Should be able to disable in stock app manager, I prefer titanium backup pro

I could be doing it wrong, but many of these are not able to be uninstalled or disabled on the stock setup?

My Mobile Hotspot stopped working, it gets stuck trying to turn on

Regarding
54. Setup Wizard

I see three apps with that name. One has a green android icon and is 308KB - it is apparently SetupWizard.apk. The other two have identical icons with a red check mark - one 4.00KB (with your accounts permission) and the other 0.00KB (with system tools permission). This icon matches VzwDeviceSetup.apk (and also LocationConsent.apk). Which of these can be safely disabled?

Memory Lag Band-Aid Fix For 1GB Units

Hey, just wanted to point my fellow MTCB users to this thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/android-auto/mtcd-discussion-questions-development/food-slow-mtcd-units-t3533764
I used the settings menu and only disabled Google Play Services. Yes, this will break google apps functionality particularly if the app requires a google account to be logged in. Google maps (Online) works and still has traffic functionality as well but no history or saved locations. Multitasking while using Maps so far has been much improved to the point where I can actually now multitask while using maps. No more waiting 5+ minutes for Maps to start working or switching between apps. Other users are reporting that it helps while using other various nav apps as well. (I am using a 5.1.1 Rom)
I do get a notification about updating Services when maps is launched but totally worth for me. I'm certainly no dev but a stripped down version of play services that can work with current google maps would be a perfect workaround for me. If its useful for you guys please give a thanks to Nomader0.
Also, please don't mention upgrading to 2gb of ram. That is an obvious fix for the memory shortage but is not something every user is willing or able to do.
I improved performance by removing a lot of what I perceive to be bloat. Through trial & error, I found the following items safe to remove:
1.0 (backview)
APK Installer
Basic Day Dreams
Black Hole 1.0
Bluetooth (widget)
Bubbles
Calculator 5.1.1
Calendar 5.1.1
Calendar Storage
CanBus 5.1.1
Com.Android.Wallpaper.HoloSpiral
Contacts 5.1.0.2
Contacts 5.1.1
Contacts Storage
Control Settings 1.0
Digital TV 1.0
Documents 5.1.1
Downloads 5.1.1
DVD 1.0
DVR
Email 7.0
Exchange Services 5.1.1
F Cam 1.0
File Manage 1.0
Gallery
Gmail 5.00
Google Calendar Sync 5.01
Google Contact Sync 5.01
Google Pinyin Input 3.3
Instructions 1.0
iPod 1.0
iPod 1.0
Magic Smoke Wallpaper
MMS Services 5.1.1
MMS Google
Music 1.0
Music 1.0 (widget)
Music Visulisation Wallpaper
OEM 1.0
Phase Beam
Photo 1.0
Photo Screensaver
Pico TTS 1.0
Print Spooler 1
Radio (widget)
Sync 1.0
USB iPod 1.0
Vehicle 1.0
Video 1.0
Weather
In addition to those which I noted down, there's probably other obvious apps such as any unused live wallpapers and stuff. Please note that I found "TV 1.0" unsafe to remove, even though I haven't got a TV tuner. If you remove this app, after a boot, it will have to reboot again. So, it gets to the launcher from a cold boot the reboots after a few seconds. From then on, it's OK. This is odd, it must be relying on something within that app even though I don't use it.
Could you please list your specs (unit, Android version, rom, etc.)

Did you use a particular app to remove all of those, or can they all be removed via the standard menus?

Already disabled some with ice box on MCTD with Malaysk ROM. With your list I gonna try to disable few more. Wonder what this one do:
CanBus 5.1.1
Control Settings 1.0
Vehicle 1.0
I disabled TV 1.0 too I'll check what gonna happen.
Don't forget to checkout the work being done with microg (https://microg.org)
https://forum.xda-developers.com/an...nt/mtcd-microg-install-massive-speed-t3581439
I came across microg when I started this thread but my digitizer broke soon after. Never got a chance to try it myself. People have got it working on mtcD not sure if anyone on mtcB has tried it yet.
I have ROM with MicroG and it works great but its always worth to disable some apps to safe memory. On my unit it boot fine without TV 1.0

Cloned Pokemon GO in Twin Apps with Google Account Doesn't Sync Walking Distance ?

