I believe phones in recovery already can connect to adb.
Try running
Code:
adb devices
while connected

:angel:Hi there!
Go to the link on xda-devs http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2644083
"hyelton" posted links to Storage Cow Europe and detailed descriptions how to flash stock ROMs. All download links are fast and reliable, even with slow connections. LG Flash Tool download link is posted there, too.
Take care of your model! AT&TD980 and SprintLS995 ROM .dll and .tot files must be activated on AT&T or Sprint networks each. The korean LF340K .dll and.tot files are perhaps locked for T-Mobile networks.

Hi !
Alternatively you can go to myGoogle blog, if your only problem is the update installation to KitKat from LG for Sprint LS995. There you will find my description with images of how to go on installing the update with adb sideload and in hung in recovery.

Hi there !
You do not need usb debugging for adb sideload for LG G Flex. If your ROM was fully installed before the kitkat update, you can simply send the update.zip file via adb sideload. If you can boot into recovery, then your device can be recognized in the menu option "Send file via adb" only.
For the installation of LG Kikat update you must send the update file three times via adb sideload. Don't reboot system before you have sent it three times. Unzipping and installation take place in well ordered ranges and will complete after you have sent the file three times 100%.:good:

[Q] Clockwork Mod to 4EXT recovery

Hey guys,
Before I get flame at, let me point out a few things
1.) I've been searching throughout the forum in and out to find the answer to my question but I have failed so.
2.) I'm using a custom firmware by nikhil007mmus Jelly Bean 4.1 on my HTC Incredible S
3.) Recently I was curious about new firmware from PACman. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2105869
Hence my question is,
I'm using the original ClockworkMod Recovery v5.0.2.0, and I found out PACman firmware need to be flash using 4EXT recovery.
I've tried to install 4EXT Recovery, followed ALL the steps provided by alot of people, but everytime after finished installing all the settings and configuration, when I boot up my recovery it is still on ClockworkMod
Why is this so? What did I do wrong? D:

You need to have adb and fastboot installed in your computer.. if you are using windows you need the htc usb drivers as well
are you on windows?
Just install the 4EXT recovery app from the play store. Follow the steps and it will flash it for you.
Is your device unlocked?
Wow, this is some crazy in-depth **** goin' on!
I am on windows, mind to lay down all the things I need and the steps to follow?

Download the recovery zip file.
extract the recovery.img file and place it in C:\android-sdk\platform-tools\recovery.img
Open up command prompt and type:
cd \android-sdk\platform-tools
Now, make sure it detects your android:
fastboot devices
You'll see a line with a serial number, you're good to go (remember you need to be in fastboot mode while you do all of this, Vol. Up + Power while off)
Now, just flash the recovery.img
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Would this work on the inspire 4g. IV tried flashing it from the app didn't work so now I'm here using the search button. Any suggestions?

Did the 4EXT app automatically detect the device properly? Is the recovery compatible with your device?
Yes it detected my phone and yes its compatible cuz the custom Rom I'm running supposedly had it built in but it's still cwm...... Android revolution hd 7.3

Thanks for the reply again lol,
and yeah I've flashed it to a custom rom lol.
By downloading recovery zip file you mean going into 4EXT website and download it down?
Once I extract it out, I need to put inside my phone's SD card right? I'm pretty lost at this part now.
I got how you mean by doing all this in the fastboot mode (The white screen with lines of words and THREE androids below the screen, correct?)
And I'm not sure about flashing the recovery.img, oh god..

In the bootloader go fastboot USB, I think you need debugging on but not certain. Then your ready to type command.
Sent from my Incredible S using xda premium
Connect your phone to your computer via usb (Make sure usb debugging is checked on the phone)
Open a command prompt window
type the following
adb reboot bootloader
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot reboot
Oh okay sweet, so I still need to go to 4EXT to download the file first before proceeding right?
No need am attaching the latest 4EXT TOUCH Recovery Zip file
Extract and follow instructions above.
Also dont forget to check the md5 of the .img file. You brick your device if you flash a corrupt recovery
If it works click "Thanks"
Please report if it works and if it does..please edit the title of your thread and added a '[Solved]' to it in the begining

These steps are manual steps on how to do them and if u just want 4EXT Recovery, then you can download the 4EXT Recovery App. The app will download the proper files as well as flash the recovery once the download is finished.

No OS, stuck on HTC load screen

Hey everyone. I know I totally screwed up. So I got my Phone today. HTC One from Sprint. I went to unlock bootloader. Success, but when I went to install a custom rom I went to do a wipe, I guess I wiped the wrong thing. So now I don't have a OS, and stuck in TWRP because it won't load. Is there a way to push the rom to the phone and install from there? Or do I need a RUU? Or best bet is try to get a new phone?

I have ran into a similiar problem except I cannot get into TWRP I used the all in one tool and it starts to open for a split second, then I go into a bootloop. I have tried to flash TWRP again bust still no luck. I also reinstalled htc drivers because when I try to run boot into recovery command from the all in one tool, it tells me device not detected. I think this is strange since it finds it to flash twrp but not anything else. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

So installing a custom rom will fix my problem or does a rom run off the stock OS? Or does it use its own OS so once I can install it, it will work?

