Because you tried to bypass flashing Chinese boot.img and Chinese rom. Not everyone is that lucky. You need to flash the chinese boot.img then the Chinese rom and phone will boot up fine. Then return to recovery and flash any other rom you want mate. This is why I posted a thread to get this working guaranteed

You need to do a full wipe using bindroid full wipe script and then flash rom then wipe cache, dalvik and fix permissions then reboot. To guarantee a successful flash you need to flash boot.img then Chinese rom and allow it to boot up. After it boots up reboot into recovery to flash iscream.

Tell us what procedure you followed exactly, because we will probably be able to help you better once we know... Have you tried downloading the rom again because you might have got a corrupted download and that could be the reason for it not working...

First i wiped data and cache then I flashed chinese boot.img then i flashed*RCMix3d Runny Xl and booted to recovery and flashed BinDroid_SensationXL_TotalWipe lastly i flashed BinDroid I-Scream v1.0.zip
I dont think it is corrupted because it is 416 mb like the original file but i will download it again.
My suggestion would be...
1. Boot into fastboot and flash chinese boot.img
2. Go to recovery and flash chinese rom, let it boot up, once thats done boot into recovery again
3. Flash BinDroid Total Wipe then flash RCMix rom and let it boot up
4. Boot into recovery again and flash Total Wipe again
5. Flash I-Scream, once flashed, wipe cache, dalvik and fix permission just like shingers said
That should work, a lot of people try to get away without flashing the chinese boot.img and chinese rom and then hit problems later on. If its done right you should have no problems at all flashing any rom. We don't.....
Some people are lucky enough not to have to do it that way and they get away with it, but not everyone can, so thats why me and shingers always tell people to do it that way because its guaranteed...

I already did this. How do i know i installed chinese boot.img successfully, because it now hangs at RcMix3d too when i flashed bindroid total wipe before flashing it
It should say in command prompt that you have flashed boot.img successfully

looks like the trouble is from my phone. I will flash any other rom.
Thanks for your time.
i reinstalled the zip file and it finally worked
sorry for disturbance
i did every thing possible but i still have hanging XL
If you flashed the Chinese boot.img and rom then rebooted you should not be hanging mate. Start again
1. Flash Chinese boot.img
2. Flash Chinese rom by anzhi
3. Reboot and complete setup
4. Return to recovery
5. Bindroid total wipe
6. Flash rom of your choice
7. Wipe cache and dalvik and battery and fix permissions
Reboot

1. flash boot :fastboot flash boot boot.img
the chinese rom is : runnymede_ax918_111511_101713.zip
and the rom i choose is Bindrois 2.5
but still hanging
what if i relock the device : fastboot oem lock
then try to give it RUU rom ?

OK relock bootloader then flash ruu possibly 1.05.404 or device specific then unlock and root then recovery then boot.img then Chinese rom and let that boot up. You have to boot into Chinese rom. Once done back to recovery bindroid wipe then rom then wipe cache dalvik batterry and fix permissions. Should be fine

If you boot into the boot loader from recovery it works right?

Hello
At first I would like to admit that I'm an iOS user and don't know a lot about rooting and so on, but despite this fact I've decided to root Sensation XL and install 4.2.2 on it (just for fun).
I've done everything on my Mac using Terminal. First I've unlocked the Bootloader and than installed Clockworkmod. Than I realised that I have to root it first. After finding one thread I've found the chinese boot.img and flashed it into my Sensation XL. It was really quick but when I've rebooted the device than it has just vibrated and screen gone black.
Is there any possibility to restore the device (I don't care about data, because there wasn't anything installed) and make it work?
Also I can access the recovery mode. Maybe there is a possibility to install something or flash etc?
Hope you will help
Flash the latest superuser and binaries, then flash a new ROM, its probably a boot.IMG that's incompatible with the ROM, or if your using evervolv make sure your device is s-off an flash lexmazters ltx (latex) kernel, but make sure you flash the jellybean build!
If i helped Hit That Thanks Button! Sent via RickDeeStyle$
Recovering
Ok first off, to clarify you do not need to root the phone if you have already flashed clockwork mod recovery, root is required if you arent flashing a new rom only if you want to customize the default rom.
delete that boot.img from you computer, stick to the ones available on this forum so we know what is wrong if anything does go wrong...
turn the phone off, take the battery out and wait for 30 seconds, then put it back in, holding vol- down,
press and hold power till a white screen with writing appears,
now we know your phone is not completley bricked
if you have successfully flashed cwm like you said in your post, use volume keys to navigate to recovery option, cwm should come up
now in cwm use volume and power keys to navigate, the power button being (select option) volume being (up-Down)
now select mounts then Mount_usb_storage the one at the bottom, download a rom of your choosing from here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1344 android development
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2190839 this ones jellybean
download and copy it to the root of your phones storage/ which has been mounted as a device to your pc/mac
now select unmount storage and then go back...
then install rom zip from sdcard, choose zip, then select the rom you downloaded and then choose yes, cwm will install your new rom wait for it to finnish and reboot, (initial boot will take A Good 2-5 minutes depending on the rom you chose
A Thankyou Would be nice lol
Actually I tried to mount the USB Storage in CWM but it failed. What than?
IFK if its possible to transfer files through fast boot but you can via ADB, download an ad set, connect your phone, open comment prompt or terminal , navigate to adb and execute 'adb devices' and if it picks up your phone then you safe!
If your device was picked up flash cwm recovery, then download a ROM and put in in our ADB folder and execute 'adb push nameoffile.zip /sdcard/' then flash the file!

