yup, i would have to violently shake my phone to get them to work usually. eh they're ok live wallpapers lose their appeal after awhile. The mario one is still the best hands down.

No doubt about that mario is still the best. Wish they would come out with a sonic one

Here's a cleaned up R2D2 bootup animation. I removed the "droid" part of it for those of us without droids. Tested and works perfect on my N1 and a friend's Hero.

as far as I know, it should work on just about anything. You can leave the original bootloader where it's at and just change the extension on it. Then copy this one to it (make sure the name is correct). You can always delete it if it doesn't work or you don't like it. After the novelty wore off, I went back to the stock Nexus One boot.
As a joke I'd love to get the DROID sound byte from the Droid X phone. Can anyone grab those sounds off the Droid X?
Thanks! I did search but didn't see any specific thread talking about that.
Just updated launcherpro. It is finally up to par on the nexus s! Works so great for me now.

Oh I know I was just looking at the screen transitions though and thinking about ADW that's all
Other than the new transitions, can any of you who are using comment if it's smooth and fast on the nexus s? I had it previously and it actually slowed down the phone rather than making it faster/smoother like it did on my nexus one.
Just waiting to reinstall it. Thanks guys!

Quit waiting and install. It really is smooth as can be now. Haven't seen a single stutter.
Before the update it was so herky jerky for me that I switched to adw. Its great to be back. And the 3d launcher seems to be fixed as well.

Worked smoothly before the update and just as smooth after.
the 3d app drawer option still doesn't work for me. very glitchy/lots of stutter when scrolling with it. otherwise very smooth in all other areas. now staying with LP from adw ex.
I've just downloaded it for my nexus s.
On the one hand the home transitions are perfectly smooth and I really like the visual effects.
On the other hand the app drawer scrolling got worse, it's laggy, that nice visual effect where I could see the previous and the next app icons is lost and the orange effect that showed me when I reached the end of the list is half-ruined (only the lower effect doesn't work like before, the upper one is fine)
Not really satisfied, I'm hoping in a new update.
Edit: first issue solved: the glow effect when you reach the end of the list is now perfectly working after i disabled the "home icon in app drawer" option.

I am not sure why people keep saying they are seeing lag. I am seeing ZERO lag on home screen scrolling and none in the app drawer either.

I've never seen a spec of lag with LP on any phone except my MT3G which was a piece of feces.
I get lag when using pinch-zoom to view my 7 home screens. I disabled the 3D app drawer bc it's still buggy. Other than that I love LP and its new transition effects!
LP still stutters when scrolling through the appdrawer ... I use livewallpapers and adwex is glass smooth when scrolling through the appdrawer ... I'm keeping adwex.

That's your prerogative but I've honestly never seen that once. Not on my Epic, not on my Evo, not on my wife's Evo Shift, and definitely not on either of our Nexus S' which leads me to believe there is something else at fault and not LP. Heck, I never even saw it before I donated and upgraded to LPPlus. Hope you enjoy ADW Ex!

I can go on with a list if phones I've had LP installed on and never had a problem. I gladly donated and don't regret it (don't get me wrong I love LP) ... The very very very first app I installed when I got my NS out the box was LP ... I noticed right away that scrolling through the appdrawer with a livewallpaper was kinda choppy. Countless roms later and this update ... its still the same ... I'm just thinking it's a 2.3 thing.

I hope you didn't take my tone to be rude, I was merely stating that I've never (again the MT3G but it was a slow phone period) had any issues so the arising of issues for people seems to baffle me. Also, I was implying that in a lot of cases issues can be related to user-related problems (IE if you have a lot of apps, your app drawer has to populate a huge list and might show some lag, or having a lot of badly written widgets might cause some stuttering on homescreens, etc).
Any way to get these?
Its in MIUI

You can try beautiful widgets to try and replace the HTC clock.
I am a noob with ROMs. I unlocked my phone with...
[TOOL] HTC Vivid All-In-One Toolkit V2.2 [6-7-2012] [PERM ROOT] [Noob-Proof]
Is there a ROM that is pure Ice Cream Sandwich with the proper drivers for the HTC Vivid? Is there one similar to the first question but keeps HTC Sense?
I think the closest you'll get is by Wajee: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1582670
I'm running it now and love it. Very stable, very clean.
I saw that one, but I hate trying ones without screenshots. I might go ahead and bite on it though.
You might also want to try Virtuous Inquisition. I am currently trying it out and so far have no issues.

Virtuous Inquisition v4.0.2.1 is what I am running now. IMO, it is the best ROM for the Vivid currently available. I do wish though it had the clock/weather widgets and would fix the signal strength bars perhaps also increasing them to 5 or 6 bars instead of 4.

I was actually using the other one that has the weather to the right of the clock to save screen space. I might go ahead and try the one you linked to but damn that thing is BIG.
Does anyone know how to get rid of the Google Search bar on the top of all the home screens in Virtuous Inquisition v4.0.2.1 without uninstalling Google Search? It doesn't appear to be able to be dragged to remove.

Virtuous Inquisition v4.0.2.1 "might". It has what appear to be Arabic-looking characters during the first boot setup.

Maybe, lol. The HTC Vivid is one of AT&T's first 4G LTE phones and was recently released so the chances of it getting upgraded to a newer Android OS is pretty good IMO.
