HTC ONE in RED?

Hello, I have been looking for information is regards if the red colored device. I have been told by one of the distributors in USA that the Red ONE will be sold only in Hong Kong but I have not been able to find any information that confirms that. Does anyone know if this is true?

I think the red version was going to be exclusive to the Verizon model but since Verizon didn't want to carry it they will not be making it. I could be wrong, but I've heard that from a lot of ppl and it makes sense.!

I asked HTC directly and this is the answer I got:

That is handtec site and that is already old... It was on preorder on february but they changed it into Out of stock when HTC announced that the red one is a mistake.

O2 seem to have PAYG devices in stock. Does anyone know if these are unlocked?

o2 devices in germany have all a locked boot loader... the carrier id (cid) is o2_102

Yes o2 have them in stores as went to buy one. Do they know anything about this handset NO. Didn't buy one as no staff knew a thing about the one boo hoo.

just to let you guys know, i called em up today to confirm that itll be with me tomorrow, and they said its not in stock, i asked when would it be back in stock, they said they dont know, so i cancelled my order, gonna try instore at phones4u

I walked into my local o2 and bought it pay as you go in the spot and took one home on Monday.
Also it is locked but I called up have them ****. They will unlock it free

well sir you were very very fortunate, i checked 4 p4u stores, and 3 o2 stores on Tuesday and found nothing, finally gave up and ordered online.....got delivered next day

[Q] Where to buy HTC ONE?

hello everyone, i am new here and this is going to be my first post.... i live in florida USA and i have a question where i can i buy an unlock HTC ONE and want to know if i buy an international HTC ONE unlock, would it be able to use t-mobile 4g network in the US? or just wi fi?
i really want to have this phone now, i cannot wait any longer to come out in US t-mobile. any suggestion will be appreciate it.

There are few places that will ship it to US, but none has it in stock. Handtec.co.uk will have first batch April 3rd and Amazon.co.uk will have it April 12th. There is also eXpansys.com but has very bad reviews.
When buying from Europe remember that you will (should) not pay VAT on the device when shipping it to US and you will have 2 years of statutory warranty from the vendor that does not get voided by rooting - this however is sometimes difficult to enforce.

I'm trying to pre-order the One from handtek, but every time I submit the order, it leads me to an empty page with only the text

I don't believe the HTC One International version is compatible with the US networks. Best bet is to email Handtec and ask them.

USA HTC One unlocked $575, UK HTC One unlocked £500

This just seems pure price discrimination to me. You guys in the US are lucky, our HTC One here $750.
Are there any US exporters that the UK guys have used to save some ££?

[Q] Sprint MotoX Bad Esn-What to do with it?

Hello, I am looking for some advice please.
I purchased a Motox Sprint from someone who claimed it had a clean ESN, but when I tried unlocking it through Motorolas website it denied it.
Is there a way to remedy this to where it can be used on no contract prepaid (iePagePlus), or should I just sell it and let it be someone else headache?
Do the unlock codes you purchase online really work, and if so are there any associated to this forum or recommended?
I really like the phones build and got it at what seemed like a good deal at the time,but it dont feel so good now.

A bad esn has nothing to do with unlocking the bootloader. If it has a bad esn, it was stolen. Do NOT sell it and make someone else suffer. You made the wrong decision... don't make it someone else's problem.
Online unlocking sites do work, but it isn't going to help you. All the US carriers have a shared backlist database.

Also in future you can go. Online, call or go in store and make sure ESN is clean. Try and stick to swapa as well.

Thanks I intend to do that. The phone still has service under his account ,so I'm thinking he either walked on the account or will report it as lost or stolen collect a new phone and now he has money.
I've debated calling Sprint , as he basically stole the phone from them and sold it to me which is theft by deception from what I've read in some other forums.
I just don't think they will do anything about it though.