Hi Everyone, I've posted this question on ZenTalk ASUS Forum, but it seems nobody have answer yet, so I'm trying to ask for help here. All screenshots related to this problem is attached
Model Name: ROG Phone 3 RAM 12 GB/Disk 256 GB, bought officially in Indonesia
Firmware Version: 17.0823.2009.99
Rooted or not: not
Frequency of Occurrence : always
APP Name & APP Version (If your issue relates to the app): Pokemon GO cloned in Twin Apps
========================================
Details :
1) I already have a Pokemon GO from Google Play installed
2) I go to Settings -> Advanced -> Twin Apps -> Supported apps on this device -> Pokemon GO -> click the toggle button ON
3) A pop up saying that I should register a google account for this duplicated apps
4) I click on the three dot menu on the top right corner -> Accounts for duplicated apps -> Add Google account
5) Then I input the same primary google account I use on the main OS, and also one more another secondary account
6) I open the duplicated Pokemon GO (indicated by a double rectangle yellow on the bottom left of the app icon on the drawer)
7) I log in to the Pokemon GO with my primary google account. Everything is almost perfect, but there's a problem
8) There's a feature in Pokemon GO called Adventure Sync. In short, it helped player to complete a distance-walking-related-task, such as hatching eggs and etc
9) I've walked for 13 km, my Google Fit account says so (indicated by the displayed information), but, the Adventure Sync feature in duplicated Pokemon GO says the opposite, all my walking distance is not counted
10) I did a cross check with the original Pokemon GO app in the main OS. I walked several km more, and it's counted
11) I've checked the permission tab on the cloned Pokemon GO's app info, first it shows blank, but when I clicked it, all needed permissions are allowed. I cross check one of the feature, Camera, and it indeed works, the cloned Pokemon GO can access Camera
12) I re-check the Twin Apps menu on the Settings -> Accounts for duplicated apps -> click either my primary / secondary google account -> Sync data. Here I only found sync Contacts option
13) End of explanation. My biggest question :
a) How does Twin Apps in ROG Phone 3 works?
b) How do I get my cloned Pokemon Go's Adventure Sync feature to correctly get my walking distance registered in my google account?

Live captions inject text into servece with real time translation

Some time ago Google released very powerful 'Live captions' app for pixel devices.
For those who do not know it yet, short video:
I finally run it on my nonPixel device but I just missed the option to translate text in real time something that gives us AllTrans module. But unfortunately it is not able to detect the application and replace the text probably because it works as a service .
transcription and translation of text in real time in different languages using different engines (deepl, Microsoft Google) would be so awesome.
Is this possible to do it with the service? Could someone try port it to Alltrans ? Or some suggestions ?
AllTrans source: https://github.com/akhilkedia/AllTrans
Quick guide how to run it on nonPixel (xiaomi and10 lineageos in my case)
-Install hideProps+ Live Captions nonPixel v1 by MishaalRahman found in Google
-reboot -> in terminal su > props > then apply pixel one (pixel 3 XL in my case)
Clear play services & play store data then reboot
-After that you should see update for personalisation services in market my apps and install it (if not want for while to rebuild Pstore database or link market manually (via TB)
Add microphone perm and enable it from settings > sound > live captions

How To Guide Configuring WhatsApp to use Drive backup, without native gms. (Honor / Huawei)

