Not liking this Saturday as I was supposed to go out with my gf today, but instead it's rained, all day.

OK, so first off: think "Honeycomb." What comes to mind? An intricate heaxagonal lattice inhabitted by social insects with cool names and functions such as "queen" and "drone." It's no wonder the Android Honeycomb OS has inspired so many cool themes and desktop Wallpapers.
Now here's the challenege: Think "Ice Cream Sandwitch." What comes to mind? A kids treat. Now try to think of a single, solitary, cool theme or wallpaper inspired by the word "Ice Cream Sandwitch." You can't, can you? That's because it's not possible. Indeed, scientists working at NASA, JPL and CERN have proven that it's impossible to derive a single cool theme or wallpaper from something as dorky as an ice cream sandwitch.

I want to find a machine that makes shaved ice for drinks. not like a snow cone machine, but the ones like they have at some restaurants? So my girlfriend bought a chocolate lab (it's a girl) and we're having trouble naming it. She wants something typical like shadow or ember and I was looking for something a little more unique.
I can't think of anything, anyone have any fun, unique dog name suggestions?
A buddy has working dogs (g.shepherd & border collie) & always advised me to use single syllable names for easier command training.
I've always had g.sheps & my last was named Belle. The missus always had labs (black, tho') and her only girl was called Gem.
If you really want a longer name and in keeping with the chocolate theme.. how about Button?
Just remember, you must be comfortable calling the name in a public place... so choose wisely and enjoy having your new companion around.

I'm not the biggest fan, but I should point out that it's a girl dog and gus and otto are boy names i'm trying not to let her name it after movie characters.

Deefer Dog is pure win lmao. I suggested that and was vehemently shot down. It's pretty much been narrowed down to April (after the month we got her and it's the tv reported from the ninja turtles) and Artemis (since my brother actually has a yellow lab named apollo, it works)

It's all about what the neighbors hear you yelling late at night for the dogs to come inside.

Lol, I think we're going to go with Evie. It's nice and short, not too common and girlie enough to not sound stupid (one suggestion we found on line was, no lie, fabulicious (ugh).
