Google Play Competition Policy - App Stores

Hi All,
I'm currently working with a team to develop an app for release on Google Play. The game will include competition elements and offer real world prizes for both credits allocated freely and also greater prizes for bought credits. Can anyone advise me on Googles policy on this? Do they allow paid credits for chances to win real world prizes?
Any help and advise that you can provide will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance for any help provided.
Rowley

Can anybody advise me on this? Any help would be hugely appreciated

Play Google's policy is very extensive.
I recommend that first you sign up and you read it, if in doubt contact them via phone and explain it to you.
In Europe they have in almost every country call center

Google Play / Google Wallet Tax Information for UK users

im extremely confused about all of this, i kind of stumbled into this google play malarky by mistake
So..
Im in the Uk
I got some apps on google play.
ive made £4 in a couple of months.(i made a couple of apps 50p just to see what happens/stop all those promo sites integrating my wares as their own.)
now i get this:
Tax information required
Tax regulations in the US require that Google have complete and accurate tax information for our customers. Such forms are required in the event that a payee is located in the US or whose content is sold in the US. Please update your tax information in order to get paid.
Do i need to do this? Will i burn in hell for it?
And do i need to be a "business"?
im an idiot.
i hear that this is where people who actually know what they are talking about lurk.
help.
what is everyone's thoughts on this? any UK users had to do this?
I'm also interested how to deal with it
Hi,
Sorry for the late reply..
But YES, you need to fill these forms out. No you won't burn in hell so long as you are no a US citizen, do not carry out business in the US, etc.. (read what it says on the form). For 95% of developers this will be the case.
You will need to declare your earnings to HMRC.. I would check out if there is a lower limit below which it can be considered a "hobby", otherwise you should become a sole trader or a Ltd company. This will require year-end accounts to be filed, which could cost you about £500-£800 for an accountant.
Send me a PM if you would like some help. Also, I have bought developer's accounts in the past so might be interested in yours.

Help Me Get/Develop Google Glass

I received an invite to the Google Glass Explorer Program after I signed up to be notified of its availability. Unfortunately the timing could not have been worse. Just 3 weeks ago I got laid off from my Engineering Job and am currently working on paying off my student loans.
I have been so interested in Google Glass because I have limited eye sight and view the device as a great step towards providing people like myself a great aid in their everyday life. My goal has been to get my hands on a unit and develop apps for those with limited vision. I saw Google developers showing off the translating capabilities just a short while ago and view it s a great proof of what this device can do.
I am trying to get some help with funding for this undertaking. I know that the Android Community is a great group to reach out to for some potential help. I have set up a gofundme.com to try and get some help with the cost, since its not a great financial investment given my current situation. However I really want to get my hands on it and really try to use my experiences and engineering background to develop somethings people with limited vision can utilize.
If you are interested in helping me out please consider donating:

Sorry to hear about your job. In terms of google glass for those with limited eye sight, I applaud the dream, but the reality is that you actually need really good vision to use google glass. The screen is TINY. I have 20/15 vision and I often have to squint to read what the text says. In its current form, I dont think it would work at all for someone with limited eye sight. Just wanted to give you a heads up before you invested the $1,800 with those expectations.
In terms of donations, it would help if you were a recognized xda developer or contributor rather than this being your first post on the forums. At least a link to your development work on github or contributions on stack exchange would definitely help sway those generous enough to donate. Just my 2 cents. Best of luck!

POS Software looking for app Analytics

POS Software - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=kroid.restaurant.pos_cloud
Hi! I am Brenan, web marketing personnel of a certain IT company. We have this POS software that runs on Android. A POS or Point of Sale system is basically used in stores or shops to automate ordering and payments. It also useful for business owners to take full control of their business and follow profit reports. We are little bit proud of the final product that we have though we are still planning to make changes from time to time. The app is now ready to download on Google Play for free, look for Kroid Cloud POS. You can check it out for us, please. In connection to this, we would like to solicit suggestions on what would be the best way to integrate Analytics for the app. One of our developer tried using Google Analytics but I believed she encountered some errors. Should we really use Google Analytics? What would be the benefit to use Google Analytics in our app? Sorry for these questions but we want to gather as much information that we need, especially thought from great minds in this forum. We would be very happy to listen from you. You can also suggest any positive or negative feedback with regards to our app's functionality and interface if you have time to test it. Thank you so much.
I want also to make this thread as a comment/suggestion/feedback thread for us to improve this POS Software to the needs of our target clients.
