Yep, I'm (unwittingly) using a Moto X that was originally for Puerto Rico. I got impatient and basically flashed another 4.4 on it. If you're up to it, you can unlock your bootloader

3 weeks por less, chill out, here in mexico we have an extra issue... When any firm update is going to be released, first the operator has to review and accept it.

Use either rsdlite or mfastboot to flash it but just beware if things go bad you can not downgrade, so as a rule , flash only your specific carriers sbf firmware
Sent on my Gummy running Lenoto X
The original carrier of this phone was Nextel and comes whit 4.2.2
When i flashed the 4.4 doesnt wrong happened.
Im scared bro, now i don't know if i should install 4.4.2 . if is not to much to ask ¿can you bring me some light of this?

Guys, i dont want to be a pain in the a**, so before of everything i just want to thank you again.
I readed both post, but im still scared.
This is my actual situation:
1.- I dont have any 4.4.2 SFB backup of my specific carrier because its Nextel, and doesnt even exist on the Motorola Firmware Page.
2.- Im on 4.4 (Retail Brasil) whit the modem of T-mobile (because when i flashed the Retail Brasil i lost all the signal).
3.- I readed that the XT1053 its for T-Mobile US, Dev Ed and i flashed a brasilian! Really im going crazy.
¿What would you do?...
1.- Flash the 4.4 of T-Mobile and stay there.
2.- ¿Flash another 4.4.2?
Damn, my stomach hurts...

So don't flash any sbf , chances if you lose your signal you'll have an expensive coffee table ornament. Youre better off flashing kangakat ROM and stay away from flashing sbf firmware unless your carrier specific sbf firmware is available

Thank you brother.
Before of that i will do this (its my last try):
I will flash the T-Mobile 4.4, if everything works fine I will upgrade to 4.4.2 of the same company (I founded ).
But, if I flash 4.4 and I see something wrong I will stay there and use only customs.
So one las question : In theory... ¿can I change between 4.4 of x carrier to another 4.4 of x carrier?

hey guys..i have a question..i have an unlockable moto x .. the 58 variant..and i wanted to know if i can upgrade to 4.4.2 an then unlock my bootloader..because the phone is really new and i dont want to lose my garanty yet..but i want to upgrade to 4.4.2..it is possible to upgrade to 4.4.2 and then unlock the bootloader and root? thanks in advance
You mean to eventually pay for the unauthorized unlock & in the mean time be on 442. No problem but one, the Guy who has the codes may not last as long as your warranty!
Nono.. My device is unlockable via motorola site.. I checked that.. But didnt unlock yet

Yes, you can update to 4.4.2... and unlock anytime you wish.

As long as you are sure you can get the unlock code from Moto directly, you can unlock the bootloader when you are ready. Once you do unlock, you can root any version rom that is on your phone.
Just keep in mind, if you want to root & disable write protection BEFORE you are ready to unlock the bootloader, the only options are SlapMyMoto/MotoWpNoMo which do NOT work with Android 4.4.2. (i.e. if you want root without unlocking bootloader, do not upgrade to 4.4.2).
Hi guys, I want to flash this 4.4.3 T-MO from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x/development/rom-stock-flashable-t-mobile-t2773675 but i'm from Argentina and i don't know if the carrier can brick my xt1058 or what. I'm using that ROM. I have a Rogers XT1058 Canada and it works. Just make sure you back up just in case. I have no problems and I didn't have to flash a different baseband .
Sent from my fingers to your face
I used many roms on my 2 "mexicans" moto x. I'm with Nextel and telcel carriers.... And I flashed brasilian retail roms, T-Mobile usa roms, movistar roms etc.... And no problem.
By the way....you can flash xt1058 rom on xt1053 variant and vice versa .

Go to the Sprint HTC One Development Forum and find a ROM you want to flash. Each ROM's developer should provide instructions on how to flash their ROM. Also, only flash ROM's that are made for your Sprint phone or you are asking for trouble.
I tried flashing revolution on my sprint m7. And it softbricked now its running good. My question is, can i fkash a european rom or should i stick with the sprint roms
