"What Rom is the best for........." is a violation of XDA Rules. All Devs here spent precious time learning, cooking, testing their roms before releasing to us users. Try for yourself to find what suits u best.

I think both has it's plus and minus. If you just want to stick with a custom Rom, then it's ok to be with ICS. JB comes in terms of more features that doesn't exist in ICS. I will rather use JB because of the dreaded ICS EMMC Brick

If you want to play games u can flash @forest1971 's JB kernel the OC (Overclocked) one. It should take away your gaming problems. But You mus root your device first.

Actually for gaming i prefer underclocking the cpu (1.0 Ghz to prevent thermal throttling) and overclocking the gpu (400Mhz) with tegrak overclock.

[Q] [REQUIRE] A kernel with lots of governors :p

I have forgotten what the governor I had seen can't recall it..
Anyways I have recently flashed zimage kernel but it's pretty unstable half my apps keep crashing
I am on AOS
So now I am looking for a new kernel...
Pls post your reviews of the kernel you use

yeah 3rd one there ends the list
anyone with enough time to spare, experiment with new one then. use the source from maclaw's ics kernel and compile it, then repack with cm7 ramdisk. i'm pretty sure it'll boot.
I checked the stickles thread in the list there are quite a lot of kernels
I don't know which one to select and the kernel threads on reading are all alien very difficult to understand...
If you could help me with a stable kernel with lots of governors
That would be awesome

If you can't understand from the threads you should not flash any kernel since you do not deserve them.

Hahaha I understand but at this point most of my apps keep crashing and that's because of zimage kernel... I got that because it had two way call recording and it's a pretty good at it
But due to the crash apps I want to revert to a stable kernel... I am not experimenting different kernels just want a new stable one
You get it?

ive used [ROM] JellyBean 'REVOLUTiON Light' V3 [1.12.2012] [Stock] [BatteryExtender Kernel] but i think its bit laggy

Find out yourself.
There is not good or bad ROM.
It all depends on the user.

It's kinda sad

It's sad to watch all these new ROM'S and kernel's here knowing you can't have them because u can't unlock your bootloader....
And ROM'S compactible with stock kernel are sometimes(70% of time)slow.
I've realized that now aftee getting motherboard with date number 12W03
Now I know how it feels...to be limited :'(
Don't think I am complaining because I'm not,I just want to bring back a little development for stock kernel to show us,stock kernel users that we are not forgotten.
With this thread I am asking someone of you developers to make really lightweight, smooth ROM.
I know you are busy with developing for nAa or some other kernel but I think that other stock kernel user, will agree with me.
Sorry for your time and thanks for reading this!
Please don't tell that there are already plenty of good ROM'S for stock kernel user because there are not...no offense....I a just saying that most of them are slow and laggy
GDX ain't slow on stock kernel
I used it though

Mimicm 1.0.2 is great and I used it while I was at stock kernel and it was like eclair, fast, smooth, reliable. Definitely try it!

GDX has battery drain on stock kernel?
sent from my BEAST™ W8 Walkman™
Well, stock is ungrateful and painful in development. I don't like to re-stock 50 times, root 50 times, put recovery etc. and still don't know what's going on because logcat doesn't even start. So I wouldn't expect so many ROMs.
And hey, it's 2013 adn X8 was released in 2010 so it's like using Celeron 433 MHz now

Definitely worth a try. But the latest iterations of GingerDX work great. Probably even better when lots of apps are installed. Tho I didn't tried MiniCM6 with the A2SD script I'm using now.

I don't know what you mean by lightweight. GingerDX is pretty standard when it comes to the apps that come with it. Besides anything you don't like can just be uninstalled using Titanium Backup.

Well, I saw in performance options that the max clock is 1000 MHz, and it has some governors. But at the stock clock the system is fast and smooth, a lot different from the stock JB from Samsung (anyway, I hate that Touchwiz UI).
I'm waiting a CM11 version to my Xperia L too, and I'll see the difference in the two systems.

If you don't undervolt then your phone will get too hot / use too much battery when overclocking (going to 1.6). It's best to test how high you can undervolt your phone before it starts to lag / freeze to find the optimal level of undervolting (e.g. my phone freezes at 40mv because of touchboost). If your phone refuses to boot after overclocking / undervolting then you can flash AGNi_reset_oc-uv_on_boot_failure.zip (found in /sdcard) to fix it.
