I have an XT1058 in Pakistan on Rogers 5.1 ROM but the LTE band used here is band 3 (1800 MHz), which the XT1058 does not support. I haven't tried running LTE on it yet but can I flash XT1052 (Europe and Asia Retail) radios on my phone? Or flash whole SBF? Is there any way to unlock band 3? Would it brick my phone?
@KidJoe Please help.
Thanks

Band support on the 2013 X relies on hardware and software(rom/radio code), BOTH have to support the bands you want to use. If the hardware doesn't support it, flashing a rom/radio that does wont help.

i know Working but how to enable Gsm ?
OK so I have the xt1050 variant, bootloader unlocked. LTE isn't fully supported on the GSM side of the phone and no CDMA carriers in my area will activate the phone, the only one that would doesn't exist anymore. I was wondering if I could flash the modem from another variant, could I use LTE on GSM? Or will it mess everything up? If I can do so, which variant do I need to take the NON-HLOS.bin from?
My device info=
My original OS: Android 4.4.2.
My original system version: 161.44.31.ghost_row.
ACG.en.US
Bootloader: 30.B4
Current OS: cm13 nightly 9/21
Another thing, will flashing/updating modem fix the speakerphone bug? Not sure where that comes in but I was reading the forums and saw that it would but I would have to update my bootloader also, and I can't ?

As you are bootloader unlocked you can update the gpt partition use any latest gpt partition, i will suggest you can try xt1053 lolipop stock rom for all your above problem.

I'd rather stay away from the gpt partition, last time I messed with it, I ended up with a brick. But I will try the NON-HLOS from the xt1053 stock ROM. Thanks for the help ??

Please reply back. I've tried everything I know to get LTE on GSM but it's still sticking with H+. And when trying to flash another variants modem and it still brings up CDMA on here. Any idea why when I'm grabbing the modem from the xt1053 and xt1058. Neither are CDMA.
I went ahead and flash the gpt so the speakerphone works now. That's the only good thing that's come out of me flashing this phone.
I've flashed NON-HLOS and the fsg. From both xt1053 and xt1058 variants. What should I do?

Buy god damn XT1058
Modem exchange gives nothing. And when you speak about LTE, you don't say anything of the bands available on your carrier(s). Get this information first.
XT1050 LTE bands = 700, 1700 MHz (B13/B4)
XT1058 LTE bands = 1900, 1700, 850, 2600, 700 MHz (B2/4/5/7/17)
XT1052 LTE bands = 800, 1800, 2600 MHz (B20/B3/B7)
XT1053 LTE bands = 700, 1700 MHz (B13/B4)
etc.

It's straight talk att network.

But oh well. I love my phone. I'll stick with H+

H+ (HSPA+) not so bad mode. LTE usually doesn't have prefect area cover, and weak signal will force phone to spend more energy on reconnection/switching.

Any Moto X can be carrier unlocked. That's US rule from 2014, afaik )

Mine is CDMA unlocked too. But straight talk wouldn't activate the CDMA side because it's not a Verizon or Sprint phone. I know Verizon works and it gets LTE on my phone. So why not on GSM. I noticed when switching to LTE only, it has a lock beside the network. Contacted them and they said it was a device issue. Is LTE locked on the GSM side? This is a weird phone but I love it bc it's bootloader unlocked.

And yes you're right, it's not too bad but it is slower than LTE especially in the browser.

No. Just make sure your carrier supports XT1050 LTE bands.
I would also replace SIM card to newer. It helps sometimes to get LTE.

I've actually tried to flash the radio from different variants. Even the AT&T modem has the lock beside the network. I'm gonna get a new sim but the thing is, I just activated the phone 3 days ago...thanks ?

And I'm on straight talk using at&t towers. Shouldn't the at&t moto x modem work?

I would suggest to forget about modem exchange. It won't give effect, and won't turn on XT1050 into XT1058.

Hi,
Does anyone know which bands are enabled on the US Cellular v405ua firmware? I currently have the 20a QA firmware flashed which has pretty much all bands enabled, but there haven't been any updates to it. I was thinking about flashing the US Cellular 20e version, but am not willing to lose any bands.

If you did OTA, i assume you are running stock? Not sure that helps me. Looks like att specific bands are disabled on the lg 40 from us cellular. Looks like i'm stuck with the 20a qa7 firmware for now.
In case this helps anyone else. US Cellular lg v40 specs:
4G LTE Bands 1/2/3/4/5/7/12/13/20/25/46/66/71; 800 MHz CDMA; 1.9 GHz CDMA PCS
