Trickster Mod Screen Calibration - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys,
Sorry if this is a noob question, but I downloaded Trickster Mod for my HTC One (M7) so I can play around with the screen colours, but I notice the app doesn't have any options for the screen (the only options are Info, Tool, General, and Specific). Is there anything or any app someone can use to change around the screen colours and gamma on this phone?

You need a custom kernel like the Faux for edit the screen colours and the gamma.
With a stock kernel you will never edit the colours and gamma of screen...

I have rooted the phone and put on a ROM made by Renovate. It didn't have those options I guess. I'm not sure about the differences between a Kernel and a ROM. If I flash a ROM am I putting on a new Kernel? Do you know of one that has these features?

I looked for the Faux kernel, installed it and then my phone wasn't considered rooted any more, not letting me use trickster mod. Has that happened to anyone before?

what rom? there are a few roms that removed the clock altogether. its not just something you can 'drag' up there
I dont know very well but I can say that kernel 2.6.32.9 and twingerbread 1.3
disclaimer: I'm not an android dev.
The clock is in the framework. I know from reading that the font color is set in system/framework/services.jar. I'm not sure, but the code may be in one of the xml files. Anyway, the point of this is that you need to be a dev and understand these things to be able to add the clock back in to your current rom.
Probably the easier way, if not having a clock is a show stopper, would be to flash another rom. You can usually find screen shots of the rom before you decide on one.

VOODOO colors - "best settings is here"

tested: on Super-AMOLED
so best SET up is:
put cyanogen wallpaper first one- SPACE. (remember colors !!!)
now put manually in Voodoo App ->
1) Screen v1 gamma hack:
-50 red
-53 green
-44 blue
2) SRB multipliers:
Red ="2300875360"
Green ="2300875360"- update.
Blue ="2709919680" -update.
(apply both settings: Screen v1 gamma hack,SRB multipliers)
(now check you wallpaper)
WELCOME to BEST! (because with original kernel colors looks so bad, I compare with "nexus one"), after my settings 100% satisfaction guarantee !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ITS 100% BETTER !!!!! it's like before COLORS are so juicy! where BLACK is BLACK ! GREEN is GREEN, and BLUE IS BLUE !!!!

if you dont like it just come back to original settings...u will see big difference!
FIX:
I was informed that many people got one problem:
"IF YOUR SCREEN before switching off it goes all "wierd and yellow,OR GREEN" TRY TO PICK UP YOUR SETTING NUMBERS: EXAMPLE:
add on manually +4
example:
original is: -50 red
-53 green
-44 blue
+4 it's gonna be like that:
-54 red
-57 green
-48 blue
....add on until the problem goes away!
OR TRY ANOTHER WAY TO FIX: GO TO SETTINGS>DISPLAY>SCREEN TIMEOUT> 15 SECONDS
OR
Screen animation off- in CM Settings
Pretty excellent man. Thanks for this!
wow, thanks! looks great!

IV noticed when doing this and the screen dims just before switching off it goes all wierd and yellow. Also when lowering the screen brightness the same happens..anyone know how to prevent the screen dimming before switching off on miui?
Sent from my Nexus S running MIUI using XDA premium
Fixed it by going to settings-display-advanced and changing screen dim settings to 26....don't see what caused it..

try to pick up:
54 red
-57 green
-48 blue
update
Thread update people !!
Thanks. There is definitely a noticeable improvement with your settings for that wallpaper. The difference is also quite noticeable with the third CM wallpaper, blue streaks with little blue Andy. On my particular screen the whites are still a little off for my eye.
I couldn't fix the green screen when turning off the screen by adding -4 to each slider but a solution dinan posted did work. I turned back on screen off animations in CM Setting and that worked. I have all animations turned off in spare parts so I still don't see the screen off animation but checking the screen off animation in CM settings fixed this issue.
Best configuration for me is:
R=-42
G=-45
B=-36
if I go down colors are too overloaded for me...
Great settings
thanks, the settings looks great
enjoy people !
Anyone want to suggest any presets in the RGB Screen multiplier settings to coincide with these settings?

[Q] Galaxy S and gamma change in ICS

Hello there.
When I installed ICS (RC4.2) to my Galaxy S (GT-i9000), I noticed that the screen's gamma value had changed just enough to make all the colors look a bit darker. I know it isn't really that big of a problem, but I'd prefer to have the gamme value back to what is used to be. So I'm asking if there's a way to change the gamma value back to the way it was in, say, in Android 2.3.3?
I did a quick search and couldn't find any solution.
Thanks in advance!
sure dude, you can download Voodoo Sound App from market, you can manage gamma colors from there
it works for me

Share Your Gamma/Colour Settings

Well Im Pretty sure everyones had a chance to tinker with the screen settings on custom kernels like trinity and franco but what screen configs are you guys using Share em Here!
Include which app and kernel you used to configure the settings eg Trinity toolbox or Franco Kernel
also include your settings Obviously .
also Just a personal question from me does anyone know how to make trinity kernels colours and gamma settings (using the trinity toolbox) look stock because i'm always in a dilema : i love the performance on trinity but hate the oversaturated and blueish colours it gives by default
Thanks! PS Dont Eat me im a newb ;p

I am also using ARHD 70 and would be interested too! I was searching through Xposed, but I couldn´t find a module that´s able to do that.
Anyone else having an idea?
