Phone specs:
ROM: UDroid
Safestrap: Yes, latest KK version
Root: Yes
Sim: T-Mobile
Model: SM-N900a
Issue: When I try to turn on wifi hotspot / tethering I get the following message: "Mobile hotspot is not available or invalid sim"
I searched online and came across this thread, with the following suggestion: Freeze "tethering provision" in system apps
I did that in Titanium Root, but when I tried to turn on the hotspot, I get "Unfortunately Settings is not Responding"
Are there any other suggestions known to enable this Wifi Tethering / Hotspot?
Thank you!

Hello guys! I haven't had any 3G/4G connection for 3 days now and I couldn't find a fix
I tried the battery/sim-card pull and *#*#4636#*#*. I'm running on the 5.9.902 version (stock ROM) and never really flashed anything after I rooted the phone months ago. What gives?
Any suggestions to fix this? I tried to boot on another rom but it too has no 3G/4G connection. Wi-Fi works fine on both though.
Please help!
UPDATE: I installed a newer version of the Eclipse ROM (2.2) and I can see the 4G icon. I'll test it out. I'm still wondering why I suddenly lost my connection on the stock ROM?
This happend to a friend of mines and my brother. Some how they had just turned Data off in Settings -> Battery & data manager -> Data delivery -> Data Enabled on/off
Oh, I'll try that when I boot on the stock ROM. Thank you!
I updated my Thrill to ICS as soon as I got it, and unlocked it via CellUnlockers online. Unfortunately, my data connection isn't connected at all, even tho I have it on (IE, under About this Phone / Network / Data Connection it's listed as not connected).
This is a fantastic phone, but no data would be a downer. How could I go about fixing this?
I am rooted and have CWM Recovery installed.
Has any been able to get it to work successfully? I've got my boot loader unlocked and I've flashed the latest nightly. The issue comes with my data. My network status shows a connection to sprint but calls, text and data will not work. My lock screen says there is a SIM error. Has any one found a fix for this?
UPDATE
I have found some what of a solution if it is at all helpful to anyone. I restored back to my RW 4.4.2 back up and was able to unlock the SIM using this method http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x/general/guide-success-sim-unlock-sprint-xt1056-t2825155. I then proceed to install CM 12. Once booted I was greeted with the same SIM error as I was originaly. However, after using the radio switcher and change apn apps from the play store I was able to have working data using the "auto CDMA(prl)" radio and "Sprint Internet" apn. I make/receive calls and texts and data works fine, but the provider still shows as "Roaming Indicator Off".
How were you able to go back to 4.4.2? Are you still using it on RW?
Hello I have searched all the forums but I can't find and working solution to get free wifi tether to work on my LG G4 with T-Mobile.
I have added the net.tethering.noprovisioning=true command to the build prop file and when I enable the hotspot I am able to connect devices to my phone but there is no internet available on the connected devices.
I am currently running a LG G4 which upgraded itself to
Android 6.0
build number MRA58K
Software version H81120i
Android patch level 2016-01-01
After my phone updated to Marshmallow I unlocked the bootloader and rooted my phone. Installed a build prop editor and edited the file to include net.tethering.noprovisioning=true.
Is there any way to get unlimited wifi tether with this phone? If not is there a way I can downgrade to lolipop or previous version to get the tether working? When I had the previous version of the software I was able to use an app called Wifi Tether Router which worked but it is no longer compatible with marshmallow and tmobile.
Thanks in advance for any help.
1. Get the app, Android terminal
2. Launch app to start terminal and type "su"
3. After that, type in "settings put global tether_dun_required 0"
It should work hopefully. It worked for me. Please note that every time you reboot / power down and turn on the phone, you have put this command in again.
Thanks I tried that. I am able to connect to the phone with another device but there is no Internet available.
More than likely it is a tunneling issue. It's not routing the Internet through the wifi like it's supposed to do. What wifi tether app are you using?
Hello,
I recently attempted upgrading my device from 5.1.1 to 7.1 G890AUCS7DRF2. The device successfully installed all 4 parts of the installation using Odin.

After the initial install I'm now having trouble with my Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. I'm not getting any sort of IP address under my Bluetooth tab.
Attempted troubleshooting:
-Attempted resetting Wi-Fi and Bluetooth in the settings of the cell phone.
-Also attempted clearing cache from recovery.
-Reset device completely to factory.
The only thing that pops up is my cellular data and that works fine. Anyone have any solutions to this issue? I'm unable to revert to 5.1.1.
