we cannot assume it as issue!
maybe ur phone is fine but its compatibility with other devices got problem!
anyway first of all try repairing firmware by PCC if there s problem in ur phone software they will solve by it.

yeah i didn't have this connect disconnect issue before it started happening after installing nut's flashable zip and ftf

reflashed kitkat with nothing restored and bluetooth still conencts then disconnects after a few minutes. didn't have this issue on 4.3 anyone else have the same problem?

found out it's a kitkat 4.4.2 bug as it did the same thing on my moto x and my gfs xperia z ultra on 4.4.2. Only way to fix it is disconnecting bluetooth from teh car then connect again from the car. I hope google fixes this stupid connect/disconnect bug.

Is there any fix for this bluetooth issue yet? I just bought the phone from Sony (lte version) and I can't talk more then 2 minutes before the bluetooth starts breaking up so bad that people can not hear me. I have updated all the firmware.

Only way it works for me is when i disconnect it and reconnect from the car. If it was set to auto connect it fails on me. Disconnecting every few minutes. in heard googled is working on a fix for 4.4.3

Bluetooth pairing problem with car

My moto-x Verizon DE with 4.2.2 installed connects to my Mercedes fine and the phonebook is loaded. Then, at random times, it disconnects and reconnects. This can be during a call. I have no clue what is making it drop. This has happened since I received the phone with 4.0 and it's getting frustrating.
I would love a solution....

4.2.2? Or 4.4.2? If you haven't upgraded yet, you are missing out on a world of goodness.
If you are 4.4.2, I have no clue why you have issues, as 4.4+ cleared all my issues with Bluetooth. Good luck!

I have had mine disconnect once or twice when i had a lot of apps running.

fingers typed the wrong version. I do have 4.4.2 running.
It may be some interaction between programs...for example, I wear a pebble watch (bluetooth) and a host of other programs that probably do on-line updates during the day. If it's interaction, it's going to be hard to find the culprit.....

A lot of people reported BT issues with car systems after 4.4 and 4.4.2 upgrades not only on Moto X but also on other phones. Apparently something was changed in BT implementation in these versions. I am on 4.2.2, it is perfectly compatible with my car, so I am never upgrading because downgrade from 4.4.2 back to 4.2.2 is not possible for Moto X.
Mine does the same thing in my Chevy Cobalt. I see it flashing "Bluetooth connected" on my radio screen periodically when I'm driving. Sometimes if I get a phone call it won't be connected right away, so I have to answer the phone with the handset, and after a few seconds Bluetooth picks up.
It also doesn't auto connect to a A2DP bluetooth adapter that I have in my car for streaming music. I have to either connect manually, or use an app to connect once it connects to my car radio deck.
I'm rooted on 4.4. Just bought an unlock code, and will be bumping up to 4.4.2, hoping that makes it a little more reliable...

If you move to 4.4 it'll be fine. 4.4.2 will change your bootloader however.

4.4.2 does NOT solve the problem
The Bluetooth stack was changed in 4.4 making it unreliable. I had to downgrade to 4.2.2 because I rely on Bluetooth. On 4.4 the switch off between voice calls and music rarely ever works and you have to toggle Bluetooth off and on to get it working again.

Completely stock here with 4.4.2 and my bluetooth works perfect in my 13 Elantra. No issues at all with disconnecting.
I would really like to understand why my phone audio breaks up when connected to my car....and why it drops the connectivity and automatically re-establishes the connectivity at random times. At this point, I've just disconnected my phone from the car, but that's not a solution.
I am now on 4.4.2 and Bluetooth works much better. If you're still having issues, I'd consider a factory reset or an SBF to see if it helps. I was rooted 4.4 and did SBF to 4.4.2 before unlocking to start with a clean slate.
Auto connect to both of my devices now works, Bluetooth does not constantly connect and reconnect to my car anymore, and stays connected while on calls.

I'm hoping to avoid that step backwards. I found on the q&a board a possible solution for the breakup of voice....turn off the internal equalization and clear the cache. I did both and hope that solves one of my problems.

