Is it just a display bug, or are you really unable to access mobile internet?
If your really unable to access it, where are you from? Maybe you need another baseband.

Flash the baseband (the small file you get from kdz extractor) should be around 8 MB, from your own unpacked files. Then you ll get the baseband of Canada's version. Check if it solves it Maybe pretty sure we got different basebands...

Hi,
I was trying to re-install kernel after rooting/unlocking device and things went a bit wrong.
I used CF-Root-XX_OXA_JVZ-v4.3-CWM3RFS.zip from this thread, and still have root access, but sim card is not seen at all by the device.
Can someone please advise me on something to do
Thank you a lot
Discribe the way you flashed the kernel, please ...
Did you try to flash kernel second time ... sometimes it helps ...

I downloaded the GT-I9000_XWJVZ_insecure from one link in XDA (unfortunately I didn't bookmarked the thread) and then could root and unlock the device. But I read somewhere that after unlocking the device I should re-flash with a secure kernel, so I searched in XDA and found CF-Root-XX_OXA_JVZ-v4.3-CWM3RFS.zip in here.
So, used odin to flash again, after it, it still rooted but the sim card is not recognized at all.
Already tried to flash back, but still not recognized, also reset the device but still

I guess so, as in About phone > Baseband version says "Unknown"
When I go to Settings > Wireless and networks > Mobile networks, it says Insert SIM card, and it is there. Already tried to remove, clean and re-insert

its doesnt matter if you go back to 4.4.2 you need your carrier apn and then the mobile data will work

Typically the carrier automatically updates the APN, but it's good to manually check.

You'll have to manually add them back. What carrier are you on? It should be a simple google search to find that carrier's APN settings.

A quick search will bring up hundreds of links that give you the AT&T APN. Please at least try searching next time, below is the very first XDA link on a Google search for "ATT APN settings"

Mobile Data working fine for me...Make sure you have APN settings.
Navigate on your phone to Settings>Connections>More networks>mobile networks>access point names
Then hit the menu button and click "Reset to default" and see if they don't reappear like magic. Then choose the first one and reboot. If that doesn't work, try the 2nd one.
Mine showed:
ATT Phone
ATT WAP
TracFone
after Reset to default.
Hi, recently got a Nexus 6 for myself. From the beginning, data didn't work on 5.1.1 although I was getting plenty of signal and calls/SMS's were all sent and received. Out of curiosity, I flashed M preview and then data worked fine but I was losing battery very, very fast so I flashed 5.1.1 back. Any ideas what might cause me not get data on 5.1.1?
If im not wrong.. Try to change the apn settings.

Could be APN settings or the M radio isn't playing nice with the Lollipop....
Definitely not the case with APN. Tried deleting all APN's and setting one up again, still no data on 5.1.1.

I have a SM-N9200, which is a China (inc. Hongkong) variety. In order to get Google Play, which is not available in the Chinese version, I flashed the Hong Kong version. There's a way to get it in there on your version but I really don't have time to get into all that but you're not bootloader locked so you should be able to figure this out pretty easily with a few searches.

Hey guys, I need some help here... I've flashed my R1HD and selected the format all + download option , obviously I bricked my phone,:silly: finally I could bring it back to live (with the preloader of the 6.6 version and the files of the 6.4 version) but in the process the IMEIS were erased and I haven't been able to restore them. I've tried 8 different methods and still they're null so if anyone knows a method that actually works in this especific model (tasted) or send me a twrp back up of your system to check I'm not missing some file... I would be Thankfull. :fingers-crossed:

Oh so you didn't use preloader from 6.6 maybe the 6.6 safe rom preloader then. Either way that's good that it works with spft.
I tested with it and did two walk through with people who did format all. They both said now there eimi problem was solved. I was able to make my imei show as different numbers but my db file wasn't formated like there's. That's why I included the device db file.
Also as side note the 7.4. update changes database files again but not the imei. to add band 12