Make sure you have proper Drivers Installed and you are on the screen of ADB Sideload a ROM on TWRP

You should try another USB Port/USB Cable make sure you have the HTC Drivers installed, I would try this:
Disconnect Phone try another USB Port/USB Cable
Reboot phone into Recovery
Open All-In-One Toolkit V1.0 Select Extras ---> ADB Sideload a ROM
On TWRP go to Advance ---> ADB Sideload (Select Wipe Dalvik Cache/Wipe Cache)
Select RUN on ADB Sideload select ROM and the ROM transfer should work (you should see a sideload.zip file thats the ROM)
If that doesn't work probably someone with more knowledge can help you.
I had a similar issue and had to install my rom with the ADB Sideload option.

I as well am getting a unable to mount data issue which is not allowing me to push anything using adb sideload...and when using the all in one toolkit I got a message saying
adb server is out of date. killing...

granted I have been awake for about 26 hours now so i may have just missed something but any advice would be very helpful
EDIT - Figured out that you need to do wipe of pretty much everything by going to wipe>advanced>and selecting everything, then do a adb sideload, worked like a charm

You can do this: - lock bootloader
- power on device
- enable adb debugging on device
- make sure you have adb and fasboot working corectly
- connect device via usb to PC
- run RUU with administrator rights
- and from there on just follow the instructions given by software
- http://www.androidruu.com/?developer=Golf
you really need the 2-4 lines i mentioned up for this to work
no need to flash anything recovery or boot if it's an .exe
if it's a .zip you need to :
flash via custom recovery and flash boot and recovery via fastboot
end.

but does it power on
---------- Post added at 05:36 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:01 PM ----------
so if it does not power on you can't use what i said up you need to do this :
download recovery http://goo.im/devs/OpenRecovery/golfu
make sure the fastboot drivers are working and flash the recovery you download(you can rename it to recovery) and in cmd fastboot boot recovery.img
for this to work make sure the device is conected via usb to pc
after that download the stock rom from here http://mblex.ru/roms/desirec/stock/untouched__rom_v2.0eu_dcplx1.zip
put it on sd reboot to recovery and install the zip from sd
after that reboot to bootloader
extract boot.ig from the rom you download and fla**** with fastboot boot boot.img
again make sure the device is conectedvia usb to pc
reboot and that's it
if you want after you install this you want it to full stock and to be able to update the firmware
do what i mentioned earlier but only after you enable the debugging option in developer option in settings
Wouldn't the bootloader need to be unlocked to flash the recovery? If it isn't unlocked, he would have to take it to a service centre.

[Q] Stuck with no OS on my Moto XT1052

Hey there... Need help..!
I was trying to install CM12 on my Moto XT1052.
I rooted my phone successfully and bootloader was also unlocked.
I already installed SuperSU and am using twrp 2.6.3.1
The mistake i did was, that i didn't take backup from TWRP recovery.
I performed a full wipe and now i'm stuck with absolutely nothing on my phone... not even the OS.
I have CM11 and CM12 Rom ZIP on my PC.
I'm using fastboot and mfastboot commands.
I tried to flash CM11 and CM12 ZIP to phone's SDcard folder and also to System folder, but all in vain.
I also tried to push it to /System and also /SdCard via ADB push. In CMD, it said "Writing Complleted at 5123 KBps " But i couldn't find the file in TWRP. And also the SYSTEM folder gets unmounted automatically and it won't mount until i wipe system again.
Please guide me further...
Your help will be appreciated..! Ty.

search for the stock os. you'll find it on firmware factory website. then after you download it... do a quick google search to see how to manually flash it. after the flashing is done, you can root your phone again and continue with which ever rom you want to

New update released with version v1.07 (177.9MB)

Folks,
I have an update from Nubia for 177.9MB with version 1.07 downloaded (OTA) and ready to be installed..
My phone is rooted with steps from xda thread... Not sure if the update will break my phone...
Anyone has any info on this? Please advise

You can do two things with the same result:
1. Flash the ROM version you have in the recovery and you will be able to update via OTA without any difficult.
2. If you have the stock boot.img of the version of your ROM, just flash it via ADB and fastboot on the fastboot menu and you will able too to flash the update via OTA
I have a question to you. Which ROM are you using?

Sometimes I get the same error and when I try again it works. Make sure you are in EDLMODE and that the port you typed is the correct. To see that you have to enter in devices manager on win10 and see in "Com Ports"

Try enter in recovery mode and clear data and cache, then boot again. Did you do what I said to you about the boot.img?

Thanks Perseo... Both the options didnt work for me... I was not able to get into Recovery and I was not able to successfully run Unbrick tool...
However since the phone was on fastboot mode, I was able to replace the recovery.img with stock and was successfully able to start the phone.. However it threw an error that the update was not installed which is fine...
Finally, I lost root because of this and which is also fine.. I hardly require root..
thanks again for your response..
