Are you talking about the 2013 Nexus 7, or the 2012 Nexus 7 Rev 2 (Rev 1 came out in July and Rev 2 came out in November).
I have a 32Gb 2012 Nexus 7 Rev 2 that I would be willing to sell for $120 (+ shipping; US only).

Not that much difference. Rev1 came in 8Gb & 16Gb sizes, Rev2 came in 16Gb & 32Gb sizes. I've also heard that Rev2 had a better memory controller to fix some of the memory lag issues in Rev1, but I have no proof of this.
So, if it's a 8Gb model, it's a Rev1, if it's a 32 GB model, it's Rev2. But 16Gb could be either. You would have to verify a purchase date of after Nov. 2012

Google officially announced Nexus 4, updated Nexus 7, Nexus 10 and Android 4.2

Where is the Nexus 10 pre-order link!?
NExus 7 32GB with mobile data for 299$ is killer price!:good:
Ok, 32GB with 3G/4G for $299, very good, might get that since I already got a 16GB Nexus 7 (first gen), but wtf, no hardware changes? I was waiting for something new other than more HDD space. I will wait out a month or two to see if the screen lift problem persists.
Finally google music coming to europe!
Man the nexus 4 is a letdown. No LTE? The thunderbolt was released a year and a half ago. Son, I am disappoint.

The LTE versions will most likely come. They'll just be bastard children like the Nexus S 4G on Sprint.

Where did you read that there's no 4G-LTE? Or did you surmise this from not seeing mention of it being included. You may be right, but I'd be shocked if they omitted LTE from a phone this new.

EDIT: The Verge is reporting that there's no LTE on Nexus 4 (and explains why). http://www.theverge.com/2012/10/29/3569688/why-nexus-4-does-not-have-4g-lte

According to LeeLaa (read up), we get it Nov 13.
Meanwhile, I am skeptically, cynically contemplating the possibility that this is actually true.... Then again, if an N7 with no hardware changes is available Nov. 13 with JB 4.2 onboard, it does makes sense that we'll be able to get JB 4.2 for existing N7's around the same time.

New Nexus 7 8gb in stores.

Hey guys,
just want you to know that here in italy new nexus 7 8gb build date 03/2013 are being sold at 199€.
Knowing that the 32gb version is for 249€, i am wondering if google made any hardware upgrade/fix in this new 8gb version to justify its price ( the 16gb version, no more available, was sold for 199€ as well till a week ago)
Thank u all for your kindness.

I'm in the same boat. Nearly bought an 16gb off swappa for $110, but thought its best I just wait it out.
I played with the N7 and comparing it to my N4, I just wouldn't be happy with the performance the 1st gen N7 has.

I have owned mine for a little over an hour. Got the 16 GB model at staples (in-store). With coupon code.

I had to get a 32GB. I have a 16GB already but wanted more Space and a used 32GB still goes for ~$150-200 used. For a few bux more with code I get a NEW one. I got a buyer lined up for my 16GB so I recoup a little cost there. IF the rumors of the $300 price for the new N7 is true I think I'll keep the 1st Gen N7 until the 3rd Gen comes out. I still have a couple of Tegra games so having a non-Tegra device is a waste. I like to have options.

Possible Nexus 8

Hi, yesterday I went to Staples to buy the Nexus 7 32gb for $169. I asked the Staples employee if the Nexus 7 discontinued? He said yes we are getting the Nexus 8. So I don't know if there is truth to that, but he answered pretty sure. And it felt like they already have some stock for the release date. Is it possible we can get a Nexus 8 instead of 7. I asked 7 or 8 he answered Nexus 8.
I found this also
http://www.idigitaltimes.com/articles/18724/20130709/nexus-8-release-date-specs-price-rumors.htm
Could be a nexus 8 at october. But is possible also a nexus 7.

I dont know. Maybe they have stock? I asked him that( so the nexus 7 is discontinued? Becuse you guys getting the newer model? And he responded yes Nexus 8) thats all. He might be stupid and just guess if its 7 then the new model is 8? I dont know.

Yes, I bought mine almost 2 weeks early at Staples.
Just a thought but, Maybe he was confused and assumed that the new one would be called Nexus 8 because it comes after 7. I think it's safe to say with all the leaks that 7" is what is replacing it. I honestly don't think they'd do a 7" AND 8". That would be a VERY bad idea and would cause confusion and kill sales. I think it's cafe to say that Google will keep the 3 Device setup but try out a couple of others (rumors of Game console (like OUYA) and a watch have been floated).
I think Google would keep this information more private and request it not be shared with employees. Like said, it is probably the Nexus 7 Second Generation.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk HD
You should go back to the same guy and ask if he has any idea when its coming out.
He probably didn't realize the 7 meant a 7 inch screen size and thought the 8 was the second generation like iPhone 4,4s,5...
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda app-developers app
I am surprised he didn't say Nexus 7s or something, but you can never be sure.
Well well never know for sure until we get some leaks

I'm sure in nexus 7 2nd generation at october.

Yeah we've had some "leaks" but still don't know a thing.
I've heard some many "involved" people say August. Retailers wouldn't be clearing stock months in advanced. iDevices don't sale until another one is announced, give or take a week.
Apple is at least more structured with their release dates. Google makes it hard. Nexus phones can be released anywhere from September to December.
