Hi, every time I try removing apps via gear manager an error stating "Unfortunately, Gear Manager has stopped" I don't even get as far as selecting which ones to delete. I can literally click my apps, click the Bin symbol and it crashes and restarts gear manager
Has anyone else had this issue or know how to resolve it

Same problem here. Everything was fine until I ran the root gear 2. Was still able to get into 'My Apps' until I rebooted my phone (note 3, effortless custom ROM).
So far, I have uninstalled, reinstalled gear manager, re-paired gear 2 bluetooth, factory reset g2, etc.
Still no access. Still looking into it. Let me know if you figure something out..

No problem, sorry to hear you're having the same problem, mine occurred after putting a custom ROM on my phone, but then reverting back to stock, ever since, the only solution so far is to look to see if some of them can be removed under Application Manager which some can, but still leaves a lot of unused apps on my gear 2, which eventually will just fill up. Do you know if there's a way of looking through the files of the watch and simply deleting the .apk file and any other files that may be used? Thanks
reset

Reset what?
If you mean the actually reset the watch and phone then that doesn't work
If you mean factory reset then that may be the answer and thank you if it does work
However it would be nice to know the actual reason in the first place why this happened and not just a work around
Dear All,
I am new person in this forum. I bought a samsung gear live two months back with great expectation. After one month the step counter stop working .I called google play support then they send me a replacement yesterday. After one day , the step counter stopped working. i restarted the device. but still it is not working . Any suggestion how can i fixed it or any body else have the problem.
I am also sorry if i posted it in a wrong place
Thanks
neo
Try doing a factory reset and do not install any apps on it and monitor it. I had the same problem and it looks like one of the apps I installed was causing an issue.I did a factory reset, paired it again with my phone and it worked fine now.

Thanks buddy.. I powered down the watch and then started it works again. Restart does not work.. it seems the sensors are not stable or the different wear apps are not mature enough
Mine did this. It's my second watch as the first stopped responding to "ok google". I reset the watch, uninstalled and re-installed the software. Google is sending me watch number 3.
So I've had my R for a couple of months now, and it's been working fine, until after it was updated to 5.0.2. It stopped connecting to my Nexus 6, so I reset it. After that, the Android Wear app would never find it. I've wiped my phone, tried two other phones (Nexus 5 with Lollipop, Nexus 4 with KitKat) and nothing sees it. I haven't unlocked the bootloader or anything. It just sits at the "Install Android Wear on your phone" screen. Any ideas?

I'm having the same issue as you right now.. in the past when my watch is still rooted... I just need to clear the dalvik cache in recovery and it be fine... but now i restored to stock so I can't perform this.
any help?
I am having the exact same issue. And lately google play services and contacts and other things began randomly crashing ALOT on my verizon note 4. Nothing rooted all stock on phone and watch. Did our bluetooth radios die or is this a widespread problem with an update noone has documented yet? I need my watch lol. Any one else?

Did anyone figure out a solution to this? Is it the watch or the phone (i'm using an s6 edge)?
All i get is "install android wear on your phone" on my moto 360, and on the android wear app it doesn't find my watch. I literally cannot do anything on my watch but stare at the "install android wear on your phone" message. I only tried to reset my watch because it was connecting and disconnecting rapidly every 5-10 seconds for hours and was my last resort.
Anyone please help?!

I am having same problem as op, why would you not root again and wipe dalvik if that was working before, i have been trying to root so i can do this but i cant got stuck on twrp and would not boot to start up so i flashed everything back to normal and bluetooth will not show at all on any device...
I believe it has to do with the latest version of android wear. Ever since the last update a lot of people have been reporting the same and similar problems in the play store. A fix for me even though it is inconvenient is resitting the watch and re installing android wear. Every since the update I have to do that every couple of days.

what I do is first I unpair the watch from the phones bluetooth settings, then I uninstall android wear from the phone. Then I take the watch and I go under settings and reset the watch, once the watch is finished resetting I re-install android wear on the phone and re-pair.

ANSWER: after resetting your watch, you must unpair the watch from your phone, then go to settings/apps/android wear "clear data" . then start the whole pairing process again.

This is what happened to mine. I tried all the things mentioned in this thread, but finally the only thing that worked was a hard factory reset (swipe from top left to bottom right over the LG logo when booting) and then leaving the watch on charger for like 3 hours and finally my phone could see and connect to it. I've heard this worked for others too.

what version was it on b4 i was having the same problem on 5.0.2 but after manual update to 5.1.1 everything works good.
im on 5.1.1 .
i think my bluetooth is broken
useless watch
While playing around with getting TWRP installed on my Gear live things went South.
I can no longer get into any mode (fastboot, recovery, bootloader) except regular boot; using the "normal" method of hold-power-button and swipe diagonally once or twice. No matter how much I swipe, it will ONLY boot to regular system.
However, as soon as the boot finishes it asks for language and then hangs with message saying I have to "install android wear in your phone". Wear is already on my phone, but it will not pair with the watch.
I figure if I can't get into one of the modes mentioned above, there is no way to un-brick the watch. Hopefully, one of you will prove me wrong.
HELP???

