Hi,
I have an unlocked AT&T Moto X and switched to T-Mobile. Everything works fine but the phone still tries to connect to the AT&T WIFI hotspots. Where can I change this to the T-Mobile hotspots?
Stephan
In Wi-Fi settings tap on the network that's trying to connect and there should be an option to forget

I don't think you can find this in the wi-fi settings. It must be stored somewhere deeper in the system.
Stephan
Ok so then you meant the cellular network... Not Wi-Fi... Go to Settings -> More -> Mobile Networks -> Access Point Names -> delete AT&T's APN settings and add T-Mobile's APN settings

No I mean the wi-fi network. AT&T installs some kind of bloatware that automatically connects to their wifi Hotspot when they are in reach.
I believe the only way to remove bloatware is to root your device and manually uninstall whatever system app might be doing that... Or just install a custom ROM that works for multiple networks

Hi all,
I install CM7.2 yesterday and everything looks good. However, I find I cannot use mobile network in my GT-S5830.
I have tested the Internet by using Wi-Fi. It is working via Wi-Fi at home. Then I turn off Wi-Fi and only do data enable in Mobile networks, and nothing works. I don't know what's going on.
I have read a few article by useing app (HiAPN) to reset my APN but still not working?
Can anyone tell me how to get my mobile network back to work?
Thanks:crying:
PS: Location - Australia servers provider: vodaphone
Call your service provider and ask him for the apn settings. Simple.

Use the default android APN reset
Settings > Wireless & networks > Mobile networks > Access Point Names > (Options Menu) > Reset to default
This might work, if it does not, call your service provider

Calling the service provider is the dumbest thing to do,the APN settings are integrated in Android(apns-conf.xml) ,so they cant really be screwed up, calling the service provider is the same as saying "I flashed a custom rom,so my warranty is no longer valid i'm going to pay for repairs from now on" directly to them.
You can try to re-flash CM see if that helps tho.

Not really that way, you can ask for the APN settings directly, that does not mean you have an custom ROM... Just ask for APN, username, password, MCC, MNC and authentication method, simple like that but there are several APN apps in play store... Brazilian carriers have for example the APN Brasil app that can set all those settings automatically
We made the switch to T mobile yesterday from ATT. Currently using one N900T and one N900A. The N900A seems to lose the 4G / LTE icon in the home sometimes, yet the application Network Signal Info shows it connected to the same LTE tower as my N900T. The N900A gets DNS error message when the 4G/LTE icon is not present, yet Signal Info shows it connected to LTE. Anyone know what is going on please? Thanks.
I'm using it on TMobile but I always have 4G LTE so far. Been using it on TMobile for a week now. Do you have the right apn settings?

I will check when wife comes home, I only received my SP unlock code from cellunlocker.net this morning, so didnt get a chance to review APN settings.
All I did was enter unlock code then stick the sim card inside of the phone, compared it to my n900T and noticed her 4G icon not appearing sometimes.

I did the same exact thing and I unlocked mines from same website. It's not working for you because you need to fix your apn settings. That's why it didn't work for me at first also.

Will check thanks, I didn't have to change the APN on my N900T which was until yesterday on ATT network. It seemed to automatically change via the sim card swap.
Oh ok this is website link to the apn http://cellphoneforums.net/samsung-...vity-apn-data-roaming-more.html#axzz2kI4NjYRx

I am thinking the N900A does not have the menu to change :
From any of the home screens, press the "Menu" button
Go to "Settings"
Tap the "Connections" tab
Tap "More networks" > "Mobile networks" > "Network mode"
Select one of the following options:
LTE / WCDMA/GSM (auto connect)
WCDMA/GSM (auto connect)
WCDMA only
GSM only
You can't edit the 900A APN, but you can add an APN, then delete the old one.

I have found that if you put the T mobile SIM in, boot the phone up, let it get a data connection, then restart the phone again, it usually will pull it's correct APN settings from the carrier just fine.
i unlocked mine at cellunlocker.net and typed in the code and the tmo APN was set automatically and i have LTE, with no problems.

Same for me

I reviewed my wife's N900A with T mobile sim card in it, the APN was actually set to T Mobile but some fields were different to my N900T on T Mobile. I do not remember which lines to be honest, I just copied mine on to hers. I think the field APN type on hers was just set to "default" where as mine is set to "default, mms, supl" .
I also believe her APN was not "fast.t-mobile.com" .
Her N900A seems to be picking up good LTE now, just originally when I first powered it up after unlocking the LTE icon would come and go in the home. I was thinking perhaps the N900A stock does not have all the radios available?
how to enable lte option?
as my provider will lickly have my account activated for 4g before my phone is.
so this thry any way to enable the lte option i tried the hidden menu but when you try it it just resets back to wcdma(3g) and won't let me even scan for 4g so is they any way passed this.
three uk

My issue is that my account could get updated one month before my phone does.
So I want to know how to enable the lte setting or do I need a custom rom
Sim free

If your provider enables lte for you and your device supports it, you're ready to go.
Settings > Wireless & networks > More > Mobile Networks > Network Mode
Mines on 3 UK, but it's unbranded and unlocked.
3 have said that they will send out an ota update to enable 4G on their handsets.
There are a few cities already enabled, so if you can get somewhere that's already on, you might be able to test your handset.

Make sure you have an LTE simcard too!
I am using an unlocked ATT note 3 on tmobile. The phone was unlocked through eBay code and rooted through Kingo root. I've tried adding a new apn and changing the apn protocol like some have suggested. However my apn is not changeable. It is greyed out even when I add a new one.
My mms does not work if I have wifi on. It doesn't work sometimes when wifi is off. It just stays stuck on "sending" or "downloading" forever. Any suggestions on a easy fix?

Can you delete the grayed out APN? It definitely sounds like an APN problem.

It's the apn protocol field within the new apn that's grayed out. The one that says ipv4. I need to change it to ipv6 but can't change it.
I get mms on mine and didn't even touch apn when I put the sim card in.

You put an AT&T SIM into a TMobile phone, didn't change the APN, and you still get internet and MMS? Then someone has a server set up REALLY sloppy. A phone registered to AT&T's network should NOT be able to use TMobile's gateway or MMS server. I can understand the MMS server being set up loosely, but not the gateway.

I have an AT&T Note 3 that I unlocked onto T-MOBILE and I didn't have to touch apn settings at all for anything to work. Only thing I'm using is intelli3g for the automatic LTE, WCDMA/GSM switching.

My phone is stuck in 2g. Everytime I switch to 3g or 4g my signal will die. Does anyone know what is the fix for this?

add correct APN settings for your carrier in Settings -> Mobile data -> Access point names -> menu -> New APN
I did that but still no signal in 3g and 4g.

Go to dialer, type *#*#4636#*#*, go to set preferred network type and make sure you select an option that includes CDMA, LTE and Evdo
