Hi,
I flashed BeanStalk-4.4.285-20140503-jactiveltexx (my first experience with custom ROMs). I would be happy with this ROM if there were not these issues with bluetooth.
There are frequent disconnects which I did not have with standard 4.2.2 ROM. Sometime it is hard to make it reconnect. (toggling BT off/on in easy case, reboot in harder)
This happened with multiple pairing partners (Smartwatch 2, Runtastic HRM, BoomBox).
And with BoomBox I'm also experiencing shuffled sound.
Any help or workaround very much appreciated.
Thx

Hello all
I recently put 4.2.11.1 on my G1. Now when I pair my headset with the phone. The audio is still transfered though my phone. Is this a known issue? is there a fix?
Tech Specs
Handset: G1 w/Cyanogen 4.2.11.1
Headset: Samsung WEP470
The headset worked fine with stock 1.6
The headset appears to pair fine, even verified the bluetooth 'button' is selected while in a call. Still audio goes through the handset and not the headset.
This really is my only issue I love cyanogen so far and hope that the Nexus One is cracked fairly soon after release.
I have the exact same issue with a parrot ck2100-bluetooth hansfree, also running latest cyanogen
I've had this issue and other Bluetooth audio problems under the last several CM releases (See http://code.google.com/p/cyanogenmod/issues/detail?id=819). When audio fails to go through the headset as you describe, turning the headset off and then on again often fixes it. If that doesn't help, then turning the headset off, toggling Bluetooth off and then on, and then turning on the headset usually works.
hrmm, hope this can get fixed I may have to abandon Cyanogen. I have to field call via bluetooth when I work from home.
usually this happens once a week for my bluetooth if i keep toggling BT on and off several times (usually do it if i forget my BT headset). easy fix. not a serious problem with me.
like the person above said: just turn toggle BT off then on, it should connect fine. if not, what i do is go through the settings and unpair them and pair, it should connect to the phone's audio. rinse and repeat.
not a serious bug that should keep anyone away from a certain rom... especially Cyans
Yall in the wrong forum ppl
If its an issue concerning Cy's rom go in his thread n follow the link to submite the issue.
If u trying to solve the problem go in Q&A and ask there or CY's thread.
This has nothing to do with development.
moved to Q&A
I am also having this issue.
I am having a parot c3100 and it pairs fine. But the sound is send to my phone instead of over my car audio system.
I tried bluetooth+headphone fix, but that doesn't help either.
It looks like every cyanogen (based) rom does have this issue ....
Does anybody have other ideas to get it fixed ?

i have the same problem as some other people do as well. There's no actual fix, afaik, although the gingerbread roms seemed to have fixed it for me.
You can ask in the appropriate Q&A for your ROM.

in his defense - although I could be wrong, I found that it has nothing to do with one particular rom. I had this problem on stock eclair and many of the custom froyo roms. Once I ran GB, the bluetooth was more reliable.
I'm having the same issue with stock 2.2.
I found a quicker method to fix it.
I downloaded a Bluetooth widget that toggles Bluetooth on and off - this seems to reconnect with my Jeep after the toggle:
com.curvefish.widgets.bluetoothonoff
I'm sure there are a ton of widgets out there; but, you may want to give that a try!
Thanks,
Shawn
I also ran into this as after chatting with Samsung support it turns out that the Galaxy line is set to never auto connect to any bt device even if the connection was already there.
I had trouble with disconnections from my car deck (jvc kw-xr810) when it was trying to share contacts. Once I set the phone to deny contact sharing and set up a separate phone book in the deck, it connects perfectly and never drops.
It's not a perfect solution if you want your whole address book access accessible from the car however.

I use tasker for this. I have a task setup that as soon as I turn my car off and BT disconnects, toggle BT off and back on. I noticed that as long as BT is toggled off and back on, it will connect and hold it the next time I use it.
although, I have since turned that task off because GB roms seemed to have fixed the BT issues with my car. I rarely have this problem since switching to gingerbread.
Captivate stock 2.2 intermittent bluetooth problems
I have a stock Captivate with 2.2 android and I'm using a Motorola S10-HD headset to listen to music while I'm at work.
The bluetooth will randomly disconnect causing the music to pause. Sometimes it will reconnect on it's own several seconds later and I am able to continue listening by clicking the play button on the headset. If it doesn't reconnect on it's own then I have to turn off bluetooth on the phone and turn it back on. This will cause it to reconnect but the problem may occur again.
I have switched to listening to music on my Galaxy Tab 10.1 and haven't had any problems so it must be the phone.
Is there anything that will correct the problem?
Is this a defect with my phone or just a design problem with all Captivate phones?
This is nothing new to my device, but am just now looking into it. I have it "installed" in my dash and use it to stream media through BT to my car stereo. Unfortunately, the BT on my n7 is very inconsistent. It works fine when connected, but will disconnect quite often. Sometimes it disconnects when I change tracks or when it changes tracks on it's own. Sometimes it disconnects when wi-fi drops. Sometimes it disconnects out of nowhere.
The fix is to turn BT off then back on. Obviously, this is a huge pain. I'm using Tasker to somewhat circumvent the issue although I'm sure I could use it to do more.
Any fixes out there for this? It's not my head unit in the car either. Every other device works flawlessly when connected through BT.
Specs:
4.2.2
SmoothROM v5.2
3.1.10 franco kernel

Well 4.2.2 did have issues with Bluetooth, I haven't experienced them in my n4 though.
For ****s and giggles you could try a 4.1.2 rom

Thanks for the reply. I had the issues with 4.1.2 as well...At least whichever version of android it shipped with.
Hello,
I am running existenz 7.0 but I have the same issues with existenz 6.5 or 6.6. or corresponding stock rom. I cannot remember having this issue before this version(existenz 6.0).
I have a sony smartwatch 2 paired all day long via bluetooth. No single issue during the day. I also have a car with bluetooth connectivity. I have issues with my phone (and not with other phones): bluetooth is randomly restarting and sometimes the phone itself reboots.
As it does not seems to be a rom related bug, and bluetooth is working fine with other devices (headset, watch) I think this could be application related. I have some crash dumps, but I am not able to find by myself where the issue could be located. Any help would be appreciated!
Here is a sample of last_kmsg when phone reboots: http://pastebin.com/4j6AX5mu
Thanks !
Hi
I'm experiencing an odd problem with my phone. I'm on Skydragon rom (android 4.4.4) and I'm experiencing the following problem (quoted from another site with the same issue):
I have wifi on all the time and working properly, no network drops. I connect my bluetooth headset. Wifi still seems to function properly. Only when the bluetooth is actually in use (ie. listening to music or taking a phone call on the headset) does it seem to disrupt my wifi connection. If I turn my bluetooth headset off, wifi will work perfectly again without any drops.
Does anyone have any insight into this problem? I have tried changing radios, hboot, the works and nothing works.
Cheers
