hi my friends
look at this :
http://www.xperiablog.net/2014/04/15/some-xperia-sp-owners-report-of-flickering-screens-after-update-to-android-4-3/
we need help :crying: can anyone help me to fix this bug ?
The 4.3 update has two big problems:
1: Screenflickering (according to parasense and some others it is a kernel issue?)
2: RAM
Both problems are in some way software related. However I never encounterd the Screen issue ( ) so thank God for that. I believe this is more of a hardware issue but I am not sure......
The RAM issue is a bigger issue and Doomlord is trying to fix it (see his DoomKernel thread) We are forced to wait until Sony pushes an update.. Which will be here soon see this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2516663

Greetings everyone,
I have a quite dumb question, since I've seen many users trying to have T ROMs on their TXs - is it possible to boot a TX firmware or ROM on the Xperia T? Has anyone tried that? The main reason is the color saturation. I know it's probably 99% hardware problem, but I've entered Service Menu and checked Display. And it's perfect! Cear, pure colors, with deep and real black.
It's very frustrating to have that view problem, with dimming effect or what the heck it is...
When in Album (with BE activated) the differences are almost none between TX and T (T even has more clearity and sharpness, with some extra brightness).
By the way, I have already modified values in pre_hw_config.sh... Even installed an app that filters the screen (and managed to get rid of that autoadjustment effect!) but I'm still unsatisfied with the overall saturation, those washed colors in the UI... Some background color schemes seem to be painted, with distinct shades clearly seen (Album art background color, i.e.). That's awfull.
If the screen is differently calibrated - then why in the Service Menu the colors are excelent and almost the same as in TX?
That's why I think that are chances that 1% could be ROM or Kernel's fault. A software thing...
I cannot guarantee you these words are true but I've read somewhere that somebody did flash TX ROM on his T.
Except from other problem fixes, he also discovered that the WiFi signal reception got really better.
So I think nothing wrong could happen. We know a lots of cases when T ROM was flashed to TL or at least T ROM on TX (the only wrong thing then was broken XPERIA lighting). I think everything will be ok
My phone is T. Xperia T.
Thanks, now you maked me even more curious about this thing. I don't think something really bad will happen, like not booting at all, not being recognised by SUS or Flashtool etc. I hope so...
Maybe I'll try to flash tomorrow a stock TX ROM - and then report (also if there's a screen quality/behaviour changed). :cyclops:
FLASHED
I managed to flash TX firmware. Everything worked just fine, phone booted without problems...
The bad thing: does not vibrate at all and the camera is messed up it's upside down, it won't focus and when tries to capture - freezes.
The very good part: THE SCREEN IS SUPERB, NO MORE DIMMING, AUTO-ADJUSTMENT, NO MORE BRIGHTNESS OR CONTRAST FADING it's unbelievable! The contrast is much better, no more washed out colors... I knew it was a software issue!!!
Now... I don't know if it's just a kernel problem or not. I need unlocked bootloader to flash TX kernel, right? With LB and Flashtool won't work (by frashing TX completely and flash over T firmware with kernel "excluded"...)
Help, help, help!

Do you have an idea? What should I do next?
You don't need unlocked BL to flash STOCK Xperia TX kernel. Stock kernel is signed by Sony and it will be accepted by your phone.
I don't know anything about fixing these problems, I'm no developer at all but I was thinking about creating a thread with some requests for TX libs and system files (WiFi etc)
Okay, I'll check if I could flash TX kernel over T original ROM somehow... And see if the kernel is the main problem of that annoying fade-in-out effect, washed colors etc.
I recently got Xperia SP (less than day old) and upgraded it to Jelly Bean 4.3. However due to issues such lag and such I decided to install customs rom. I chose MIUI. Unfortunately due to my newer status I am not directly able to report this issue in the orginial SP MIUI dev thread
I encountered a problem with screen on MIUI build 4.3.7 installed from imanesaurus . I have attached a video file which shows the screen flickering issue. It is not really a whole screen-wide flicker, it's just localized flicker with varying magnitude of flicker. It seems this only happens on grey color as white and black seem to be fine. I do not know if this is a bug or hardware issue. From experience, I know cheap TN panel do this primarily on screen when it's producing grey color.
Has anybody encountered this issue? Is this a hardware issue or bug? I will also try different rom (FXP) and also see if going back to stock rom makes any difference.
Model Number: C5303
Android Version:4.2.2. JDQ39E
MIUI Version: 4.3.7
Thanks in advance guys.

