[Q]Xperia v 4.3 get root manually - Sony Xperia T, TL, TX, V

hello everyone, I just flash stock 4.3 rom via flashtool
but I'd like to root my stock rom instead of flash any other rom with any fix or tweaks...
Is there any way to make my stock 4.3 rooted?
Thanks, and forgive my poor english besides, ha

Only if you unlock the Bootloader. And even then you must still slaughter a goat at fool moon.
To my opinion best is installing 4.12, root, CWM and then installing a "root-upgraded" 4.3. The Nordic one is available in stock condition afaik.

[Q] how to revert back from 4.1.2 rocket rom to 1.0.4 ics unrooted state

I have downloaded mobile Odin pro. I just wanted to know , if I flash ICS 4.0.4 for my country (taken from sammobile) will i be able to unroot and claim warranty / or be able to revert to stock samsung ICS and get my samsung software updates as usual ?
It would be really nice if someone could help me on this .

as Shyam replied earlier, yes you can do with PC Odin.
Depends on your purpose. Are you still going to use it for your personal use ? or are you going to sell back to Samsung ?
If you are going to sell back to samsung / claim for warranty (if your current state need any claim of it).
If you are going to sell back to Samsung / claim your warranty, better you just flash back original firmware (can be downloaded from samfirmware.com) with PC Odin. You should need around 5 minutes (plus-minus) to flash it back.
By doing this, you will loose your root, get original firmware (ROM), with original (stock) kernel. Once you are on pure stock kernel, please do not do any wipe data, as I believe you know the consequences.
But if you want to keep root (and use it for personnal), you can use Mobile ODIN. But you have to check first which version is running on JB rom, since according to you, you are now on JB custom rom. My understanding, earlier mobile ODIN doesn't work on JB rom.
If you don't want the hassle of doing so, Just :
Flash back original firmware (download from samfirmware.com), with PC Odin
Once boot up on ICS, go to stock recovery (Vol UP+Power+Home), flash Philz Kernel. (you will get root + CWM). You can refer to Philz thread, and download his correct kernel for your ICS built number.
Good Luck!

1. That require JB.
2. You can root with Shaaan's JB root method.
There is just Russian version of JB, so if you want KIES or OTA update to JB, you have to wait for JB to be released in your country.

I sent you a pm too.
Download kernel, put it in your phones memory and use this app to install it. It is most safe and easy way.

Did you do a double factory reset/cache clear when you flashed JB?

[Q] What to install?

hi im trying to figure out what to install on my brothers xperia TL. i want to install a deodexed stock rom preferably the lastest. so that he can tether and get the reboot options for the power menu. i've looked around but everything got confusing with all the fw numbers. he is rooted locked bootloader ICS currently
if you want a deodexed rom you need to check the development thread. Xperiment is one for the TL, but mine should work as well.
Or you can update via pccompanion and deodex it yourself in dsixdas kitchen.

New Bugfree KitKat Rom?

Hey there is a New bugfree build of an KitKat Rom.
here;
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2581768&nocache=1
anyone tested it? is it totally bugfree, i mean good for daily use like phone (call volume) SMS and all the other things? and whats about the battery? and works wifi? i mean in all other KitKat Roms are the wifi Start bug and thats ****ty and the reason why i dont flash KitKat ^^
and my last question... i have the stock JB 4.1.2 Rom , can i flash it or i need to do other things like New kernel?
sorry guys for my english im german. and my autocorrecture (keyboard) Try to change all words into an german word
Phantomymous
OP is a technic guide. Flashing ROM is up to you if you want KitKat install and see what happens.Because you can always re-install stock firmware with Odin software. A lot of AOSP ROMs has Samsung's signature you don't have to root your phone (or install a custom kernel) BUT if you edit the zip the signature will be broken or if you just want to make sure do these;
Now for installing you don't have to install kernel. You should root and install temporary recovery with stock recovery. Then you can do whatever you wantbut CWM is temporary you should re-flash everytime if you don't want to install custom kernel otherwise with custom kernels you will have permanent recovery.

[Q] Rooting and CWM my 2nd n7000

Hi guys
I recently brought a 2nd hand n7000
This rom is totally stock, to be precise, it is a Hong Kong version 4.0.4
Since I want to improve the battery life and have a more defined rom.
I would like to root and install CWM.
Up to now, I understand that there's the infamous brick kernels out there. And I probably need to stay away from ICS.
But because of my n7000 is 2nd hand, i don't know much history about it.
i can not know for sure, that this n7000 is shipped with GB or ICS at the first place?
Or the last guy actually upgrade it from a GB.
My research in this forum tells me it's always better to start with the JB aka 4.1.2 stock.
My question is can i simply flash a HK 4.1.2 as a base without doing all sort of EMMC checking?
Then, flash kernel comes with root & CWM? And finally my rom of choice?
I would like someone could guide me and show me the SAFE way,
Thx in advance!!
Ya.. You can upgrade to JB.. Use of Odin or Kies. Then use Philz kernel to root and get cwm. Now you may proceed with custom roms.
Thx for answering.
I have successfully upgraded my n7000 to JB
it's ZSLR1 (Hong Kong latest stock JB)
Just one more question about rooting.
Can you help me check if this is the correct kernel?
philz_touch_6.19.3-n7000.zip
from http://goo.im/devs/philz_touch/CWM_Advanced_Edition/n7000
I am planning to use the stock recovery method.
I am too afraid to brick this n7000 with "wrong" kernel
THX

That kernel is fine if you plan to flash another 4.1.2 or touchwiz based ROM. If you plan on upgrading to kit kat or 4.3jb custom ROMs, you will need raw kernel instead.
