two whatsapp running at the same phone - Windows Phone 8 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Back when the whatsapp beta was public I had both versions running on my phone. I wonder if it would be possible to save the XAP in an interop ulock ATIV S for installation on a developer phone unlock and have two whatsapp running at the same time with two different numbers. Then we could have two whatsapp even when the phone is restored. The current whatsapp beta is restricted, but surely there are still people that preserves the previous version

reinstall whatsapp in new phone

Hello guys
I had s1 before then it had been stolen .It had whatsapp installed
now I got s3 mini and I have the sim card with the same previous number
when I downloaded whatsapp it told me that the number is already registered so what can I do
anything to disable the whatsapp in the stolen phone or can I use TB to do that ??
Contact WhatsApp staff they may help. You could also try to install WhatsApp+ (unofficial), send 1 message, then reinstall WhatsApp. Worked for me.

Wait please can you explain the way which worked for you?
and do you have any idea about viber the same problem
Just try to install WhatsApp+, send 1 message and then install WhatsApp. It should work.

WhatsApp can only be used in one device per number. so the stolen S1 will have to verify again with your number. as long as your old phone's SIM blocked, he can't register with same number.
so don't worry. your WhatsApp ID keeps safe.
my experince is try to install WhatsApp on PC (with BlueStacks App). I verified it, then my WhatsApp on my phone asking to verify to use and it said "WhatsApp can only be used in one device". so then I verified on the phone, then on my PC, asking to verify.. nah, that's some example

[Q] Phone Bill shows SMS which I did not send

Hi, I'm looking for advice.
I used Odin to update my UK GT-N7000 from ICS to the German JB 4.1.1 at the beginning of March and later OTA to 4.1.2 I did not wipe data or reset at the time of Odin update. I had a couple of minor problems with home wallpaper reverting to default and Swype changing to Samsung standard keyboard during some scheduled Titanium backups. At the time I wasn't aware of any other problems and I didn't do anything to correct these problems because I was away from home for 3 months and didn't have good network access in case something went wrong. I returned home a few days ago and did a factory reset, rerooted and reloaded my phone and these 2 problems have not returned.
My real problem is that I have been checking my phone bill today and have seen entries for more than 50 SMS messages to one number which I did not send. I have checked my logs and there is no record of the SMS messages having been sent.
The number is not in my contacts list but there is one entry which is similar. The SMS listed number has 2 digits missing from the middle of the contact number.
Has anyone any knowledge of this type of problem, I don't know if I should contact the mobile company for a refund. I haven't seen any bill entries since I did the factory reset 3 days ago so I don't know if the problem has been resolved.
check google on that number! Someone might have figured it out already.
alternatively, check with lbe security, translation on this forum for your installed apps sms permissions. Block those you have doubts with a prompt for permission and see if it reoccurs. Read the thread for wich version is best. You need root, so disclaimer your own risk etc
Which apps do you have installed anyways?
Would love to know which app is causing this
I just read about a sophisticated android Trojan spreading in south Korea sending sms to premium services.
Are you Korean-German by any chance?

Are you using a social media app? If I share pictures from my phone on scope it uses the mms protocol.

Thanks baz77 for the tip about LBE, I have loaded it and it hasn't identified any problems, maybe the reset has resolved the problem but I don't believe the problem was caused by malicious software
I tried ringing the number and it did not connect. The number associated with the SMS messages was my wife's mobile number but with two digits missing from the middle.
I have a lot of apps as follows, Co-Pilot Live, Merriam Webster dictionary, Titanium Backup Pro, Dropbox, EFS File Explorer, XE Currency, Google Earth, eWallet, GPS Status, Ebay, xda, Google Keep, Sam Mobile, Skype, Google Maps, Epson Printer, Sky+, OpenSignal, Drippler, Chrome beta, UK Met Office, Converter, SuperSU, AP Backup & Restore, SMS Backup & Restore, Thinkbroadband Speedtester, BBC News, Daily Mail News and most of the preloaded Google stuff. I use Lookout and at the time of failure I also had Avast installed, neither issued any warnings.
The Note operated without sending any unauthorised SMS messages for 4 days after I reset and reloaded it. I used Odin to update to Hungary LT5 today and then re-rooted after a factory reset. It's looking good now. I'll post again if I have any more problems.
No anloid, I've never been anywhere near Korea north or south. I live in the UK but I was in the Netherlands when the problems occurred. I was in Germany a few weeks before that. I didn't see any unknown programs and don't use DEX2JAR.
cheryanne, I don't use Twitter or Facebook. The closest I would get to social media would be Skype for phone calls from other countries if you can count that. I rarely use mms or share photos.
cool, its weird occurrence, I dont see any weird apps so far. Let us know if it reoccurs.

MMS Issue + Invalid Recipient Issue

Has anyone noticed an oddness with the stock messaging app on the P9?
When I send out a group message, say to 2 or 3 of my friends. When they reply to the message, their messages come separate as individual messages and not show up in the original message thread that was sent.
I had the EVA-10(Chinese dual sim 64gb) but got rid of that and got the L09 Int'l Unlocked single sim version. Both are doing the same thing.
Just wanted to see if anyone knows if there is a solution to fix this?
Also, I didn't have this issue on the Chinese version but I am having it on this Int'l Unlocked version. The stock messaging app is giving me this error when I want to text someone. 3rd party apps work but the stock is not allowing me to text people within the app. If I go under contacts and choose to send a text through the contacts app with the default messaging app, it works just fine but it won't work from the messaging app directly. Really odd.
Thanks
Huawei P9 stock SMS app issues - need group MMS fix
I confirm having the same issue with the unlocked international (EVA-L09) version of the Huawei P9.
You can fix the texting individual people by reformatting your contact numbers into appropriate international format with Playstore app "Twitch 2.0". That worked great for me and avoided the need for any root access.
I still need a fix for the group MMS issue. All me sends to/from a group always come through individually.
Hope we find a fix!!
Yes I noticed the invalid number issue had something to do with only US numbers. Every int'l number I had in my contacts would work just fine. All I had to do was to put a +1 in front of the US people and that fixed the issue but like you said no solution for the MMS issue at the moment. I am hoping with @paulobrien getting a ROM out soon, we might get our issue resolved. I will shoot a tweet out to Huawei too but doubt they will even respond.
Any update on this issue? I'm experiencing the same problem and was hoping someone had figured it out by now.
I know this is an old thread, but was hoping someone found a fix for the group MMS issue? I have a P10 and the same thing is happening. Huawei support was no help.

P9 and group texting in the stock messenger app not threading correctly

I'm still on 4.1 and having issues with group texts. The stock messaging app (which I happen to like) threads them as individual texts. Not a group text. I didn't see any option for threading group messages in the settings.
I hate sms (this is one of the reasons) but everyone in the USA still operates on it.
Anyone else experienced this ? Any fixes for this in the stock messaging app? (Yes I know I can download a different one). I'm on t-mobile USA.
it is exist in Emui 5, you should update your phone
Okay, thanks for the heads up. Well I've tried but huawei hasn't pushed the update yet for my region (USA) and I'm not willing to hack it since it's irreversible and I might be selling my P9 and getting the plus.

Dual Sim with twice Whatapp?

Hello,
with many phones it is possible to use Whatsapp with both simcard. Is there a way in Zuk2Pro?
Regards
Robert
Hi in theory it is possible.
A) each sim has a phone number that will allow you to activate Whatsap
B) with zui u can clone apps to have 2 times the same app. Meaning 2 WhatsApp
or install whatsapp busines from play store
