Hi,
I have a problem with gt-i8190. It has a gesture lock, which I've forgotten.
So I thought I could wpie data/factory reset, but I cant't enter Recovery Mode.
I tried this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...&highlight=cwm (the 2mb part)
While flashing with ODIN, it seemed to work. Odin succeeded.
But on S3 Mini Screen I got this error message: "movi-write card_status:2 ...."
After Reboot, nothing changed.
Phone boots up normally. Gesture lock is still there.
Same happens if I flash a whole stock rom via ODIN. I tried this stock ROM: HOME_I8190XXAMG4_I8190OXAAMG4_1332988_REV00_user_l ow_ship.tar.md5
After flash, nothing changed.
Maybe someone is willing to help?
Thanks in advance.

after several attempts of entering the wrong password you should get a google password recovery
if not
then try loading up twrp or cwm using odin and try wiping like that
Hi,
I have similar problem.

No luck.
Still getting "card_status:2 (xxx) start (xxxx)"
And the phone is "freezed":
- it boots up, let me whatever I want...
- but NO changes are saved.
I tried to upload lots of ROMs (officials and not) with ODIN, but allways the same: the flash seems to be protected.
I even tried the USB jig, but nothing.
Any idea?

Try the full 2-file firmware together with pit-file and re-partition ticked in odin.
If that won't work I guess your nand is damaged.

Same result. It seems to be write-protected.
The only file it seems to admit (without showing the Red message "card_status:2..." ) is PARAM.LFS .
Any other file it is not written :crying:

Hey guys, i need some help, its rather urgent.
I was trying to do a lag fix. It said it didn't work, and proceeded to restart.
went to the i9000 screen for 3 second, and just kept restating. can't get into recovery anymore. i got into download mode, and tried to flash back to stock with odin. odin said everything worked, but its still stuck in the same boot screen loop.
Any ideas? Is it the internal SD card? It is a bell i9000.
Thank you in advance.
Most dedinately the infamous corrupt SD issue. You're on 2.2 which is why it loops at the i9000m screen. If you flash 2.1 it will get to the glowing s screen then the screen will go black and it will stay like that.
You need to take it in for repair. There are many threads on this issue and other user experiences with the repair process

well, i was on a 2.2 rom. and i had just reflashed, because i was starting to get a lot of force close errors. So i reflashed. all went well. when i went to do the lag fix, it said, can't find file ( don't remmber what its called, something like bh1h1.. something like that.. which most posts say is SD card failure) then went to reboot. it shows the GALAXY S i9000 screen, then reboots again. i can;t get into recovery anymore. i can get into download mode. i try flashing with odin Odin says everything is flashed and that it worked, giving me no errors, but the phone is still stuck in the same boot loop. Hi Guys.
Got an I9305 here, I rooted it (apparently fine), then (via recovery) flashed a cusom ROM, rebooted but it stayed on the I9305 screen. Now I can't get to recovery, it will go to download but I can detect it via heimdall, and it still wont boot. Have I killed it or is there anything I can do to resurect it? I've been searching the forums here for ages, but I'm just going in circles with getting any closer to a solution.
Ideas?

If you can get download mode then try flashing a stock ROM via Odin.
You're still in luck when you have download mode, when you don't have that or recovery then you start worrying.
PS: don't forget you have a I9305 when searching for a stock ROM.

I can get to download (the only place I can get), but neither Odin or Heimdall will connect to it, they both just sit there as if the phone isn't plugged in.

Then you don't have the correct drivers installed
Have you used Odin/Heimdall before?

OK got it connect now, I've used Heimdall several times on my I9300 without problem so I think it's a hardware problem. I flashed a new recovery and can now get to that when needed but it still wont let me boot any ROMs I flash, it just hangs at the I9305 screen. Is there anyway I can reset the custom binary count from Heimdall/Odin or recovery so I can send it back to get replaced/fixed?
Try this before doing anything drastic, It's stock but rooted but do it through Odin.

These roms you've been flashing, do they contain a kernel? Hanging on boot screen can be indicative of a couple of things, firstly, if you have the wrong kernel, fix that. Secondly, try clearing data and cache, this can work wonders. Thirdly, if ADB is currently enabled, try bringing up a shell through it ("adb shell", note: not in recovery obviously, as this mode is already working fine) and type "dmesg", this will print out what the kernel is currently doing, usually if something is erroring you will see the same text re-appear multiple times. If the kernel initiation gets stuck in a loop it will literally never get out of it so that would be a good way to see that, could be a piece of hardware is damaged. Since you can get to recovery I reckon you should be able to mount system/data in that and enable ADB in android if it isn't already, I don't know how to do this though.
Good luck!
Something that's helped me before in this situation was:
Go to mounts and storage in recovery and format System, Data and Internal storage.
Then download stock firmware and Flash via Odin.
This pretty much wipes your phone of everything and gives you a fresh install
You have to wipe data after flashing a ROM
Hi Guys,
I tried flashing a stock ROM via Heimdall again, and this time it worked. The phone is still very flacky though, so I'm convinced it's a hardware issue. Managed to triangle away and get everything stock, so they should never know when I send it back for replacement ;^>
Thanks to all for your suggestions.

