Aslam o Aleikum (Peace be upon you) Recently i unlocked and rooted my htc one and now i want to restore back to stock . Now the problem is that i have european version with vodafone and the firmware is not resembling with one that is available at (htc1guru.com) and i am getting (customer id error 131)
my firmware is 4.19.161.11 and the one that is available is 4.19.401.9 but cid and mid is same.so how can i restore with available ruu .
Any help will be really appreciated , Salam
Can you post a fastboot getvar all please.. Why do you want to return to stock. If it's for warranty issues, your bootloader needs to be locked and not relocked with tampered removed.. Read this thread..

Would trying to flash the wrong ruu of changed hboot before saying there was an error? Is there a 1.28 ruu out yet?

Getting error when flashing supermisc signature fail
I am using a HTC One for the Region India
Software Number : 2.24.707.3
Build version : 2.24.707.3 CL211355 release-keys
Baseband Version : 4A.17.3250.14_10.39.1150.04D
CID : HTC_038
the bootloader was unlocked using HTCDev . I had taken a backup of the stock rom before installing viper rom. I decided to come back to stock rom , so i have restored the backup.
I wanted to relock the bootloader . I checked quite a few sites for the indian RUU and got the link for bugsylawson , unfortunately the link doesnt work as the site is no longer online.
I relocked the bootloader using the command "Fastboot oem lock " . Now the bootloader screen reads " Tampered Unlocked" .
How do i get it back to stock and in a condition that no one can find out that my phone was once rooted and bootloader locked?
Please advise.
I never found an RUU, but if you're returning your phone for warranty, they don't seem to care about unlocked bootloader/root.. I returned my One with trickdroid & TWRP, and they did it

I am planning to sell this . Have issues with the camera purple tint . since its more than a month old HTC wont give me the DOA certificate. the buyer is ready to buy this phone unless its in stock condition.
The HTC center will happily replace your camera for free.. Even I have the problem, they've ordered one for me, and are gonna get it replaced this week..

What hboot version are you on? Only way to removed the tampered flag is to be s-off. They patched this on 1.54 and newer hboot. Being s off would also allow you to flash a different ruu by changing cid. If there is no ruu for your cid, and you can not s off, restore the backup and relock. That is the closest you can get to stock.

It's probably cause you have the custom recovery still on the phone. You need the stock one
Go to the HTC center, if you get a good customer service rep, he'll RUU it for free (yes they have the new RUUs, they just don't give it to you)

Restore stock backup.
Flash stock recovery.
Relock boot loader.
This is as close to stock as you can get without an ruu and no s-off.

Went to the service centre , they flashed the RUU . The Customer Care Rep showed me that i have tinkered around with the bootloader . It now shows Relocked and he also said that my warranty is void .
I have an HTC one running 4.3 google play I want it to be back to stock so I can sell it. It was originially running Bell mobility but I could not find an RUU for Bell but I found some OTA's for bell. how would I go about this, is it possible? Can I use another RUU and then flash the OTA for bell would that work?
If anyone has a bell RUU that would help alot thank you.

If you fully converted to GPe, then you have s-off. Change the CID and flash a WWE Developers Edition RUU.

You can't with s-on. Flash a backup of your carriers stock rom and a stock recovery. Your phone will still say Tampered and Relocked.

If you never S-off before then you haven't changed your CID. If that's the case then follow @Mike1986 guide to going back to stock. Use method 3.: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2265618. Grab the CWM stock Nandroid for your device from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=45187010&postcount=1. [deleted]
That should work as long as you haven't changed your CID before.
Correction: That nandroid should have the stock recovery in it, if it's not then you'll have to search for it and flash it via fastboot. My apologies.

Will following what you said make the root untraceable. Meaning the warranty will be unvoided?

No, because your bootloader will indicate "Re-locked" instead of "Locked". Also, your IMEI was registered in HTC's database when you unlocked the bootloader via htcdev website. Only way to cover some of your tracks is to S-off the device by Revone if possible and using their lock command. It involves some risk. Rooting the phone doesn't always void the warranty, many times they'll will honor it if it's a genuine hardware issue.

You don't flash a nandroid. You unzip it and use the restore function.

Remove your imei and serial numbers from the post, that's your personal information.. To remove red text on start up look here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2156368
Custom stock roms ie ARHD etc, are the most up to date out there. HTC tends to roll out their updates very gradually.. personally I'd go with custom stock roms.
PS.. If you use the custom hboot to remove red text, DO NOT RETURN TO S-ON...it will brick your phone.. Always flash stock hboot first, if you decide to S-ON in the future..

The RUU should match your MID and CID. As your s-on it must also be the same version as your current Version main or it must be an update.
Look here http://androidruu.com/?developer=M7
Post the output of
Code:
fastboot getvar all
Please remove imei and serial no. before posting.
I think you'll be lucky to find one to use wit s-on and hboot 1.57.
HTC1guru working now
Fixed thanks
