Run ART in dev options. It should help with app performance and battery life. But read the following thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/goo...dicated-runtime-thread-art-vs-dalvik-t2516646

ART all day personally. Living in the future

Difficult to tell if it's just placebo or not, as I have to done an extensive test between the two, but Yea.... Minute, but definitely seems to be a little bit better. Just long as you don't wipe cache/dalvik lol. That takes forever and is a battery drainer for sure doing all the compiling of apps again ahead of time.

Changing to ART in ViperRom made it so i can no longer boot the phone. Can I fix this without doing a full wipe and Rom reflash?

You can't use ART on a ROM that has been deodexed. Boot into recovery, adb pull /system/build.prop and change the line persist.sys.dalvik.vm.lib=libart.so back to persist.sys.dalvik.vm.lib=libdvm.so.
Adb push build.prop /system, adb shell chmod 644 /system/build.prop, then reboot. Hopefully that'll get you booting again.
If that doesn't work, you'll have to reflash the ROM.

Tried the odex from device script, and everything odexed except system/app and priv+app.... Working on figuring out how to have my cake and eat it too! Haha

They would have to be recompiled. I don't believe the tools we have currently will create ART-compatible odex files.

I'm s-off on stock rooted. ART works, and so does Xposed. Running the pre alpha of Sense 6 Toolbox and I have 95% of the mods I want without flashing a ROM or breaking ART. [emoji106]
Edit: I'm not so sure ART stuck. LOL

For those of you running ART, what are your thoughts so far? I switched over to ART 2 days ago. No huge differences that I can tell. Battery seems to be about the same.

So I tried running aosp9.9.2 with the decafuct 768mhz kernal. Works amazingly. Thanks for the help man!

Nfinite's .2 stk rom,Decad3nce's Decafuct #589kernal 691mhz(you can use his 768 kernel) to get it to 768 you have to use his battery tweak,oc widget,or set cpu, latest radio .29 I believe.I strip all sprint bloat out,a2sd is enabled and set to zip-align apps on boot. I think thats it if I come up with more will edit this post.
Huge breakthrough. I'm running cm6.1 right now and using overclock widget and I figured out the fix for this is the cpu frequency update interval setting. If set for a long period of time, it doesn't seen to skip as much!

i had this same problem when i switched to CM6.1 BlackMod it was really embarrassing when i had it hooked up to the Speakers at work and it kept skipping and a coworker had to plug up his VZW Droid.
quick fix was changing setCPU to Performance and not onDemand. i see you have your problem fixed just thought this would help anyone in the future.

[Tweak] Universal adrenaline shot

Going to try this on the D3, its big in the fascinate world. May be worth a dev porting to the D3 specifically. I'm going to take the plunge though since we can do nandbackups.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1236779
From the thread post:
Whats inside:
changed partition mounts--- for less data corruption
patched sqlite's----IMPROVES I/O
honecomb 3.1 fugu mod-IMPROVES SCROLLING/RESPONSIVENESS
All new init.d files---PARTITION MOUNTS,CACHE,SYSCTL,KERNEL
Sysctl.conf----TWEAKS KERNEL AND I/O SCHEDULER
tweaked scaling governor----faster cpu performance
It has been reported to work on the Motorola Atrix, so that gives me hope for some additional improvements on the D3.

I looked throught the zip. It contains some files that the D3 doesnt have (or are in a different location). So some of the changes will probably do nothing.

Did you do anything with the sysctl.conf and init.d?
Sorry for the delays... yes, as stated above, the zip files will not flash to the D3 (even though they do flash to the Moto Atrix??).
But you can definitely rip out files push them with Root Explorer or ADB commands. I haven't had time to mess with that but I may jump on it later today. Glad someone else tried and showed positive signs. That is encouraging.
I applied manually.
Don't notice any difference, really. But it may respond better to my finger. I'll have to run it for a few days.

I snatched the files from the latest SteelDroid to enable init.d. However I also used the scripts from that rom as well as they include alot the same tweaks.
I discovered that the sysctl.conf tweaks have no affect. We dont seem to have access to those adjustments. Perhaps because of our stock kernel?
for you, if you have a stock kernel to enable init.d .....

[KERNEL] Stock w/init.d support (stable, Great battery)

I'm out of testing phase but decided to keep this up. This is just a stock kernel with a modified ramdisk to allow the use of scripts in a init.d folder. Its nothing special other than that. Ill start digging into getting an OC kernel going now.
This will work with any Thrill rom. The only exception is on Thrill Seeker you must go into /system/etc/init.d and delete the file called "999switch"
While anything is possible, this kernel will NOT brick your phone. It fully boots and, as far as I can tell, runs fine. Ive also included the stock kernel in a flashable zip. You flash them the same way you would flash a rom. NO wiping of anything is needed.

Have you tested it on any GB roms? If not i'm thinking of trying it out, do you think there's any risk of breaking my phone if I do or is a bootloop the worst case scenario?

I don't know if you were planning on doing another Thrill Seeker update rom or not. But if you do, can you throw this in the ROM?
And I don't suppose you could ask tekahuna if you can throw his OC kernal in the updated Thrill Seeker ROM if you do an update.

Look at the int.d files they may be over writing your settings at boot.
Vibrant 360° Productions
It would be more beneficial if you posted ICZ bugs in the forum where I actually host the rom, we have a ton of great minds over there that are more than willing to help.
That being said, what are you using to set the CPU values? If using the AOKP controls, yeah, they won't hold. Use NSTools, free from the market, and your values should stick.

Download Trickster Mod app from play Store.
Using your favorite cpu tuner (mines setcpu but you can use something like antutu just search play store for cpu) set max to 1600 and min to 360 than put a screen off profile at 360 and 240 (values are approximate). Once done DO NOT check "set on boot" as incompatible setting can put you in a boot loop.
