Translucent navigation bar is gone - Moto X Q&A

So I was using my phone as usual and then I received a new spotlight video. After I received this video, my navigation bar become completely black, even in homescreen and lockscreen. I've tried to reboot my phone but still black. I've tried to change the color on gravity box, nothing. Tried to see if there is some setting in nova launcher that may have disabled but no luck. I even tried to uninstall nova launcher and see if in Stock launcher was black, but it was too. And now I can't get it translucent again.
Does anyone knows what happened to my phone?

I was setting wallpaper through google+'s photo app and it was causing it. If you set the wallpaper through gallery or through nova launcher it may fix this issue!

And what do i do if the translucent nav bar is gone while i'm at the lockscreen?

LG Home

so i know it seems a bit odd but i was messing around and decided to try out the LG home launcher and to my surprise it loaded without a hitch and honestly its super freaking smooth. no lag whats over going from screen to screen nor any lag loading and closing the app drawer. honestly it doesnt look half bad with the black bar mod. only complaint is i miss my launcher pro widgets but if you are looking for a light and clean/stock looking launcher may want to give it a try...
lg launcher
I downloaded it and i like it to. the only thing is when i first opened it it said it could not display some of the widgets other than that i really like it
yea saw those too, believe they are lg widgets not installed
mine also wont let me change the volume from silent to vibrate or anything it just keeps force closing
Screenshot?

[Q] How to enable softkeys in CM9 on e400?

does anyone know?
Screen is already small. Completely unnecessary. I'm sure you'll want to delete it again after succeeding.
Actually the screen is small, but I wanted to see how it looked
Install AOKP stable ROM their will the option to enable or disable the softkeys.... :good:
Thank you .. but I'm using the jellycast v4.0, and I did not want to migrate to another, I have a Nexus 4 and wanted to leave my e400 with his appearance
Put this at the end of your build.prop:
qemu.hw.mainkeys=0
And then, reboot

Good but unnecessary.
Yes, it is unnecessary, but I wanted to have my e400 to make him like my Nexus 4
I thought it would be smaller .. was huge, anyway thanks to all

[REQ] Rotation Lock small app

Hi,
I'd like to ask if anyone could develop a small app that locks the rotation of the phone and not just toggle auto-rotate on off but actually LOCK the device in it's current rotation.
ya just like apple rotation lock. Any widget app?

Ride it like you downhill it.
+1, I've been looking for one for ages now.
Something like this?
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.SagiL.orientationlocker
It's not a Small App, but it's very functional and nice to use
Swyped from my incredible Sony Xperia Z with Tapatalk 4
I have a solution, while this is not a native small app, in practice it functions as such.
https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B_fOjlIC2fbxUzRtUThhNU13QlU/edit?usp=sharing
Install the above apk and convert the widget to a small app. The icons have been modified to fit in with other small app icons.
FULL DISCLOSURE: This app was not made by me, it's freely available on the play store Rotation Locker and made available here with the permission of the developer madmack
The icons were made by sunbriel
All I changed were the icons.

[Q]Moto X Has Landscape Homescreen Somehow?

I set my Moto X on top of my iShower Bluetooth speaker one day, and the screen suddenly turned to landscape; lockscreen, homescreen, everything.
Whats up with this?
Is this like a driving mode or something? I would think that but there was no driving mode notification.
This happen to anybody else?
I've attached a picture of the screen while in landscape.
Stock AT&T Non-Dev Moto X on 4.4.

That is the alarm/desk mode. Play around with a magnet on the back and you can change modes. Chris

If you do want home screen rotation, Nova launcher provides that as an option.
