[Q] Share internet through bluetooth to Galaxy Tab p1010

Hi, I'm buying a Galaxy S 5.0, and like the Galaxy Tab p1010, he don't have 3G, or SIM card. With the Galaxy Tab p1010 can I use a phone with 3G and bluetooth to share internet ? I had a nokia n800 and I was able to do this very easy.

I also has GT-P1010 and also nokia n900
Don't expect to much with wifi,because it doesn't support ad-hoc networking even you install joikuspot.
neither also with bluetooth.because samsung has use their own bluetooth stack that doesn't support DUN and PAN because my nokia n900 has already support dun and pan.
the only choice is buy 3g modem with wifi infradtructure support.
right now,I am going to hack and replace bluetooth stack samsung with bluez linux universal,hopely can

hum, so the only way to connect to internet is with teether, this is sucks, drain the battery very quickly.
But thank you, I will have to live with that.... Miss my n800, the best tablet, It's a shame that nokia is so dumb to kill maemo, and meego, and symbian, and now making a partnership with microsfot...

Hey! I found this thread when looking for a solution to my problem, but unfortunately this thread does not answer my question, however I maybe able to assist in your situation.
Depending on what phone you currently have (if it's a Nokia smartphone; including s60v3 and v5), you maybe able to tether your 3G/HSDPA for your Galaxy S 5.0. To do this, download and install JoikuSpot on your Nokia (JoikuSpot Premium recommend, to password protect your network). This software will allow you to tether your 3G/HSDPA from your smartphone via an ad-hoc network; the software will create an ad-hoc network.
Unfortunately as the 'Samsung Galaxy S WiFi 5.0' runs on Android, it does not support ad-hoc networks; therefore the network you have created from your Nokia is not detected. However to over come this obstacle, you will need to root and apply a specific patch for Android, which will allow ad-hoc network communication; this will then allow your Samsung Galaxy 5 to connect to your Nokia's 3G/HSDPA.
The patch has been developed by XDA forum member blackplatypus, which you may find here: http://www.xda-developers.com/android/android-ad-hoc-wireless-network-support/
After doing everything above, your problem should be solved!

Its a good option, but my galaxy have gingerbread 2.3.5 and I cant root him. But thank you, hope you find a solution.

I know this is a little old but I am trying to get this to work..
I am able to get my Tmobile G2X to teether through Bluetooth with my Asus Transformer (3.2 OS) but cannot get my Tab to do the same.. It would be awesome if I could get to work because WIFI teethering kills my battery fast..

[Q] 3g keeps switching off

im having problems with my 3g on my phone its a samsung galaxy s 2 gt i9100 and version 2.3.3
it keeps turning on and of randomly for no reason some times it just goes of and other times it actually deactivates itself. ive removed juice defender which i thought was the cause but its still switching on and of randomly somtimes it will last for a hour or so other times it wil go on and of every 5 mins.
sometimes i can simply switch the data mode on and of and that works but most times i have to reboot the phone and everytime i reboot it the internet is back on.
what could be causing this its driving me made as i use my phone as a router most of the time. i know its not the network im on because it happens in every country i go to on a new sim.
is there a simple solution is it a android fault or samsung fault?
anyone have a solution to this as i really like my samsung phone but this problem is really annoying.

anybody else get this problem with a samsung or android phone ?

I don't own a 9100 but a 9001 (SGS Plus). The 2.3.3 firmware for my device gave me the exact same issue. I solved it by updating to 2.3.6. But you would need to ask someone who is more familiar with the S2 which ROM ist best as I don't know those.

thanks for the reply now how easy is it to update the phone it says there is no update avalibile when i try to check for updates.
How easy is it to do this rom thing and flashing id need a step by step guide id rather just be able to update it with the click of one button.

i assume you havn't rooted/flashed before? if not, either get into a decent wifi area and update your phone through the settings (that worked for my friends galaxy ace) or see if theres an update through samsungs own software "Kies"
personally i think the 3g issue seems to fall on samsungs side of things but i could be wrong,

no i havent rooted or flashed before. When i try to update in the phone info check for updates it says there is none im currently in the uae is the update done by the network or by samsung. Ive never used kies either. Ill have a look at it i thought kies was just another form of wifi.

I have whew problems with my GT S 6500.. my friends keep saying that they cant get connection sometimes, or my phone is not available, so it would be somekind connection problem.
but is it in hardware or software??
i heard also that the backplate could cause problems bcos the antenna is located there..am i right?

GPS problem

Hi!
I own Samsung S3 mini phone since 2 weeks. I used to use GPS alot for outdoor sports, such as biking or hiking with my old Samsung Galaxy Ace phone. I'm running a problem with the GPS as the signal lost every minute, so I can't record my own ride or anything.
I've been checking this site but i didn't see anything regarding to this issue. I know that a lot of people is getting this problem with S3 terminal, and they have developed some fixes that can solve the problem, but not for S3 mini. Do anyone know something about it? I read somewhere that this problem could be caused by the RADIO or MODEM file, but i can't see any other file to try it out.
I'm runing a rooted deodexed ROM (AMB3)
Hope someone can help with this issue. I tried with GPS STATUS but is not fixing the problem.

[Q] modern combat 3 problem

hello guys.today i installed mc 3 on my samsung galaxy s3 mini because it is free in the samsung store.it downloaded the additional 797mb normal but when i open it after the logo og the gameloft and a very short clip it show the loading icon and it crashes,it shows me the homescreen.any ideas what is wrong?

I have exactly what you have done, and I have exactly the same problem !!
I thing it's has something to do with the destination of data after the download ( the download data goes to sdcard/gameloft/games/GloftM3SS, but it usualy in Sdcard/Android/data/com/gameloft.GAND.GloftM3SS or GlostM3HP !! ), It's either that or the problem is SIII mini compatibility.
Please Experts , We're still waiting for your tips

I dont think thats the problem, gameloft games are stored in sdcard/gameloft/games, it might be that game is incompatibile with our devices.
