So my only opion is to try and over the air update, which the website states go to: Settings > About phone > Software updates > System updates, however 'Software updates' isn't listed anywhere.. anyone know why
thanks

[Q] Nokia Lumia 920 ROM change

Hello!
I just bought Nokia Lumia 920 which has Netherlands Vodafone firmware.
I want to install Baltics Stock Firmware.
But after I do that (with Nokia Care Suite) will I be able to get further updates OTA? Because I have heard if the product code (which will remain from Netherlands) and actual firmware (Baltics) differs you can't get updates OTA.
So is there any way to change my ROM to another country Stock Firmware and still get further updates OTA?

The OTA updates are related to the ROM, not the hard Product Code ("physical").
Ok, thanks.
Sadly I have one problem now, while trying to download stock firmware.
Whan I open Data Package Manager it just says "Logging into remote server". And that's all.

[Q] Pending Update??

Hello all,
I am not sure whats up with my turbo, I updated a while back now with the OTA that enabled VOLTE , since then my phone says I have a software update. When i click on the update available it checks then tells me my software is up to date?
Has anyone else had this happen to them?
I attached a screenshot of the info I see.

OEM Toggle is shown but can't be toggled; phone unable to go into download mode.

Hello XDA, I hope that you could help me troubleshoot my Note 8 (N950F).
So it's been 7 days and oem unlock toggle has finally appeared.. The only issue is it is greyed out and unselectable.
When I got this device I wasn't able to see developer options by pressing build number (though I got the notification that it was enabled), I was only able to access the setting by downloading an app short cut for it via the play store and on initial launch it said developer options are disabled. But then second launch it worked. Idk if this is significant but maybe the country this is meant for disabled it? Regardless of the sim card being in/out the phone, it is still greyed out. Also, I was able to factory reset the phone through the settings after downloading an OTA (I did this in hopes of developer options being enabled about a week ago.)
I tried to boot into download mode but it seems I can't boot into it (following the steps only lead to a normal reboot, and when I select that option from the stock recovery or through adb, it only boots the phone up normally. I purchased the phone off of swappa, in brand new/like new condition. Any ideas? Thank you for your help.
Edit: added screenshots.

Exactly. That's why I'm so concerned.
Have you logout your Samsung Account and Google account?sorry for my poor English.:crying:
Do you use any of the KNOX stuff? Did you do any factory reset?
Can you "clear data" on "settings" app? this would make the "developer option" menu hidden again. Then re-show it by tapping build number numerous time again. Hoping that OEM is now editable.
Hi, could you solve this problem? My Note 8 has the same problem and I have not found any solution :llorando:.
I would appreciate it if you can help me.

Thanks for your suggestion.
I have done it, however the problem used to show up. When I connect huawei hiSuite and check the update through computer, it shows "you have installed latest official version". But in my phone setting, it shows there is update!
I don't know why.

Since firmware finder app uses a proxy to bring in that update to the system update app that is why you only get the update in the system app. The HiSuite program on your computer doesn't have that proxy so that's why it doesn't show the latest update.
If you want to install C636B396. First make sure, you have the exact same firmware as your model (EVA-L19/09/29). and check with IMEI number if it's approved. If it is try to use the FULL-OTA file. And once your download starts, stop using the proxy (revert the wifi settings to default)

What can I do?

Yesterday (2nd febr) suddenly a message popped out saying I have an update. I tapped on it, the phone (P20 Pro) downloaded it all, it got installed but then this screen appeared:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X2IiN-auezM
eRecovery "Update & System Recovery" is not working since its a device from Italia and I am in Hungary.
Bootloader locked. No root.
Any ideas? How can I make it good again?
Also, at the service center they told me I might need to replace the motherboard. Is it seriously possible I need to replace it? (I hope it is not necessary...)
If they replace it for free, backup your data and go for it.
If not, then use the modded hisuite and firmware finder update method that you can find on the forums here.
Thank you. Could you link it?
I tried FF, since my phone won't get over eRecovery, I only tried it with desktop.
The DNS in the router has been set correctly, but my phone just don't connect to it.
I had the same, mine died and had to be replaced
Thank you! I guess I will just sell it, and get a Xiaomi.
Did you claim the code to unlock when was available?. If you do.. just enter to bootloader mode.. unlock... and flash stock recovery. I can help you with that. If you don't... huawei services is the way to go.
Nope, I have the phone since Nov 2019 from a second-hand seller.
Huawei Services only replaces the motherboard for around 90.000 HUF ( around 273 €) what is simply don't worth it.

AFAIK eRecovery doesn't care about your current region. It will just try downloading the ROM for the region installed on your phone.
Did you get any error messages trying to use it?

I know it sounds unrelated and stupid, but can you try and disable IPv6 on your router? I recall some issues with it regarding manual updates by eRecovery. Can be completely unrelated, but worth trying.
It is completely dead. Thanks for help!
