its doesnt matter if you go back to 4.4.2 you need your carrier apn and then the mobile data will work

Typically the carrier automatically updates the APN, but it's good to manually check.

You'll have to manually add them back. What carrier are you on? It should be a simple google search to find that carrier's APN settings.

A quick search will bring up hundreds of links that give you the AT&T APN. Please at least try searching next time, below is the very first XDA link on a Google search for "ATT APN settings"
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-nexus/help/apn-settings-att-t1851128
Mobile Data working fine for me...Make sure you have APN settings.
Navigate on your phone to Settings>Connections>More networks>mobile networks>access point names
Then hit the menu button and click "Reset to default" and see if they don't reappear like magic. Then choose the first one and reboot. If that doesn't work, try the 2nd one.
Mine showed:
ATT Phone
ATT WAP
TracFone
after Reset to default.

Is it just a display bug, or are you really unable to access mobile internet?
If your really unable to access it, where are you from? Maybe you need another baseband.

Flash the baseband (the small file you get from kdz extractor) should be around 8 MB, from your own unpacked files. Then you ll get the baseband of Canada's version. Check if it solves it Maybe pretty sure we got different basebands...

Hi I flashed a 4.2.2 ROM on my phone and then back down to a Nandroid backup and now I don't get any voice. Data works fine. LTE and all that jazz. I don't see any signal bars despite updating profile and PRL. Is there a radio file that might fix this or some other method?

it might those are the flashable radio files you asked for. if that doesn't work you can try and enter ##DATA# on the dialer and go edit mode, profile, menu and reset profile you need your MSL for this . Or call Sprint and have them reactivate the phone
Hi, recently got a Nexus 6 for myself. From the beginning, data didn't work on 5.1.1 although I was getting plenty of signal and calls/SMS's were all sent and received. Out of curiosity, I flashed M preview and then data worked fine but I was losing battery very, very fast so I flashed 5.1.1 back. Any ideas what might cause me not get data on 5.1.1?
If im not wrong.. Try to change the apn settings.

Could be APN settings or the M radio isn't playing nice with the Lollipop....
Definitely not the case with APN. Tried deleting all APN's and setting one up again, still no data on 5.1.1.

Deleting and restoring the APN is not the same as deleting/editing or manually entering the APN settings. What carrier are you on and what ROM if any?

Also have you tried changing the kernel and firmware back to the stock?
Sorry, my brain is going a mile a minute... The stock build, you are downloading that file via the official factory image page? https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images

I have a SM-N9200, which is a China (inc. Hongkong) variety. In order to get Google Play, which is not available in the Chinese version, I flashed the Hong Kong version. But I have no cell signal after flash. Both roms (Chinese Mainland and Hong Kong) are designed for the same model, it should work. Does anyone have any ideas on this? Thanks in advance.

You should check your APN settings and either select the correct one (if it's there) or create another one. Tap settings, Mobile networks and then Access Point Names.

It's unlikely to be a APN problem, because there is not any signal at all.

There's a way to get it in there on your version but I really don't have time to get into all that but you're not bootloader locked so you should be able to figure this out pretty easily with a few searches.

Thank you, will search.
THIS THREAD WILL NOT BE UPDATED,
Thanks to @jkruse for finding the original install method
I assume no responsibility for any bricked, or damaged devices. WARNING.. ONCE ON BOOTLOADER 4 YOU CANNOT ROLL BACK!
DO NOT ROOT OR USE ENGBOOT
Be sure that OEM Unlock is off
Before I start, you can flash whichever modem(cp) you want AFTER using both updates.
First, download one of the carriers firmware
Verizon PH1
2: Flash the firmware with the prince cosmy odin with SHA256 bypass
3: download the Verizon update
4: On your external SD card, Create a folder called FOTA and move the update over to that file.
5: Using Power, Home, And volume up, boot into recovery
6: Choose apply update from SD card
7: find update.zip in the FOTA folder you created on EXT storage
8: Click yes to apply
EDIT:9: After flashing ota1, use the same method for the second OTA
After it finishes updating, you should be on android 7.0 Nougat. hopefully you will be able to download new OTA updates in the future.
I personally recommend not setting anything up except for a file manager until you update as a factory reset always helps after an update.
You do not want to be rooted. You must be stock for this to work!
There is no gear VR available on the beta.
Troubleshooting:
"E: footer is wrong" followed by "E: signature verification failed" : Decrypt your SD Card and try again.
Thanks to the people over at the Verizon, forum for their firmware, update, and method.

You have to be on Verizons firmware for the verizon beta. AT&T does not participate in the beta, and I have not yet found the sprint file and the T-Mobile file has not yet been released.
Waiting for the T-Mobile because I heard it is much smoother and more stable firmware.
So is there anything that doesn't work? I'm currently downloading all the files. I'm on AT&T. Very eager to try this!
