's RUU but i am still getting ERROR 155 The ROM Update Utility cannot update your Android phone. Please get the correct ROM Update Utility and try again. I'm not sure what I am doing wrong. I do notice that when I'm at the screen that asks me to update my image my current image info is empty.

I've never had that happen on my android, it has happened on my iPad but try it on a pc or something.
I recently made my phone S-Off, used SuperCid and flashed an RUU.
Then I flashed viper rom and now want to flash either Paranoid android or Carbon but every time I do, the phone boots into the rom and then reboots or reboot from the boot splash.
I restored a backup from before the ViperRom flash and the problem still occur
Any help is greatly appreciated!

Doesn't Viper require a special version of TWRP? You could try a newer version of TWRP or flash your stock firmware and do a reset in stock recovery. Then flash TWRP and a custom rom. Or run the RUU again.

I updated TWRP, no change
I also ran the RUU again, no difference
Sidenote: The stock rom is rotated landscape after the RUU

Currently on the RUU so hopefully will be able to flash what I need but sadly can not charge which is a problem I have with sense roms
EDIT: Back to the original question, after flashing the stock firmware and RUU, flashing PA still results in reboot after booting into the rom once I start going though the gapps getup. If I dont touch anything it doesnt reboot

I don't use PA, but maybe it is something in the way it is compiled that is causing you the issue. The two version I looked at were both beta builds which means there maybe bugs. Sorry, I can not help you on this one. I think you may have enough post to post in the development forum so you could possibiliy post your question there.
@v7znay Could you help parthami with his bootloop issue with PA?

I recently unlocked my phone via HTC dev site and I also made a backup of stock and I decided to upgrade to Custom Rom Android revolution 81..0 and since then I have had issues, I wiped all datas and now I am left with NO OS. I also tried Android revolution google play edition, it successfully installed but unforuntately boot loops because of S-ON and I dont know TWRP compatibility issues. I am confused.
Ideally, I want to get back my STOCK make an adb back up of stock, Make it S-OFF and then try all custom ROMS. I need all possible help. I am also posting other device info.

Returning back to stock will probably require s-off first so you can flash a RUU with a lower version. Better to post a complete "fastboot getvar all" (remove emei and sn) so we can determine what is the best solution for you.

I'm 100% sure that TWRP 2.6.3.0 was the cause of your trouble when flashing ARHD. Flashing twrp 2.6.3.3 should resolve that issue
Code:
fastboot flash recovery name_of_recovery.img
fastboot erase cache
fastboot reboot-bootloader
Your stock version is the pretty standard WWE version X.XX.401.X so it should not be difficult to find a nandroid backup of this version over here.
You can also just update the recovery to 2.6.3.3, flash arhd, s-off the phone. With s-off you'll be able to flash every rom you want including GPE and you'll also have the ability to use a RUU like 4.19.401.9 or 1.28.401.7 to restore your phone back to stock so your adb backup will not be required.

So after having some problems with CM11 I decided to flash an RUU and return to stock. THe initial installation went fine, but when I installed an OTA my phone just bootloops now. I tried some solutions I found online and all that has done has relocked my bootloader. I have access to fastboot but that's it. I hope someone can help me.

First remove your imei and serialno in your post, you don't want it to get out to the world.
Have you tried Factory Reset in bootloader?
Unfortunately, there is no RUU for your phone, however there is a nandroid backup at this post. But to use it you will need to unlock your bootloader and flash TWRP 2.6.3.3.
Try the reset first since you are stock.
