Hi all,
I know there are a lot of threads about this but I wanted to be doubly sure that I was going to get this right.
I have just got a new Samsung GT-I9305 after my old one died whilst switched off. I was originally going to leave the stock ROM on it and not root it, but the battery life was terrible and it kept rebooting randomly so I had no choice. So I used the Android Unified Toolkit to root it and install a custom recovery (TWRP). I downloaded a Revolution Remix ROM and started to flash it, it then failed and now I'm stuck at the boot screen.
Any help would be awesome!
EDIT!:
I have found the stock firmware for my phone and have flash it via Odin. All is well and I now have a phone that works a lot quicker than before to!
If you have read this thread then many thanks to you!
Thanks,
Storm
Have you tried using Samsung Kies to restore your stock rom. I'm interested too.

I have flashed many diferent firmwares on my phone. Lately I have been primarily using TelusLiteV4. Yesterday I tried a new rom and decided I did not care for it. So for about the 30th time I reflashed TelusLite back on through G.O.T. open recovery. Well, now I get constant bootloop. I have tried to do a couple other firmwares, bootloop. I tried a new sdcard, bootloop. I have my sdcard partitioned for Ext3/Fat32/linux swap. Everything is a constant bootloop. The only case where I do not get that issue is if I use RSDlite to flash GOT 2.2.1. However I dont care for 2.2.1. Just want TelusLiteV4. Any suggestions from anyone would be awesome. Thank you
I would try a SBF image with stock 2.1, you can find the procedure in the development section and if it works then install telus lite

Hi. Thank you for the reply. I figured it out shortly after posting my situation. I reflashed with G.O.T. Telus SBF, then did the normal stuff to install TelusLiteV4. Everythings a-ok. Thank you.
Hiya guys.
I've searched the forum as much as I can to try and solve my problems and it's got me so far but I can't find any more information to get my phone back working properly so though I'd bite the bullet and make a thread. If the information I require is actually lurking out there then I apologise just please point me in the right direction.
Here is my story.
Right I rooted my device through some video I followed on youtube (I cant post the link)
I think it successfully (as far as I know) rooted my SGS.
So with my newly rooted SGS I downloaded Darky's ROM and followed the instructions in the guide to flash it onto the device.
In the end it failed and the phone powered off and wouldn't power back on.
Panic Ensued.
I have since got my phone back into the download mode and flashed froyo 2.2 (I downloaded from some link on this site) it said it was successful but now it won't boot past the Samsung Galaxy S logo.
Please help?
Thanks alot in advance.
try to do a factory reset in recovery (sometimes it works)
and another thing, it may be that the froyo rom you downloaded was bad or something..
try to use this one with odin if the factory reset wont work. i know this one works.
Flash as PDA using Odin with repartition enabled and 512 pit
http://sourceforge.net/projects/teamhacksung/files/galaxys/GT-I9000_FROYO_FULL_PDA.tar/download
that one fixed my friend phone when something slimier happened to him.
Right thanks alot mate don't know what the hell happened but left it off and just turned it on and now it's working fine!
Scared me a little that I nearly bricked it but I really wanna try installing a new rom but don't wanna break it again :S
Just read the flash instructions and you won't have any problems.
Sent from hell to take your soul
When you flash it can take up to 10 minutes for the 1st boot, so go have a cup of tea and be patient!

Ah right that was my first time so it might have just been me being impatient and thinking it wasn't working because it had been broken.
Also just wondering, the link I downloaded this Froyo ROM from (from another thread on here, can't find it now) is it custom or stock?
Heres some details...
Firmware version
2.2.1
Kernel version
2.6.32.9
[email protected]#36
The phone feels much snappier than before!
I'm new to all this ROM/flashing bees wax so just wondering.
Thanks muchly!
If its from some thread on here its custom some how some way (unless you just changed the kernel - which is speedmod - a very popular one - from your details.

Yeah it's off here from a thread I was reading on how to sort my phone being stuck in download mode.
Is it alot faster than the original rom I was running then?
Just figured I would introduce myself. I am a new member to the site and am new to android. I have the evo 4g and am recently rooted. Any helpful information or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Hey buddy, im new too, been a browser for quite a while but finally decided to become a member Oh and welcome!
Welcome! I'm pretty newly registered here too. Just got myself an Samsung Galaxy S2, rooted it last week and now starting with custom ROMs and kernels all the way!
I just signed myself up after rooting my phone too... Although had a scary bricking moment last night solved by a quick nandroid recovery
Just rooted AND got CM7 onto my Milestone 2!!! Something i've been wanting to do since I got it 6 months ago Even if you think your phone is fast, it will run faster with a custom rom!
Im new too been looking for while have a SGS and have Blockbuster 5.0 on it soooo good.
hello everyone!
need help to reach recovery
i have rooted my htc evo 3d through the htc development method ( ie s-off, but rooted). Everything went well and i got the super user. But i am having one issue - unable to go to fastboot>bootloader>recovery to flash any rom. As soon as i select bootloader, it immediately goes to fastboot. So i am unable to go to recovery from bootloader to flash roms. Appreciate any help

It doesn't sound like you have flashed a custom recovery yet. You'll need one to flash a ROM. I recommend the TeamWin Recovery Project (TWRP) recovery for the Evo 3D.

my problem is resolved. i had selected the option of check imgsrc option on fastboot, and after that i was able to go to recovery to flash a new rom.
Im currently using Safestrap, and made the really stupid mistake of flashing over the stock rom -_- and now im having problems flashing anything. I origionally flashed OctOS over the stock rom and when i rebooted the phone it didnt even get to the Welcome Screen, just sat at a black screen for ever. So then I flashed http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2343355, and it gets to the Welcome Screen and just sits there for ever...
Im currently creating a partition and going to try flashing to a partition, where can I download the Verizon Galaxy S4 Stock Rom?
I did create a backup of the Stock Rom but when it was flashed over it Wiped the phone and I lost the backup

Unfortunately you've posted in the wrong forum, this the the forum for the S4 Active, a very different phone than the S4. You'll have more luck if you post in the Verizon S4 Forum.
Hello guys,
my friend has a Galaxy S Advanced GT-9070, and he had really bad stock ROM which came built in with the phone,
and i wanted to upgrade his ROM for MIUI or whatever..
So I flashed him CWM and tried some ROMs.
The ROMs flashed properly, but the phone got stuck on the boot logo each time I tried to turn it on.
I did wait a long time, about 2 hours, and I do have experience (successful one) with flashing ROMs on other phones.
Do you have any idea what the problem could be?
Any kind of help will be appreciated. :good: :good:
Give more details.
What CWM, what ROM'S do you flashed, did you wipe all with a clean flash?

You did factory reset? And bad stock rom was? JB or GB? You can't flash JB+ ROMs over GB.
Had the same problem for months due to faulty sd card. Try a different one.
