Just wanted to know how to disable the system write protection in 4.4.2 stock rom.
Do I need to flash any other kernel than the stock? If yes then which kernel?
My phone is running stock 4.4.2 rom, rooted, has twrp recovery

Can anyone tell me how to remove custom gingerbread Rom (Build Number: MicroMod v.20) and install the factory Rom? I'd greatly appreciate your help
Hey
You can return to stock using the PASSIMG.zip method (http://forum.xda-developers.com/wik...des_&_Tutorials#Unroot_.2F_Restore_your_Nexus), but that will remove root. If you want to preserve root then just download a prerooted stock Froyo/gingerbread rom and flash it after wiping your data through your custom recovery, though be sure to backup your data via titanium before you do so.
Help Me , I Want CWM for 4.4 based rom.
Is your bootloader unlocked? Are you rooted? You have a custom recovery installed?

I want to install one of the new lollipop ROM's so i need a kernel that has a recovery mod to flash the ROM
the one i found is Doomlord's kernel [.230], but as i know [.230] doesn't work with 4.4.4, if it's just used to get the recovery into the device and be able to flash a ROM, what would be the next step after installing the ROM?
should flash a newer kernel? or it is automatically installed [integrated] in the ROM's zip file?
thnx
The new kernel is integrated in the zip file and will replace the current one when you flash the rom. You will also get the recovery that comes with it.
