As you can see, the connector on the right is broken. What part should be replaced?
I bought this because another connector from the glass was broken, too.

That appears to be for the LCD, so you will need both your new digitizer and new LCD
That being said I believe there are two different LCDs for this phone and they aren't 100% compatible so make sure you get the right one.
Not having done this my self on this phone (but on many others) I can't say for sure what to look for but I believe there was an amoled and LCD variant and the sticker on the screen should indicate which one to get. But I suggest to Google for your answer

Would that be the correct LCD?

If you can get into fastboot still, which I would assume if you put together the phone while broken this is still possible run
fastboot getvar all
And check your microp version

What? Could the phone with this broken connector?
You can't see the display, but fastboot should still work

I've put everything together but nothing is booting up and felt no vibration.

Does charge. Red to yellow to green. Still no response.
Did your power button work before all this? Have you tried the battery trick to turn it on? Search "broken power button" here and you will learn how to boot it without power button
Then just get adb and fastboot to work and you'll be fine

Ok, got it. I did the batter trick and the menu lights and track led turned on and felt the vibration. My computer also recognized the phone and installed the drivers automatically. However the screen has been black all the time.
Good now setup adb/fastboot on PC if you haven't already, you need to get phone into bootloader and run some commands from PC
fastboot getvar all
Then you will know what screen to buy

Today I noticed that the power button does not work because when I can not unlock, but to remove and replace the battery automatically turns on what I'm thinking is that the power button got stuck
any idea?
Going to need alot more info. Where you running stock or custom rom?
Sent from my Captivate using XDA Premium App
im not running a rom, i stay in stock rom.
all started when I received a text message and read the message, when I wanted to block it and not work the power button. I have noticed that sometimes it works with a few strokes with my fingers but it shows me if I turn off the phone. I believe that the power button is stuck
Sounds like a warranty exchange

when I put the battery automatically turns on, but if I keep pressing the 3 buttons combo I can enter recovery mode, but don't works power button in this mode =/
I'd try an clean around the button and if that works
I am not sure thus will do anything but if you can't get your phone running at all you can try to Odin flash stock to see if maybe it clears the problem. If you cab get into recovery then the power button works for something

Inzombie, what exactly did you do? I have been having the same problem for quite some time...I was able to get into download mode using a program I found on the internet, and I flashed back to stock but the power button is still messed up, it doesn't work at all. What exactly did you do
i know this is an old topic but I have the same problem. I got this phone from a friend and now I cant use the power button. I have taken it apart twice now trying to fix it with no luck. I know it isnt the rom. The button is "stuck" but it still clicks. I know it is stuck because it will never turn off. Once battery is in it turns on, and for 3 button recovery, I only need to hold the vol rocker.
COULDN'T FIND A THREAD FOR THIS!
Power + Up & Down Volume Buttons with USB plugged in
I saw it too...was having difficulty rooting last night (drivers not loading thanks to several sets of HTC/Samsungs loaded on this lappie), and was surprised to see it! Then I loaded Samsung drivers for the N4....all very odd! LOL!
Isn't it just power plus both volume buttons, did usb plugged in really have to be done?

Has anyone else had trouble doing simulated battery pull? Ive done it before but when I just went to try it, it gets to 1 sec and doesnt reboot. Even held 30 secs longer and nothing. Anyone have any idea why that is? Will it only allow simulated battery pull when phone freezes?

I had to have the sensor in front of my laptop when I was doing stuff in the dark.

Weird how the proximity sensor can effect the powering on/off of a device. Never had that probem before. Then again Ive only owned one other phone without a removable battery. Had the htc 4g lte for a short time before getting this htc one. Is this just a software "glitch" that could be fixed with an software update or something in the htc one hardware?
Sent from my HTCONE using xda app-developers app
Sad part is, wasnt long ago I read somewhere on xda how someone was told to do the bright light when they couldnt get their phone to power on and it worked. Never dawned on me to try that to restart it..well simulate battery pull anyways. Never seems to restart (maybe Im just impatient lol) without pressing power to get it to boot back up.

You just aim the light sensor but the speak to a bright light and press n hold power?

Yep if you want to do a simulated battery pull or have trouble doing it or getting your phone to power on. Just hold phone (sensor part anyways) under bright light and it should work

Check the Desire C forums for installing drivers on anything on Windows 7 upwards, or if available use Windows XP
Have you tried to enter recovery/boot?
Hold Volume- and Power button and you should get some feedback (either it enters boot or nothing will show up)
If there's no response try without the battery in and plug in USB, even that I think should get some response, if not try key press and then plug into USB (plugging USB in first will try to charge battery immediately and ignore expresses)
LED doesn't really show up much even when charging, I think I've seen mine lit 2-3 times.

If there's no response trying to get any response (even just using No Battery, USB and power on) then it's probably damaged or bricked, take it back because it'll be the unit itself not the battery

Before you said I bought a new battery and found out today it didn't work. Is there anyway I can fix it because I'd love to start using the HTC Desire C? Hope someone can help. Thanks
Sent from my C6903 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I wouldn't even consider it unless you have the use of JTAG and a fair bit of programming/electronics knowledge and to be honest, if it's not at least lighting the screen OR vibrating when it boots up (if it does boot at all ) I'd stick with taking it back and getting your money back, it could cost you more fixing it than getting a working second hand unit
Ok thanks for your help, I'll have to try and take it back. Thanks

Last night, I let my phone battery drain all the way down because I couldn't charge it at work. I figured I'd just plug it in when I got home. When I get home, it goes onto that blank battery charging screen with the orange LED flashing but when i try to boot it, it just goes back to that, i let it sit for a while then tried again with no luck. i let it sit over night and it would still just boot into that screen. i put it into bootloader mode and hit reboot from there and it would just go back to that screen again, I can get it into recovery and it will stay there for a while (on the charger) but it doesn't show they amount of battery like twrp usually does. basically, the phones acting like there isnt a battery in there at all. Please help because I have tried everything i can think of.