hey buddy this bug is widely known it seems to be a hardware problem but it is not as it is not present in 4.1.2 hope sony will fix it in the new version that has been certified ! :fingercrossed: so if sony will fix then developers will fix it to
Are you using auto brightness? If so then this is the cause. On stock Sony 4.3 and even in 4.1 I have this problem. Sony has to create a fix for this
Some days ago I upgraded my xperia v from 4.1.2 to 4.3
But a problem accured at video recorder
I have taken a picture from a video that I have recorded by my phone, so you can see
when I downgrade to 4.1.2 the problem disappear.
and when I upgrade it to 4.3 the problem begin again.
I also flash CM10.2 and 10.1 , the problem accur again.
Any one else has this problem?
When I flashed LT25_9.2.A.1.210 .ftf (andriod 4.3) I saw the problem
But I flashed this ROM: [ROM][APR22][Ver2] SIMPLE IS PERFECT: XPERiA V LiTE JB 4.3 .210 Stock Based
that is based on stock LT25_9.2.A.1.210 ROM and I didn't see the problem!!
Can any one say why this problem accur,
I want to flash cm 10.2, but if I do that the problem will back again!
What problem are you talking about?

I believe you will see this striping only when there are low light conditions. This together with the noises that are recorded in the background to what I read are hints to graphic processing system is working at it's limits.
I have my own theory abt this condition. 4.12 was commissioned so that with a few add-on apps loaded it will just run smooth and problem-free. If users added a lot of stuff, they started complaining abt lags. 4.3 has higher demand on resources. It comes with lags and video problems for many.
This would also explain why the 4.3 Light ROM as mentioned above does not have this prob. Probably after you added a number of things, the same issues would return.
your problem is blinking, greenline etc in low light camera .. hehe
uncheck NFC (setting-wireless & networks). Problem solved!:good:
Like in thread name, can anyone make it?
So after i installed 12.1.A.1.205 and tested it i have noticed the following...
PROS
FLICKERING SCREEN PROBLEM FINALLY FIXED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bravia engine fixed
Memory management problems are fixed
Smooth UI and good touch response
Perfect gaming (tested asphalt 8 and real racing 3 not even a spike)
Better and more stable wi-fi
Overheating fixed
Battery drain fixed
LED does not stay on while we're on call
Antutu score 23000++++
Thats the true performance SP deserves
CONS (Bugs)
Sometimes screen goes slowly dark-yellow it takes about 3-4 sec untill it goes almost full dark then back to normal again.. (thats a serious bug in my opinion)
Uninstall bar not fixed (letters are almost behind bar)
Some voip apps like Viber are not working (on 4.1.2 was working)
Proximity sensor reacts slow to turn on screen when phone is moved from ear (about 1-2 sec)
Big thanks to developers for great FW... thats the perfect and usable 4.3 for me
If the review is found to be informational.. Hit THANKS.. :good:
Hey guys i need some suggestions regarding upgrading my xperia z3+ to nougat as i am now running mm without any issues ?
Hope u guys help me in this ?
I personally wont upgrade until Xposed is available, not worth it for me without that.
yes, its a good update.
Yes and No.
Reasons to updrade:
- Better UI (smoother too)
- Multi-window support
- Better STAMINA Mode functionality
Reasons not to upgrade:
- Poor camera quality (touch to focus does not really work that well, overall image quality is a hit and miss)
- Low volume from speakers (even more so when playing videos from YouTube)
- Some CPU cores are allegedly turned off
- Image enhancement takes a while to kick in when browsing photos
It would have been a definite yes had Sony managed to bring over at least the same level of performance for both camera and sound quality in the Nougat update. Just my opinion anyway.
Thx bro i will wait until we got fixes ?☺
Hello , for me its YES! .. i feel faster, better batery, camera in low ligth, stamina mode wasome, in general better than MM, heat
got better.
Can i update my z3+ now to latest nougat. 33... Is everything fixed? ??
Wait to the next update, .33 is better, etc. speakers are fixed, youtube application dont show overheat sign, but they dont fix x reality rendering, its take about 7-10 secs, in contacts app scrolling is little laggy..
