I was just wondering if any or all custom roms built for the Moto X use the cpu cores that touchless control and active notifications use, or are these cores not usable for anything other than those features?
One thread is sufficient for this question thanks... Your duplicate thread has been deleted.

Note: Yes. I had searched through all the sub-forums and threads in the Moto X section before making this post.
Does anyone know of a way to change the mDNIe scenario to more natural colors? On my Note II before I had the Moto X, I could change it via Samsung's built in settings so that the colors are more natural and not this bright neon that all AMOLED displays seem to come with by default.
I realize the option may be available in CyanogenMod but I would like to stick with stock as with CyanogenMod, it is currently still unstable and I will lose features that I use such as Touchless Control and Active Display.
I saw the Faux123 Kernel Enhancement Pro app in the Play store. It says that both the Moto G and X are officially supported but I haven't found a Faux kernel for the Moto x. Can I just use this tool with the stock kernel and install it like any other app?
The bright neon colors are always looking out of place and are especially jarring when switching from my Nexus 7 or PC monitor. Please do not say that it cannot be changed because I have had the Note II in the past (as I mentioned above) and the colors could be toned down, so the technology for AMOLED displays is there.
Any help on this issue would be appreciated, even if it is just confirming that I can buy and use the Kernel Enhancement Pro app to change this.
Thread title.
It would be absurd not to include them as this phone can clearly run Active Not. But maybe theyre not adding them so people who want this feature pay $300 more for the Moto X.
I believe Active Display requires an AMOLED type Display which is only found on the old and new Moto X. The Display technology of the Moto G, which is an IPS LCD, function differently and afaik just isnt capable of this feature.
No, even if it does have AMOLED Motorola won't allow it, since it's reserved for the X. But they did update the Assist app to show more features to the G. You can download the third-party Active Display app called AcDisplay.
And you can use Light Flow to control the LED.
Can someone tell me or direct me to what active notification/moto display is?

Just search for Moto X Active Display on YouTube, it is now renamed to Moto Display.
I miss moto display so much. Has anyone been able to port out the motorola active display app for other phones? Anyway to replace the google ambient display with motorola?
Ive tried Notific, acdisplay, dynamic notifications, glimpse and they're all buggy and none of them work as well as moto display.
Is there any alternative apps out there? Any roms with moto display support?
I heard resurrection remix has moto permissions to download the moto apps (http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...73&postcount=2) Do all remix's have this?
Thanks
Rico

Set up Quark Ambient Display correctly. It's been discussed many, many times.
RR ROM is based on CM, and the CM Quark dev coded our Ambient Display to use the IR sensors just like Moto Display. It is a lockscreen notification system, so your display will need to be LOCKED when the display is turned off/asleep for Ambient Display to show you any notifications.
Once you enable the Ambient Display, you also have to configure WHAT the Ambient Display does. Some people don't want it to show notifications when you wave your hand, some do. So, you can enable various actions of your choice.
Here's a link WITH SCREENSHOTS from earlier in this month when we discussed it thoroughly :

QUARK AMBIENT DISPLAY SETTINGS

And even those screenshots are just copied and pasted from when we discussed it again months ago.
Also, you could have asked in the RR ROM thread as everyone there uses the ROM for Droid Turbo/Moto Maxx/Moto Turbo, but not everyone here uses custom CM-based ROMs and may not know the settings.

You are welcome!
I want to upgrade my Moto X 2014 to android N but without losing his functions, and with an AOSP rom (can be CM based too)
We should stick a post on this matter, because people are either unable to read or too lazy to search.
There's basically four Moto features:
TWIST TO CAMERA: working in all ROMs (however, Moto Camera doesn't work with DPI other than 480)
CHOP TO TORCH: working in all ROMs
MOTO VOICE: NOT available, it's closed source so we have to manually tweak Google Now/Assistant to recognize our voice from a LOCKED, UNPLUGGED phone (see XDA homepage for a guide on this)
MOTO DISPLAY: NOT available, there's a modified Ambient Display that uses the same sensors (including IR, of course) and it works pretty well.
However, Moto and Ambient are NOT the same thing: Moto is a dedicated app which shows your notifications in a streamlined way and it will keep them in the panel even if you swipe them out of sight; moreover, it will not wake your entire screen if you touch the black area outside the clock/notifications.
Ambient Display, on the other hand, is simply a grayscale lockscreen. It's not nearly as practical as Moto, but the sensors to activate it are the same.
Can someone please make this post a sticky so people do not ask the same questions a hundred more times?