[Q] Audio Jack keeps detecting headphones

A week ago I updated my Xperia Z (6603) to lollipop from android 4.2.2. After this update every seemed to work well except for the speaker that all of a sudden didn't work anymore. At first I feared a hardware fault but then i noticed a notification from Smart Connect saying that the headphones where connected except they weren't. This explained a lot since the phone was indeed acting as is there were headphones connected. After this discovery I tried a lot of solutions I found on the internet.
I tried to plug in and plug out my headphones.
I rebooted the device.
I downloaded the app Sound About, it worked but it would mean that I will forever need to change the setting in the app if I wanted to listen to music on my headphones or over the speakers.
I fiddled in the headphone jack with a toothpick (??)
I reflashed the Lollipop firmware and tried different regions.
After that I tried reflashing every Sony Firmware that I found on the internet. I found out that when I reflashed to the first Android 4.1 Firmware that my speakers started working again. Giving me hope that this was indeed a Software problem and not a Hardware failure (since my warranty has ran out this March). After that I flashed Android 4.2.2 and everything was still all right. But then when I flashed to android 4.3 and it resulted in my original problem. And the same with Android 4.4.4 and ofcourse 5.0.
After I week I'm getting quite desperate since I now need to carry my headphones around for if someone calls me. Another problem is that I can't downgrade to 4.2.2 since last week I also bought an Android Wear device and I need at least 4.3 to be able to use it. So I was hoping that maybe some of you guys know if this is a commonly known problem. So if you are familiar with this problem and are able to help please post your solution below. I'd be extremely greatfull!
edit: To be more precise, it all goes goes wrong with Firmware 10.4.1.B.0.101.
I have updated my firmware to 5.0.2 about 5 days ago. It all goes fine until now, not experiencing any of your problem eventhough with KitKat Firmware 10.5.1.A.0.230 or Jellybean 10.4.1.B.0.101.
FYI because I've unlocked my bootloader and can't received OTA or PC companion update, so I download and flash the FTF using Sony Flash Tools.
Have you tried C6603_10.6.1.A.0.454_HK.ftf version? It works just fine for me.
And let me know whether your bootloader unlocked or locked.
==================================================================
Device = Xperia Z C6602
Firmware = Lolipop 10.6.A.0.454
Bootloader = Unlocked
Rooted = Yes
Thanks for the reply, I did try that firmware but sadly it didn't work for me. And my bootloader is still locked. Does that matter? It also tried updating OTA or Sony's PC Companion but both with similar results.

Since your bootloader still locked, unlocking it will lost your TA partition (can't use bravia engine on album). I've lost it because I don't backup the TA. So, if you plan for unlocking it, be sure backup your TA.
Don't know what to say, because Mine work just fine. But I believe that was Software fault because you've said that just fine on earlier Firmware and THE MOST IMPORTANT it's work with Sound About. Glad you still can use your Speaker although kinda annoying for keep changing the setting to swap between speaker and headset. I'll try to work around to find any way out for your problem.

A headset contains microphone but a headphone doesnt.
just insert the headset but dont pust it hard leave a little space. If you see headphone icon and not headset icon play any music. When music is currently playing and you hear sound on the headset just push the jack hard to lock. The headphone icon must still be a headphone icon. If it change to headset(thats the icon with microphone) icon repeat the process....if you insert jack on phone directly and push hard to lock , you will see a headset icon, in this setting you can never hear music.
this is a mystery bug in xperia z NEVER been fixed. i also have this problem yet i gave up already .. im running custom rom Lineage OS 14.1 nighties still have this issue.
There is no solution am afraid its been 2 years am facing this problem and use sound about to change to speaker or headphone
my friend had this problem before but he fixed it by changing that thing where you plug the headphones .

Bluetooth issues

Wondering if anyone else are having issues with the bluetooth on the note 5. One issue I'm having is the connection to my galaxy gear disconnects and reconnects randomly and after a few disconnects seems like the phone just ignores the gear and manual connection only works 50% of the time other times I have to reset the phone to regain connection. Other problem Im having, which I cant figure out, is my car bluetooth stereo connects with no issue to my phone but when using calling it uses the car speakers for output audio but the phones mic for input audio. Tried my S5 and the stereo works perfectly. Any suggestions? I've tried wiping caches, unpairing repairing devices. Factory reset (which worked for about a few hours but started the same issues again). I was thinking it may be software related but no software or updates were installed between the factory reset and having issues again.
Yes I'm having the same problem with my gear s2 just got off the phone with tmobile there sending me a new note 5 hopefully it will fix it I'll update after the switch

hi,
i have Note5 stock Rom, no root. I also have a Gear watch (still on Android.. not Tizen, rooted, Null 23 Rom) Been using the Gear watch since launch with my then Note 3, Note 4 and now with Note5.
Overall no problems at all. Only replaced the watch battery a month back thats all.
My Bluetooth connection to all my devices has been overall, very good.
I am currently using my Gear with Note5. The Bluetooth connection is very, very good. i cannot recall it ever disconnecting from Note5. (if in acceptable distance.. +-
10 metres or so.) Overall Gear is working 100%.
Point i am making is according to my experience, Bluetooth connection with Note5 works fine... no disconnecting issues.
I know this doesn't solve your issues,
but good to know.
Good luck
I'm wondering if I may have a hardware issue. If connected to a BT device (eg gear) and I move more than a couple ft from the device connection is lost. I'm very confused with my car stereo though, what would cause BT to split and use my phones mic and the stereos speaker not the stereo mic? Anyone ever experience a similar issue?

hi,
futher i can add,
i use Note5 Bluetooth
with following devices no issues. No disconnecting issues or any other issues.
Polor M400 Bluetooth Hart rate watch( re smart notifications) ,
Jam Bluetooth headset (streaming music) ,
Phillips Bluetooth dock.( streaming music.)
My Lenovo laptop,( Sending of pics, apps etc)
and use it to connect to my other Phone devices etc
Never had any issues with disconnecting.
Given that the devices are normally
about 2 meters apart when in use sometimes 10...12 meters.
I would suggest you get you device checked, as yes it does not seem right
that it disconnects so easy (when so near)
good luck
This might be an odd question but how would someone go about testing the phones BT, it connects just not stable. Only reason Im asking is I dont want to send it to samsung and have to wait 2-4 weeks and them to come back and say its working.