Hi,
I have a problem with gt-i8190. It has a gesture lock, which I've forgotten.
So I thought I could wpie data/factory reset, but I cant't enter Recovery Mode.

While flashing with ODIN, it seemed to work. Odin succeeded.

The three button combo caused the movi_write card status:2 message.
Did you hold vol up+home+power for access recovery?
And if you forgot your gesture lock then you need to type it 5-10 times wrong till you see this message "pattern forgotten?" Then you unlock your phone easy with your Google account or pin
The last way is flashing a recovery via Odin.

Everytime I try to flash with Odin, it throws errors on the screen of the phone.
Odin says success, but nothing changes after flash.
Tried also the russian goldenxx.pit

Hi all.
A newbie, I ended up lost after trying to flash the latest CM 12.1 on my Samsung Galaxy S4 Active GT-I9295.
At first, there was an issue with the recovery, which upon entering showed black screen instead of the tool itself.
Trying to fix this, I managed to remove the recovery through flashing the Stock ROM, which has failed in Odin on the "system.img.ext4" instead - could not paste screenshot link here, feel free to ask for it, please!
I must say that I have tried hard to figure out what to do with the mess I have caused, but now I am helpless.
Would anyone give me some nice piece of advice to get my phone going again?
Thank you so much!

Did you try odin 3.10 by any chance? That could be the problem. Use odin 3.07 or 3.09, boot manually into download mode with complete shutdown & using vol down + power key and odin the stock ROM, reboot and do the same with TWRP (hold down the vol up key after flashing recovery when it is rebooting)

Hi there, Jason.
Yes, I did exactly as you say - got to the download mode, plugged in, ran Odin (tried 3.10, 3.09 and 3 v1.85) started flashing the latest Stock ROM and the I only got as far as the "system.img.ext4", when the download failed. Sometimes that happened even earlier, saying that there was no PIT etc.
When trying to flash the CWM recovery, it goes through OK, but then when trying to get into it, the screen just goes black, as described in my previous thread - "CWM or TWRP Recovery Black Screen".
I am stuck.
But I still hope that I am not a proud brick owner

Hi. Try this:
Remove the battery and USB cable from your phone, and wait at least 3 seconds.
Place the battery only back in your phone.
Fingers on volume down and home, then another on power. (cold boot directly into download mode - this is important!)
Press up to enter download mode.
Insert USB cable into phone and lie it down somewhere it won't move or be touched during the flash.
Download a good current copy of Odin from:
https://idlekernel.com/flash-tools/Odin_3.10.7.zip
Extract the archive and run Odin.exe
Download this emergency recover tar for your device (newest firmware revision available as of right now):
https://idlekernel.com/flash-tools/recover/BL_I9295XXUDPA4_RECOVER.tar.md5 (also has official TWRP 3.0.0-2)
Insert "BL_I9295XXUDPA4_RECOVER.tar.md5" in the [BL] slot.
In the Options tab put an [✔] in the "Phone Bootloader Update" checkbox.
If you don't have anything you need on your internal storage, put an [✔] in the "Nand Erase All" checkbox.
Click [Start].
Once the progress bar is near finished, place your fingers on volume up and home to enter directly into official TWRP 3.0.0-2.
If you used the "Nand Erase All" feature earlier, you will need to go into Wipe -> [Format Data] -> type "yes" for your data partition to be usable again.
Hopefully this will get you past your black screen issues.
PS. Remember to flash stock boot.img with your system.img.ext4, as you cannot boot a ROM without a matching boot image.
Can anyone help me? My phone started to present this problem yesterday, I already tried the original rom, everything works fine in the odin, but after restarting the problem persists, I already tried to install some recoverys and even then I can not enter the screen to make the wipe or resets, I noticed Also that despite the numerous attempts the part CUSTOM BINARY DOWNLOAD is always "NO" someone knows what it can be and would have some guidance to give?
You could try to flash a "repair firmware". If that won't work I'm afraid it's a hardware failure.