A couple of months back I flashed my HTC One to a GPE Rom and then updating using OTA to Android 4.3 which was working fine.
Upon finding this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2356654
I wanted to flash to 4.4 using it. I followed instructions and it said it installed fine.
However I'm no stuck in a boot loop.
I get the "HTc quietly brilliant" screen and then it reboots, and this loops.
I can hold down vol button and then select recovery but as soon as I do it reboots and I cannot get into recover. I've tried a few adb commands like adb reboot recovery etc. and it just says device not found. Any tips?

Before doing the flashing I was bootloader unlocked and was using clockwork mod if that is what you're asking.
You flashed a custom Google edition Rom or your converted your phone to Google edition (change cid, stock Rom,stock recovery) ?

I didn't change anything, just flashed a Rom to make it a GPE. I just installed clockwork mod and flashed the rom.
this is the name of the rom I used
bigxie_m7_GPe_JWR66V_odexed-signed
Maybe the 4.4 you flashed isn't compatible. I suggest you flash back that Rom or restore your nandroid backup if any

Reflash cwm or twrp. You need the latest version.
Then flash again ARHD 5.1 Rom and make sure you full wipe.

Same here. I even dunno how to flash a new recovery...i don´t have any access to the phone - only hboot...
Boot to bootloader. Choose fastboot and then connect your phone to PC.
Next step is to download the latest version of your favorite custom recovery and place it inside the fastboot folder. Open a command window and write fastboot devices to check that fastboot is working and then write the following:
Fastboot flash recovery filename.img

I´m not able to mount/unmount system with theTWPR 2.6.3.0...but it´s the only recovery that works. I couldn´t even find the right cwm recovery...damn...
I'm was having the exact same problem, and I believe it's because you're S-ON like I am (says in the first green line of the bootloader)
Problem is try as I might (rum runner, Moonshine, revone) I cannot for the life of me get my phone S-OFF
Rum runner tells me there is no adb connection to the device, yet moonshine has no problem there and it's driving me nuts.
Until you can get S-OFF (and if you manage it let me know how) you'll more than likely have bootloop issues with that ROM

This one seems to be proper :
C:\Program Files\Minimal ADB and Fastboot>adb push Android_Revolution_HD-One_4.1
_GE.zip /sdcard/Android_Revolution_HD-One_4.1_GE.zip
2282 KB/s (452221989 bytes in 193.456s)
..but after that,,,unable to open the zip file..and the best - the zip file has gone!!
Hmm..with TWPR I´m not able to mount the sdcard..maybe thats the failure...

If you just want to root your device you can unlock your bootloader with htc_dev's way. After that you can flash a recovery for your device and you flash a Superuser/SuperSU zip to root your official rom or you could also change your rom with a custom one.
** If you just unlock your bootloader with htc_dev unlock you will be an S-ON (Security ON) user. One of the disadvantages you are going to deal with, every time you want to change your rom from recovery will be to flash your kernel manualy from your bootloader. When you are in the hboot and you have connected your phone to PC you should be able to see a "fastboot usb".Then you have to extract the kernel (boot.img) (from the rom you are going to flash with your recovery) into the folder you have fastboot and you use the command fastboot flash boot boot.img to flash the kernel into your device. **
But if you realy want to unlock your device and you remove all the restrictions from it you have to (radio) S-OFF it.After you S-OFF your device you won't have to flash manually the kernels for the custom roms you are installing on it by using the fastboot flash command.
To make S-OFF posible you have to be at least rooted with htc_dev's way or to have a temproot so you be able to make the S-OFF procedure.
A very useful guide for S-OFF is this:
Runnymede S-OFF
You can also check this out:
http://unlimited.io/runnymede.htm
They are a plenty of recoveries you can choose.I would suggest you to use a 4EXT recovery (because it has smartflash option/for S-ON users) but I couldn't find an .img for Sensation XL.(If you root your phone somehow you can install a 4EXT .apk and you see if there is one for your phone.)
An other very good choice would be a CWM recovery. You can find and download the latest .img for Sensation XL from here.
A third nice choice (that I have never use) is a TWRP recovery. You can download the latest .img from here.
** After you download the recovery of your choice you have to put it in the same folder as the fastboot is and you run the command fastboot flash recovery {your recovery}.img.(The proccedure is similar as for the kernel flashing). **
** If you want to root your official rom you can download the latest (stable) SuperSU flashble zip from here and you flash it from your recovery. **