hi ,
yes ,i understand, you don't want to wait for period of time ,w/o your phone. !!!
I would have maybe done some "little tests" , to get a better opinion of the Bluetooth issue ??
eg. Test your devices in environment/area where there is no interference , ( no concrete walls ,buildings ...an open area .No electric cables/towers )
An open area ,field or another locations than your home or workplace etc .
See what is you min. and max. distance on disconnection ,if it only occurs more at your home than another area .? Get some facts and maybe make a small video to illustrate your issue ?
and show it to "someone" in the know ???
eg ..If you bought phone through service provider show video to them ./Samsung ( i have a habit that when i have a issue ..........................
eg. broken roof tiles/wall socket /a damage car part ......etc etc ....
i would take photo's/video ,(with my phone and keep copy on my phone ) and when talking to "somebody" in the know/or send your device to Samsung ,show them photo's /video of issues. It helps them to understand your issues better ,
and maybe give you better advice on issue ?
Also ,try to compare you results with somebody with similar device ???
Google is your friend ???
Google around ..???
you might just learn something in process ,that can help ?
Above is basics of what i would have done .
good luck
Bluetooth firmware v 4.2 and older versions .

hi
further to my post above ,
i just want to add another issue you should be aware .
Bluetooth v 4.2 (Note5 firmware ) and compatibility issues with other Bluetooth versions 3.0 ,v 4.0 v 4.1 etc ,To give you a real life example .......
On my Gear watch i use to have Bluetooth v 3.0 ( ? )
i was using my Note 3 ( at the time ).Then my Note 3 was upgraded to Bluetooth v 4.0 ,
when i started having disconnection issues .Also in Bluetooth settings on my Note3 ,device my Gear would not show up in paired devices or stick in list .
When my Gear Bluetooth firmware was upgrade to v 4.0,
i found the disconnection issues was resolved and my Gear then showed up in pair devices
I am not saying this is the issue,
but you should be aware of what Bluetooth firmware your other devices are using ...?????
Is it Bluetooth L E ( Low Energy ) version 4.2 or v 3.0, v 4.0 ,v 4.1,
good luck
Hi again

i've got such issues after restoring Note 5. i did reset gear to the factory settings and paired devices...
Thanks for the replies. After doing some testing and what not the only thing I can figure is a bad BT module/chip in the phone. Sent it in through my service provider today. Will post results when I gets it back. Using my old S3 for now until I gets it back, its like my phone shrunk and got sugnificantly slower lol.
update for anyone who is wondering or having the same prroblems. I got my phone back from samsung today, they replaced the main board in the phone. BT seems is working good now and the phone seems snappier than before. Thanks for the help. ☺

My XZ2 often dropps known Bluetooth devices

Hi all,
I have the issue, that I need to reconnect my XZ2 to my BMW 1series (F20) really often, because it does not autoconnect when the ignition is turned on.
So I need to pair the XZ2 again and again with my car.
Also my BT-Sony Headset is affected.
It seems, that my Phone drops sporadically all paired bluetooth devices.
I noticed that I can bypass this problem with a daily reboot of my Phone. But this shouldnt be the Solution.
Any Ideas? Can someone confirm a Bluetooth problem?

Try using new flasher to reinstall the latest firmware.
But delete the "userdata" file, it would remove your userdata.
I gather root, backuped my stuff with Titanium backup and wiped userdata, too.
Now my smart lock is working again.
Thx Martin. Hope pie fixed it.
I have an odd Bluetooth issue too, lately it's been disconnecting the ear buds while changing streaming apps (i.e. from Tidal to Spotify or Podcast) or when moving between networks, either between access points or from WiFi to cellular data. Just started happening this week. Didn't change anything that I can remember. It's almost behaving like there is a power saving feature enabled which is trying to save on Bluetooth use. Sometimes it'll reconnect on its own and sometimes I have to toggle BT. It's weird.
I also have Bluetooth issue.
I have a Bluetooth weighing scale,my xz2 can connect to it but everytime I sync my scale data the scale app gives me a Bluetooth error, however, I also have a xz and it works well.
And I also have a Sony ear phone(MDR-EX750BT), yesterday I connected it but it didn't play any sounds I had to reboot my phone ,then the issue disappeared. I don't know when the show again.this shouldn't be a Sony quality

yeah, ditto. The connection to my Sony WF-1000X earbuds is stable now, with no disconnects like I was getting with the later updates of Oreo.
FYI, I had to wipe my user partition to do the eventual update. the first flash via Newflasher where I kept it intact apparently went bad and messed up my radios and fingerprint scanner. that's the first time I've ever had issues doing that.
Now I am getting Bluetooth problems.
The music has stuttering and normal intervals.
Very disturbing.
I contacted the Sony support.

Same issue faced multiple times while playing music and gaming. The Wi-Fi also doesn't connect to the network automatically, have to connect manually
