This phone could use a minimalistic clear rubber bumper - to increase the grip for those with clean hands, and to add some ding protection for the edges.
Any idea if anything like this exists?

When I got my Flipside there were not many options for snap on cases. Actually, the only one I could find was the Body Glove Entrepreneur snap on case. I got mine from eBay for $10.95, including shipping.
It has excellent fit and does not add much bulk to the phone. I feel that the phone is easier to handle with the case on.
The Flipside's camera protrudes from the back of the phone slightly. That means that without the case the phone never laid flat when placed on a table. With the case on the phone will lay flat and the camera is protected.
The back surface of the case has a raised pattern on it that keeps it from being slippery. The case does not pick up lint the way that silicon of soft rubber cases often do.
The case just snaps on the phone, but it is very secure. It is easiest to remove the case if you open the keyboard first.

Good to know. I've always resisted getting cases for my phones for this very reason. Pulling out your awesome new phone only have pocket lint stuck all over it makes anyone look like a rookie...
I am going on vacation soon and would like to get the Trident Cyclops for extra protection for my phone (I currently have a silicone case). I have one question. I know the case is a combination of a hard polycarbonate with a silicone rubber wrapping around it. I have a hard plastic case for my Nexus, except I stopped using it because the inside has no soft padding, so the inside of the case scratches my phone. Does the same thing happen with the Cyclops? Does the inside of the polycarbonate case have any soft padding to prevent scratches?
Thanks!
Is there a alternative case with faux holes instead of real holes that would keep the screen clean?

The holes on the OEM DotView Case are not real holes, there is a thin layer (maybe plastic) that covers them. The ones covering the Speakers are doesnt have this layer, you can see them and compare.
I If you keep your Dotview case Clean it should not happen.
I own the Gray Dot View Case.
I own the grey case as well for about 6 months. The rubber on the corners of the case are tearing off the slim metal frame.
Dont get the case if you want protection for the m8, because it is worthless as protection.
Which is better?
I hate slim cases that are vulnerable to scratch....
Or plz recommend me another slim case.
I have the spigen and am very happy with it. I don't keep my keys in the same pocket as the phone but no scratches after a months use. Also not many fingerprints (and they wipe away nicely if there are any) on it and it has a nice grip to it.
I have the spigen thin and have the ringke slim on order. Reason being the bottom of the spigen is a bit uncomfortable to hold, for me it's the right pinky finger. The ringke goes all around so shouldn't have this problem.
I have dropped my 5X twice now onto concrete with the spigen. Not only does it scratch it dents like hell. Looks like a dog has chewed on the corners. From what i understand the ringke uses similar material.
If you want something that will take hits a bit better, i suggest look at something else. I'm gonna try take better care of my next one, as i really like these cases and the soft feel. Also like how the camera hump has good protection.
Edit: Didn't see the Nillkin part. I also have that case, the nature tpu. It's very thin and has dust flaps for charger and headphone. Don't use it anymore because the camera protection is no good (read non existent). If it protected the hump i'd consider using it. Also the sides are very flexible being so thin, it collects a lot of pocket crap.

Love the Ringke Slim. For a little more protection, the Diztronic TPU is good.

I don't have any experience with the Spigen, but after dropping my Ringke on several hard surfaces the case has held up great. No chunks or scratches to the surrounding TPU. After a few months, the clear plastic has a few faint scratches on the back but you can't notice them unless you catch it in the light just the right way.

You probably don't have the ringke slim. I don't think this thread is about the tpu versions.

My mistake, I keep confusing the Slim with the Fusion, which I have.
I went from Spigen slim to Nillkin slim because of the discomfort to my right pinky, similar to what was mentioned earlier. Not only is this not an issue on the Nillkin slim case, but the textured back feels nice in the hand. I haven't dropped my phone with either case yet, so I can't say how well the Nillkin holds up.
I've had the nillkin fit a few months but am looking for another case. I've loved it so far.... It's insanely thin and the cutoff are great and there dizzy covers, while slightly annoying, are ultimately a benefit. Unfortunately, it's thin and flexible and thus collects pocket longer like crazy. I have the clear version which is now discoloring quite a bit from hand oils and pockets. I loved this case up front (and it was dirt cheap) but it hasn't quite last line of hoped. I'm currently evaluating the diztronic TPU and ringke slim.
I would just choose Ringke because of the brand name.Reads more cool.
Ive just got myself a Ringke slim. It's better than Spigen because it covers the phone completely from all sides. The cutouts are perfect and donot hurt the little finger.
What is the Slimmest grippiest case with a lip for the oneplus3?
I want the camera to have protection but i want a very slim and not that wobbly kind of case. I mean a tpu that is tooooo soft..
Ringke then.
Spigen rugged armor. Just got it. It's slim enough and it's got the perfect amount of lip protection for both the camera and the screen. Bonus : it's a looker.
The clear Ringke Fusion is thin, but solid. It also has little 'nubs' on the bottom that don't just keep the camera bump protected, but slightly lift the whole case off the surface/table/whatever. If anything, I wish the cutout for the headphone jack was just a bit bigger. I hate cases, in general, but this one is pretty good.

Ive looked at this case and i have seen similar that is diztronic and Tudia arch, i want it to bw tight slim and grippy.
How do these compare?
I havet tested cases with the nubs on the back corners but i dont need that kind of protection..

I don't have any experience with either of them but I did consider them both when I was looking. They are all smooth TPU cases so expect them to have a similar kind of protection and texture. My phone has much more grip with a TPU case than naked so I don't think you'll have much issue with any one of these cases. Just get whichever one appeals the most to you.
rhino shield? grippy and quite slim
I'm using the POETIC Affinity Black/Clear - very happy with it.