Similar issue with Samsung Gear Live watch....
I had a similar issue...... My Gear Live kept doing to the same " install android wear in your phone" message...
I use a Galaxy S6 Edge + to pair it with, not that the type of phone probably matters.... I did several, and i mean several reboots / reinstalls / restarts/ factory resets/remove and reinstall android wear... . finally called Samsung tech and they said it wasn't fixable and i needed to buy a replacement.
I am sorry, and don't know how i got 'lucky', but a few days later, before i gave up totally on it.. it did an OTA update and asked if i wanted to install it !! after that it asked for another update, and another update and another update. Each time it brought the ' security patch level closer and closer to the current date ( it is finally up to sept. 5,2016 )
Android Wear on the watch is now 1.50.3287245
Play service is 9.8.77
Android OS is 6.0.1
and with these updates it now has wi-fi capability ( yes - Gear Live has wi-fi )
All this happened right when i was about to give up on it / Now it works perfectly , updates from my phone with new watch faces immediately , etc.
very very cool watch.
ps. I did also read several, and i mean several posts all over the internet about the Gear Live and its issues. ( sorry, i don't have all the links, but sure if you google you can find the same ones i went to ) I did turn on NFC ( near field Comm) on my phone, as well as bluetooth and wifi.
There is a youtube video that walks you through factory resetting it... I did so many resets and downloads and re downloads ( I was on a mission ! ) Now, finally works like it should and have had zero problems with it for the past several months !

Good Luck - just keep trying - sorry i don't have a 'real' solution.
ps. currently using the 'Black Classic' premium watch face - very customizable, lots of features and user friendly.
pss. I haven't posted to a forum in YEARS , but with all the frustration i went through I thought maybe my few tidbits might help you .. I truly had given up, when these updates started to come through -
Best wishes.

Thanks for you interest....... I've been trying numerous re-boots, factory resets and other things. I can't get the watch to pair with my phone; so OTA update is not going to happen..
Can't get into fastboot/recovery mode either. The only thing I CAN do is get into DOWNLOAD mode, but I don't have then correct firmware files in ODIN format.
Thanks

Currently have a G890A, AT&T, Android 6.0.1, Baseband: G890AUCS5CPK4
I've spent days of time trying to understand and fix repeated freezes/crashes, and am curious if you think my understanding of the problem is likely accurate and if the next steps make sense. Below are current issues, my previous solution attempts, best guess at the problem, and next steps to solve it. Thanks for taking the time to read this!
Issues:
- Starting at the Android 6.0 update, the phone began freezing intermittently when installing/updating certain apps.
- Freezing was unaffected by subsequent firmware updates
- Freezes happened before I could see which apps were starting to auto-update.
- During a freeze, the phone gets warm and drains the battery quickly. Power+down will reboot the phone, then it usually freezes again.
- After the first freeze, freezes and crashes would then continue on bootup, sometimes over 20+ reboots, usually while drawing "SAMSUNG" letters or soon thereafter
- Eventually whatever was installing/updating/uninstalling seems to take, and the phone finally stops rebooting.
- Disabling auto-updates prevents freezing
- After a factory reset it takes hours of rebooting, getting lucky enough to see the home screen, and for luck to hold long enough to open the play store before a freeze happens
- Freezing does not happen when updating every app. Installing/updating Google Inbox and Khan Academy both caused 20+ reboots/hangs. Trying to uninstall Khan Academy produced another 20+ until the uninstall finally seemed to take. I haven't tried to uninstall or update Inbox.
Current efforts to fix the problem:
- Safe mode: no improvement
- 3 factory resets: no improvement
- 3 factory resets + safe mode: no improvement
- Disabling auto-updates: effective, as long as I never install or update apps
- calling ATT: They said go to a Samsung rep at Best Buy
- talking with Best Buy Samsung rep (closest is an hour drive away): Best Buy says they can re-flash G890AUCS5CPK4, but my concern is that whatever got corrupted in an earlier update won't be fixed by re-flashing that version.
- calling Samsung: Samsung says they'd be happy to look at it if I send it to them a couple weeks. They also state that they'll send it back untouched if I try flashing it myself.
Best Guess About the Problem
Something got corrupted in Play Services during the 6.0 update; something that runs early in bootup and continues any in-progress installation/update processes.
Next Steps
- Determine on this thread whether it makes sense to reflash G890AUCS5CPK4 at Best Buy
- If so, take the phone to Best Buy for a reflash. If not, find a backup phone for a couple weeks and send the GS6 to Samsung
- Prefer not to try flashing it myself since I have no experience and don't want to brick it or remove the chance for Samsung to fix it as a backup plan.
Do the best guess and next steps make sense? I really like the s6 active. I've had it just over a year and want to keep it for a while. It's gone rafting, kayaking and hiking in all kinds of weather, and operated flawlessly in and out of water the entire time. Fantastic phone until this issue.
Thanks again!
Adam
How are you installing your apps? One by one from the play store, all at the same time from the play store, or by some other method (from an archive of some kind), which might be corrupt.

@anneoneamouse, Great question. Thanks for asking. I did a few of them via Samsung's Smart Switch, then uninstalled most of those. I didn't think about the APK's stored by Smart Switch being corrupted somehow. Trying reinstalls from the Play Store now.
And... it's been about 3 hours. A number of previously failing apps worked when installed from the Play Store. I was excited. Then I uninstalled Google Inbox and reinstalled it from the Play store, and the phone froze. Multiple reboots never got it past the loading screen after that. Eventually I did a factory reset. The phone still froze with only factory apps. No non-factory apps installed from any source. Four more factory resets later, no progress. It's probably time to send this critter to Samsung.
Have you tried booting into the recovery menu, and clearing all the cache areas? I'm not sure that a factory reset is equivalent to a complete wipe.
How are you uninstalling Google inbox?

Sorry for the slow reply. Just saw this. I did cache wipes followed by resets, which also log to the screen that they're doing a cache wipe. Uninstalling/reinstalling inbox stopped being an issue because I could never get far enough to install Inbox again from any source. As soon as I logged in with a google account during setup, the factory apps started updating and the hanging/crashing began. Sent it to Samsung.
Appreciate your help!
