The rom file you are using might be corrupted. Can you redownload it again? What recovery mod are you using?

I'm trying to install Overcome ROM on Galaxy Tab. I get the same error. When I boor in recovery.. I don't have that option to disable the signature thing.
Please help.
This is because you guys are in 3e Recovery. A new Recovery Mod where it only allow Signed Zip files.
Get back 2e Recovery. There are a lot of ways to do this. Search around the forum.

Okay This is what I found.....
Flashing Recovery via the Rom manager app brings up 3E recovery. using the 3-button method brings up the 2E recovery that is part of my speedmod kernel......
Hope this helps other noobs like me having the same trouble.
I'm getting the same problem... any chance you could post how you solved it?

ClockWorkMod Menu problem look in My Android Solutions
[26] Problem:- ClockworkMod Recovery giving Status 0 error "Installation aborted".
Quote:
Solution:- Most likely you have a incompatible CWM, or your Zip files are corrupted or you have mounted /system or /data
what was your original ROM, if gingerbread, you cannot use semaphore JBean CWM but have to use Gingerbread CWM to flash ICS first than Jelly Bean later.
Check this out! You , YES! you are an " Android ". Not your phone but U.

Semaphore 3.0 is for stock JB roms and there is no such for i9000. Besides, semaphore uses its own recovery that is only CWM based, it isn't CWM.
Which firmware do you have? For Gingerbread you should have flashed Semaphore 2.7.4
The 100% working solution!!!!!
Re-Flash official Samsung ROM and its CF_root. Then install the ROM and everything will work awesome.
Make sure you are installing the ROM made for your i9000t and not for i9000

There are no 100% working solutions.
How will you feel if somebody reports you some day that such advice has ruined his/her device?

Cn Anybody Help me Plz ?!
What error did it gave?
There are some errors that show up when installing. Perhaps you can share them here to determine extra informatie.
existenz_ultra_1.3.7 ITS NOT A ROM, JUST AN UPDATE.
To flash the update you need to flash the base ROM first and reinstall the recovery if you are on a locked bootloader, then you can flash the update.

Red triangle in recovery GT-N7000

hi,
when i go into recovery I become the dead android with red triangle, and I cant install any custom rom because of : warning No file_contextsset_metadata_recursive: some changes failed (Status 7)
but I can install stock Rom via odin, but also when I go into recovery I had there red triangle, then flashed Fhilz kernel it works, but the error above
Please help me !
No need to worry of the dead bot. And you cannot flash anything using the stock recovery..
and how to install custom rom when I become Status 7?
The first step is make sure you install PhilZ kernel sucessfully. Then bootbinto PhilZ touch recovery. From there you can install a custom rom.
Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk 2
I had install Philz for XXLT5 via odin, boot into recovery and try to flash 4.4.2 rom and became error to CarbonRom : set_metadata_recursive (Status 7 )
to OmniROM: warning No file_contextsset_metadata_recursive: some changes failed (Status 7)
From Philz you need to install raw kernel, then install 4.4.2.

Look for raw kernel and flash the appropriate version, then reboot into recovery to install Slim

Hi I am having a similar problem and I apologise as I dont understand what 'raw kernel' you are refering to. I check my phone and it says "PDA: N7000XXLT5". I think this is what you mean?
So I think I probably I flashed the wrong Philz Touch CWM onto my XXLT5. According to the Philz TOuch post, XXLT5 is suppose to use version 5.03.0 but I didnt read this info and installed 5.15.0.
Please advise. thank you!

Read up more on the sticky threads to get a better view of what you're getting into.
1. what are kernels/recoveries and how to install them
2. what problems are there to take note of that you might encounter and how to resolve
3. always do a backup of everything they ask you to
4. prepare a stock rom to fall back on to flash just in case
