Change Touchless Control Language - Moto X Q&A

Is it possible to change it language? I have a brazilian moto x and i'd like to have touchless control in english, since it has more commands.

Can you go into settings in Google settings app for voice, or possibly accessibility and change the text to speech language?

I have tried to change through google app settings but no luck
I don't think accessibility will help either but I'll take a look!

The entire phone language may need to be English perhaps.

Try reading through the custom rom threads. I'm sure the answers are there.

CM is not going to have the motorola specific features.

If your looking to get CM like features just install the Xposed framework and download Gravitybox (assuming you're rooted)
If you have a vzw Dev edition look at eclipse ROM. Its stock based.

Please suggest a call recorder app for moto x or some other ways to record calls. I need to record few calls from a family members for a video I am creating for them. It cannot be google voice as it has to be international calls. Please advice.

If you are rooted there is an xposed module that should work for you.

I had that, but nothing happened. Do I have to do anything other than enable to module?

If it's needed for business.... Wouldn't the other person knowing they are being recorded be the proper way to go? Lol
Not letting them know would be unethical.
Personal calls too. There's laws for a reason.

Any update on this topic. Back on the incredible 2 it was a matter of the kernel

Here Call Recorder by skvalex is working on Moto X.
It is necessary to modify the settings of the Standard API inside de app.

yes working here also perfect. Sound is loud and clear.
Easy Voice Recorder Pro is working really well on my Moto X. It also has a Tasker plug-in, allowing me to automatically record all phone calls (don't care to do this, but I tested it, and it works perfectly).

Are you rooted? I've been using Easy Voice Recorder for a while and I can use it to record phone calls on my Moto X without root that would definitely push me into the paid version of the app.

I guess I skipped Default, thinking that default would have been the one originally selected and not working. Thanks

Well after trying "default" it's not much better, at least compared with my old Galaxy Exhibit which sounded like you were in the room with the person it was so clear. Maybe I`m just spoiled by that.
Here is what I`m getting by changing the Standard API audio source:
Voice call up/downlink are the same - zero length recordings.
Microphone - didn't even try it because I know from past experience the results, even at best case scenario, are not that good IMO
Default - hear myself great but the other person sounds baffled like "Microphone" above.
Voice Communication - hear myself great but other person is garbled static.
So yes Default is the best yet and at least workable, but still unsatisfying. Maybe that's as good as it gets on the Moto X but I`ll see if the Dev will at least look into it.

Yes, I'm rooted, but I'm not sure it matters. I never thought to use it for this purpose before I saw this thread, and I don't plan to use it much, but it's good to know it's an option for times when I'm not in a position to take notes during a call.

Good analysis, I only put it in default and don't tested other options. Good to know it is the best option for the moment. I will be waiting for improvements too.

[Q] Problem with Battery save option!

Hi, I'm having some trouble to activate the battery save option in the Moto X. First I thought it was a system problem, because when I choose "On", if I scrool down and then scroll up again the option goes back to "Off". But after a factory reset the problem went away whitout any apps installed, but after I installed some apps, the problem appeared again.
Did anyone knows what's going with my phone???
Using art runtime? I think that's the culprit

Did you disable Moto assist? For some reason you need it enabled to use battery saver. Then your basically using more battery than your saving. Lol

Led control for moto maxx

Maxx have a Green led, its any app for control, like notifications in whatapps, i already have root.
Is the same case with moto x first and second generation.
The Led isn't functional like others phones. Is only for errors.

Hello, how can I change or fake the resolution of the Moto X for only one app.
I already change the build.prop but this don't work, I do no why!!!
And I do not use the xposed because this don't work well yet on Moto X.
