Hi, Guys and Thanks for the help. I've tried searching everywhere on this forum and google, and can only find a few posts about this issue but nothing I have found has been usefull. My device is as follows:
Sony Xperia SP C5306
Cyanogenmod 11
Android 4.4
Kernel 3.4.0-perfg5dce312
Bootloader unlocked
My 4G LTE is not working as I am unable to access the Service menu by typeing *#*#7378423#*#* . When I input this nothing happens. I have tried wiping all user data, factory reset, and reflashing CM11. *#06# works and am given the IMEI. Also I've tried installing other Kernels. As a final last resort I even tried installing some app off the play store, that is supposed to bring you into the service menu.
Note: The first time I installed CM11 I was able to access the Service Menu and turn on LTE, but I needed to wipe all user data, because I removed my sd card that had apps installed, and I believe this messed the phone up.
Thanks for the Help.

Okay I was able to change the Band by typing *#*#4636#*#* Set preferred network type: LTE/GSM auto (PRL)
Sorry for waisting anyones time, as I do believe this is posted somewhere I was and am still unable to find that thread.
Hmm I don't know, we don't have LTE in my country, but maybe you could try checking your APN?

First of all, i want to introduce myself a bit, cause it`s my first post - i followed this great forum for quite a while now and learned a lot by reading stuff, though i`m still just a user... by using some howto`s i was able to flash huexxx rom zeus 3.2n and i`m very satisfied with it in daily use.
However, i would like to use Temaseks Kang or the stock CM7 and that`s my problem... It doesn`t matter which of the two roms i try - i don`t get service and there is no apn. i can`t check for available services but phone connects if i choose to sign automatically, but even then there`s no apn available.
I tried to fix the apn manually but can`t save - means, i can save but apn won`t appear after saving.
Additional information: I did a full wipe before installing cm7/temaseks kang, wiped dalvik cache, tried factory reset after installing - nothing works.
So, i hopefully await some help from this community - hope it`s not too noobish...
greetz, nbt
Happened to me once. All i did was as this :
- In APN settings, press menu and click "Reset to defaults".
- Either default APN settings from your service provider will come automatically or it won't.
- Even if it doesn't appear, reboot your phone. Just give a little time before rebooting the device after you click reset to defaults, so that if sim card is sending any message to retrive the APN settings, it would finish.
I had got my APN settings back after 2 reboots with this steps. Hope you too..
try "Apn Manager" or "apn backup and restore" you can find these in the market, maybecan helpyou
I tried both - no effect
i won`t get a connection to service automatically. If i try to scan for available services, i get an error, if the phone chooses, i get a connection but no apn.
after rebooting, there`s no service-connection and i have to join by hand. argh!!!
anybody a solution for this? am i the only one having this freaking problem?
edit: went back to zeus, got service, got apn without problem... what`s wrong with cm7?
Ladies and gents;
So i changed my rom a few days ago for the CM7.2 thanks to a guide on here, and it really impressed me in terms of performance and the whole package.
Problem is, i can't seem to connect to 3g, and cant seem to create any apn's either, device just doesnt do anything when i click on create new apn!
I have made sure that the baseband is on the right selection and so are my network settings...
I have a motorola milestone that used to be locked to TELUS and is now unlocked and using FIDO

Its possible that you might have just had a bad installation. Id recommend you backup your data and apps, go into recovery preform a factory reset, wipe all data and cache, and re-install the CM 7.2 ROM. I have had similar problems to what your having in the past when installing new versions of CM and most of the time re-installing the ROM did the trick.

i tried just doing a dalvik reset and all data+cache, it worked for the volume wake and the rest, but still no 3g connection
A simple battery pull may work.

I had the same problem with both 3G and 2G as well. I had to manually add APN in Settings>Wireless and Network>Mobile Network>Access point names
It works fine now, even when switching from 2G to 3G while connection is active. CM7 7.2.2
So,all was well with my z1 and somehow my subconscious thought that I something should be screwed up.
Well,I was getting really bad signal reception in my area for 3g since i barely got 1 bar(though i got 4 out of 4 bars for 2g)
.
Now,I typed in *#*#4636#*#* in the dialer >> Phone Info >> Menu key thingy>> Select radio band(well obviously,i thought that if i could unlock more bands, then i could connect to one with more...power) >> Only one option was avaliable--> "USA BAND"....So much for unlocking new bands.well i selected the 'usa band' anyway thinking that is was the default option,
BOOM..there goes the signal reception and i couldn't get it back no matter what i tried: I tried factory resetting,I tried manually factory resetting,I wiped Dalvik Cache n Cache. I reflashed the baseband via flashtool.AND STILL NO SIGNAL( I blame sony for including stuff like this in their phones)
I searched a lot for fixing this on the web and i found that many people had the same problem as me but i found no answers as to how to fix this.
SOMEBODY plz help me,ANYBODY plz help me.
UPDATE: ok, after flashing a multitude of different firmwares via flashtool,i somehow finally got my signal back...yah. So if this happens to anyone in the future,...then go crazy with flashtool
A full reflash is the only way I have come across. You can hardly blame Sony, they didn't give you the code (which works on pretty much any phone).
i fixed this problem, reflashing only kernel (stripped file for LB)

hey folks. I apologize in advance that my English is not so good. so use google translator to help me.
when now the subject.
I have a sony xperia z1 with CyanogenMod CM11 snapshot.
after reinstalling does my data connection 3G // 4G not I have checked that the APN is correctly plugged on. I've tried pretty much everything. install an earlier version of CyanogenMod. reset all settings. formatting the SD card. the only way I can get the data connection to work is by installing stock sony software on the phone. what can I do to get the data connection to work with CyanogenMod. have also tried to install cm12 but still does not work.
* it must be said that I have experienced errors on multiple Sony devices
help is welcome. / AQ

I think it will be good to know the model of your Z1...
If you are on a C6902, there is an additional file to flash for the modem-related stuff.
of course. it is a c6903
we just made a discovery. by flashing an old enough version of CyanogenMod we got it to work. but when we reinstall the latest we will have the same problem back
Hi All - I tried flashing 2 custom ROM's (Monnlight and Mokee), both install just fine but i am unable to get mobile data on either of the ROM's. Everything works fine on Wifi. I can even make calls fine. My IMEI number is correct, hence not sure why i cannot get the mobile datat to work.
Tried manually entering the APN details, still no luck.
Hoping somebody has a fix.
Have you tried this:
dial *#*#4636#*#*
select WCDMA-preferred or CDMA auto-prl

Thanks Gary, I tried your code and selected various options nine work. I can still see the Exclamation mark and no mobile data. However on the diagnostic page it says "Connected" and network type "HSPA". I have tried multiple settings rebooting, still no luck.
The funny thing is if i switch back to my phone OS which MIUI v6 evrything works fine. I even checked the baseband number its teh same in the working ROM and the non working ROM.
I am really confused what's happening.
It seemed like a ROM issue I installed a non Cyanogenmod based ROM and it worked just fine
