The RUU should match your MID and CID. As your s-on it must also be the same version as your current Version main or it must be an update.
Look here http://androidruu.com/?developer=M7
Post the output of
Code:
fastboot getvar all
Please remove imei and serial no. before posting.
I think you'll be lucky to find one to use wit s-on and hboot 1.57.

HTC1guru working now

Fixed thanks

[Q] M7 on voda boot loop help

Hi guys I spent 6 hours y.day trying to recover my phone and I need help big time!
Okay it's stuck in boot loop mode at the moment and there are no ruu that I can find to match my phone. The only file I could find to match was the OTA file, but its not exercutable like the rru. Any suggestions?? I'm desperate.
All videos on the web on how to return to stock requires RRU files.
Can't you just use a stock unbranded RUU? The new dev edition RUU is up on HTC Dev
Sent from my HTC One using xda app-developers app
Yeah that's an idea if I can't find a way around it, but if possible I would like to get it back to stock
Download the all in one m7 tool ans use that to flash the ota zip file. Other wise just flash an unbrandad RUU for your country

1- Why do you want to unroot and relock it? Send it for repair under warranty?
2- what is your CID and MID?
3- Is your device s-off?

There is no RUU for this one. I really doubt it will comes out. I was in the same boat couple week ago when I bought mine from ebay. Received this HTC One M7_U CID HTC__332 MID PN0711000. This is a mexican/american latina version missing some features and not received any ota update yet except a small one for camera.
If you want to play with your phone (install custom rom, recovery etc...) there is no way to go back to your .599 stock software locked and unrooted.
But if you s-off it you will be able to return to ''stock'' but not the same software region. i.e. you can return to stock .401 but not .599.
btw .599 sucks
The best thing you can do imo is to unlock bootloader, install twrp recovery, install root, s-off, change cid to HTC__001 and mid to PN0710000, run a .401 ruu and update it ota to android 4.3 (3.62.401.1) this will make your device an international one and will be much easier to play with after.
K thanks alot

No prob, just be sure to read carefully before proceeding. Changing MID can be a little tricky and scary when you flash the eng hboot, but it worth it. I'm still runing my HTC One on 3.62.401 and everything still working fine. If you need more assistance regarding all those steps pm me or just quote me in this thread.
the same to me

You cant s-off with revone on hboot 1.55. You need to use rumrunner tool to s-off

Can't find software update in menu

I just got my brand new unbranded HTC One here in Dubai. After starting the phone, I went to the 'about' phone section to know the current Android OS (4.1.2) and do an update but I can't find 'software update' in the menu. My S/N is FA344S901281.
I forgot to mention that on the Tell HTC, it was written "this is a test device". Please I need help with this problem.

So you bought a used device?
Go into the bootloader by longpressing power + volume down till it reboots...still hold the buttons still the bootloader appears.
What does it state at the top.
Locked or unlocked?
Seems there's a custom rom on your device?
To fix it, you could simply run a RUU to restore to stock.
It is a brand new device. It says "locked". M7_UL PVT SHIP S-OFF RH; CID-11111111; HBOOT-1.54.0000; RADIO-4A.17.3250.14; OS- 5.29.401.13; eMMC-boot 2048MB; Jun 22 2013, 00:54:00 12857

This is not a new device.
Hate to be the bearer of bad new but im afraid if it has CID of 11111111 that means your handset has been hacked to have the security turned
off the CID (Customer ID) changed to a universal one and then the more than likely a reverse engineered hboot to reset the tampered flag and set the HBOOT back to **LOCKED**
What network do you want to be on and which country do you live in and i might be able to guide you through it.

CID is Carrier ID, keep it as 11111111 (SuperCID), download CIDGetter from Play Store, once it sees SuperCID, it will pull the original CID from a secondary partition, then you will know where your phone came from.
It means it was s-off from manufacturer.

nope, 100% used phone (or at least the guy at the shop did it), you may get an s-off device (highly unlikely) but not SuperCID. download CIDGetter and tell us what your real CID is
It says CID is 11111111 from CID getter.

okay, so here's what your gonna have to do:
1- post a "fastboot getvar all" (remove IMEI and s/n)
2- post a screenshot of bootloader
3- post a screenshot of Settings -> About -> Software information
4- where/what do you want your phone to be
@nkk71 could you put me through the steps on how to do each of the tasks.

Hey man, dont take this the wrong way, I really mean no offense, but it seems you are not familiar with what I posted, so I don't think you should be attempting this.
I would recommend you take it back to the shop (or any experienced shop), and they can fix it for you.
Again, no offense intended.

Trust me when I say: go to a phone shop, and let them fix it
if you're not familiar with adb sdk, fastboot, custom recovery, etc. you should not be doing this. someone with a little experience in the phone shop, could have your phone perfect in less than half an hour.

It definitely appears to have been tampered with prior to you buying it
As @nkk71 says, the phone the chances of the phone being s-off are slim, and there is no way the phone would have that CID.
Also, the hboot is version 1.54, and your android version is 4.1.2 - the hboot for that should be 1.44 i think?
Take it back - demand a refund

ruu error 131

Aslam o Aleikum (Peace be upon you) Recently i unlocked and rooted my htc one and now i want to restore back to stock . Now the problem is that i have european version with vodafone and the firmware is not resembling with one that is available at (htc1guru.com) and i am getting (customer id error 131)

Any help will be really appreciated , Salam
Can you post a fastboot getvar all please.. Why do you want to return to stock. If it's for warranty issues, your bootloader needs to be locked and not relocked with tampered removed.. Read this thread..

Remove your imei and serial numbers from the post, that's your personal information.. To remove red text on start up look here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2156368
Custom stock roms ie ARHD etc, are the most up to date out there. HTC tends to roll out their updates very gradually.. personally I'd go with custom stock roms.
PS.. If you use the custom hboot to remove red text, DO NOT RETURN TO S-ON...it will brick your phone.. Always flash stock hboot first, if you decide to S-ON in the future..