Hi guys, after losing 6 months plus of WhatsApp data, and trying to recover it, I've found a way to conduct automatic/manual WhatsApp backup to google drive even if u don't have native gms on my Honor Magic 3 Pro.
Specs-
Device- Honor Magic 3 Pro
OS- Magic UI 7.0, no native gms
WhatsApp - Native, original version installed from Play/ Aurora store or WhatsApp official site.
Let me be clear about it, this method uses a gms sandbox app to achieve this, but doesn't actually run WhatsApp on the sandbox app, instead just uses the sandbox app gms to do drive backup and is something I found while experimenting. It's just extremely hassle free and completely do once and forget method.
There are two methods to achieve this, Method 1 is what I personally use.
METHOD 1
Advantage - Completely hassle free, do once, configure and forget method.
Once done using this method, can be repeated with any sandbox app of your choice. However repeating in future will be difficult. And will have extra steps. And will not be able to migrate to method 2 hassle free.
Disadvantage - Some WhatsApp features are limited, like payments won't work, and adding a status update is a bit of a long shot, but viewing status is not an issue.
METHOD 2
Advantage - No above disadvantages.
Disadvantage - Need to request a WhatsApp verification code every time you want to backup.
Can only be done with gbox sandbox and not any other sandbox app.
LINKS FOR DOWNLOAD -
1. Gbox
2. WhatsApp (gbox version)
3. Google Drive (gbox version)
4. WhatsApp Original Verion (clock on package installer, not Google play.
NOW ON TO THE ACTUAL METHOD...
INITIALIZATION - common for both methods
1. Go to GboxLabs official site.
2. Download Gbox.
3. Now on the website, click on the side burger menu (three parallel lines at top right corner)
4. Go to apps availability,
5. Scroll to the bottom and download WhatsApp.
6. Download and install google drive from the same page
6. Open Gbox, and give required permissions.
7. Login to Huawei ID.
8. Minimize Gox, go to device settings and give all permissions.
9. Go to app launch in settings and change to manage manually and switch on all three options.
10. Now launch WhatsApp, the one you installed from GboxLabs
11. Minimize it and go to device settings and give all permissions, also repeat the same as gbox on App launch.
12. Open google drive gbox version, add google account and go to settings and give permissions.
METHOD 2
13. Now open WhatsApp again (gbox version).
14. Verify your mobile number.
15. Conduct restores, skip drive restore and conduct local restore
16. Now you can conduct Google backups.
17. Wait wait , that's not the end.
18. Wait for google backup to end.
19. open original WhatsApp.
20. Verify your number.
21. Done you can now have native whatsapp with google drive backup.
22. every time you want to backup, just repeat from steps 12.
METHOD 1
13. Open WhatsApp gbox version
14. Verify your number
15. Conduct restores when prompted to, skip drive restore and only do local restore.
16. Conduct g drive backup,
17. wait for backup to complete.
18. Now uninstall WhatsApp (real one)
19. ⚠ ⚠ ⚠ while uninstalling, uncheck the Delete app data option.
20. Reinstall WhatsApp from WhatsApp website.
21. Open real WhatsApp,
22. Click agree and continue, do not click enter number.
23. Click on three dots on the top right corner.
24. Click on link to existing number.
25. You will get a QR code.
26. Click a picture of the QR code with another device.
27. Open WhatsApp (gbox version)
28. Click on settings and go to linked devices.
29. Click on add device.
30. If gbox crashes, remove your device screen lock and try again (it's a bug, I've contacted gbox support, they are working to fix it.
31. try again.
32. Scan the QR code you clicked on another phone.
33. Voila done.
34. Now you can normally use native WhatsApp with all function and gbox will do the backup for you.
NOTE : METHOD 1 CAN BE USED WITH ANY SANDBOX APP OF YOUR CHOICE, AFTER COMOLETEING THE INITIALIZATION STEPS AS MENTIONED ABOVE.
FINISHING UP -
1. Disable notifications on the gbox version of WhatsApp.
BACKGROUND INFO-
Both Gbox version of WhatsApp and real WhatsApp uses the same location to store app data.
so, data is interchangeable between both apps.
SOLVINGS ISSUES-
1. ⚠ ⚠ ⚠ Do not install WhatsApp from gbox app play store.
2. Install only from Gbox labs app availability.
once done you can update from play store, no issue.
3. If there's issue with not able to link existing WhatsApp, or option not shown, uninstall WhatsApp as in method 1 above. And install from link I've connected above.
