I have a SM-N9200, which is a China (inc. Hongkong) variety. In order to get Google Play, which is not available in the Chinese version, I flashed the Hong Kong version. But I have no cell signal after flash. Both roms (Chinese Mainland and Hong Kong) are designed for the same model, it should work. Does anyone have any ideas on this? Thanks in advance.

You should check your APN settings and either select the correct one (if it's there) or create another one. Tap settings, Mobile networks and then Access Point Names.

It's unlikely to be a APN problem, because there is not any signal at all.

My bad I didn't think you meant it like that.. In any case I would suggest you flash back to your other stock ROM and is there some reason you can't just install the .apk files needed to run the play store?

Installing those files manually can't set off the Knox counter to my knowledge.

I didn't say to root it you said in your first post that you flashed the Hong Kong version or something so I said to go back to what you were on when you bought the phone and then use Google search for the apks and install them... Nothing root needed here.

Thanks, I tried that, but the Google apps kept crashing (missing system permission?). And I have no way to fix that...

There's a way to get it in there on your version but I really don't have time to get into all that but you're not bootloader locked so you should be able to figure this out pretty easily with a few searches.

Is it just a display bug, or are you really unable to access mobile internet?
If your really unable to access it, where are you from? Maybe you need another baseband.

Flash the baseband (the small file you get from kdz extractor) should be around 8 MB, from your own unpacked files. Then you ll get the baseband of Canada's version. Check if it solves it Maybe pretty sure we got different basebands...

Ya I don't get it bud. I did state all is good.
So, today I was trying to recover some lost files after resetting my tablet, only for the app to stop working and caused my tablet to go in an endless boot. I get to the Samsung Title, but get red words on top saying something about recovering seandroid enforcing. I'm not sure what t do other than odin back stock, but I am not sure what firmware it is that I need as I haven't rooted my tablet or done anything that would require it.
Any help would be great, thank you!
You would only get that warning if you somehow flashed a custom recovery.
Just download the firmware for your region and flash with odin.

Thank you for the reply. The only thing is, I can't seem to find the one for my region. I checked on Sam Mobile, but don't see anything for the U.S.

Hello!i think u have to try to install a app from play store called Phone Info, and check your info device to be shure of your phone, probably it is not an N920F.it's not released.
I made some screenshots
Do you know what are those codes on the margins of the screen?
I think it is something related with developer settings.
Go to settings > developer options.
That's a picture of how is suposed to be your settings
It should be something like a prototype or kinda, because it is made a lot earlier than the actual device

Is it safe? If something go wrong while flashing i can't revert to original firmware because it isn't one.

as long as they have the very same processor, you shouldnt have "any" issues. Just be sure that you will flash only the PDA/AP and not the BL CP OR CSC.
You may also make a nandroid backup by flashing a custom recovery eg. TWRP and then backup, for being "extra" secure

Aww, too bad. Do you happen to know where to get the firmware? - And by the way, do you think that using WAS-LX2JC719B185 should work too? It's kind of using the update or not, I guess?
I tried extracting the recovery and recovery2 and flashed both, but still wasn't able to use the update.app. Installation always fails at 5%. Is the folder structure /dload/update.app correct, or do I need anything else? - Like, relocking or something.
It would be really helpful if you knew that.

Already pressed the button, but I still have to speak it out: Thank you so much! You really saved my phone.
It was going more and more crazy. Permission issues over permission issues. In the end I couldn't even make or receive calls or SMS.
Thanks man! :good:

By the way, The APN is jcommobile.jp, but my provider is uqmobile.jp. I tried adding a new APN, but it doesn't show up in the list. Any idea how to fix that? Guess I can go to UQmobile and ask them... >_>
EDIT: Got it working by restaring + deactivating all network + reset of network.
EDIT2: Well, that was too early. I can enter almost all data and save it, but when I enter the APN, then it just vanishes. I think it should be selected, because jcommobile is not selected and I still got network + phone...
Just like the title, i use the lower version of 10r(12.0) try to flash my ace(13.0).

You mistake was using OOS12. When you are switching from COS to OOS or vice-versa the version you are switching to must be newer than your current version.

you need to pay someone to flash for you. I've been there and done that it would cost 30usd ....they got the oppo tools with the factory login to flash for you they don't need it to enter fastboot
