I have an unlocked HTC One. It had an OTA update this morning. It got stuck at 100% progress during the update, then finally rebooted. The progress bar got about half way through, then it changed from a green circle to a red triangle with an exlamation mark and just stopped.
I've tried rebooting and now it just gets to the "HTC - Quietly brilliant" white screen and doesn't go any further.
Help please! My wife is 39 weeks pregnant and I work 100 miles from home.
It should be the same like this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2710360
And for a stock OTA, phone should be unrootet, locked and on stock recovery!!!!!!!!!

Your Phone is not bricked, its just in a bootloop.
Have you installed TWRP as recovery tool? Have you make a backup before?
"fastboot erase cache" can help (google this words to find a guide. have not much time, sorry ) or you need to recover your backup or you install the os as new system.

Alright, 2nd time soft bricking, this time a different way. I think I'm done messing around - if anyone could help me get back to stock I would appreciate that.
I ended up rooting with odin, then got a status 7 error when installing this rom. After (attemping) to reboot, Samsung logo pops up, then t-mobile android logo, the blue bar loads, then nothing. Stuck.
I can still get back into CWM, I have no backups. Where can I download the stock rom? If I could get this working I would be thrilled.

Ok I got a replacement HTC ONE today. Unlocked the bootloader, used revone for s-off. All good.
TWRP recovery opens and runs fine.
Backed Up stock rom.
Wiped and Flashed both ViperRom and Android Revolution HD 30.0. Neither boot.
tried flashing the corresponding boot.img files for both, CMD says pushed OK. But still neither will boot.
I am stumped. Restore from recovery to stock rom backup works fine.
Any ideas? Needs some advice
OK i tried restoring from twrp back up and now when it boots its goes to a black screen with a status bar at the top. Shows the little android symbol for debugging. then on the other side battery, clock, signal bars that have a X for no signal. Cant do anything. Sits there for a few minutes then reboots.

hi,
I have the htc one 807n with the original rom.
Today i received a message says there are an available update, and i updated it.
The download edn's, the device reboot itself and start installing when a red triangle appears on screen.
Since then my device is stuck on the loading screen (The "htc quietly brilliant" screen)
tried to do a factory restart \ recovery from the bootloader but it always returns to the same screen and
doesn't load up.
I will appreciate any help before taking it to a lab.
Please?

Anyone?
Hi all. I have Honor 3c international version with official Kit-Kat rom. I factory reset it using TWRP v 2.8.6.0 and after rebooting, phone showed my huawei logo and then after some time the screen went black. Almost 10 minutes later a white box appeared showing that it is upgrading and the files are being optimized but the phone got stuck on "Finishing Boot". Then the screen went black again. Phone didn't vibrate or reboot during all this. Its been happening since yesterday and i can't get past this black screen. Help please.
Flash stock rom via spft
I had TWRP already and flashed the V8.5 ROM from https://forum.xda-developers.com/r1-hd/development/modified-8-3-stock-rom-t3602672. Appeared to be successful since it gave no errors but now the device has been stuck on the splash screen for over 45 mins now. When I try to boot into recovery, it just displays the android on its back with a red exclamation symbol. Is there a way to fix/revert this?
update: did factory reset, i think it removed my bootloader though. guessing it's not possible get that back?
update2: never mind, managed to get twrp again
