Thankz,By the way.. i have suggested that i could also flash pre rooted stock and den 201 kernel.. any ideas on that?

@ OP You have Q&A so quit PM me and ask all your questions here

The quick answer is yes - use your recovery to back up your rooted stock ROM. If you don't like CM simply return to your back up - it will still be rooted.
Alternatively, you have an unlocked bootloader - so you can flash Doomlord's kernel immediately after returning to stock (the kernel is insecure meaning you can flash a supersu zip in recovery to get root again).
Doomlord's latest kernels are decent and I can recommend Williams kernel too - as good as stock.

[SOLVED] [Q] Getting back to stock ROM

Hi all
I have rooted and unlocked the bootloader but haven't taken the jump and stuck a ROM or kernel on as yet, as am actually quite happy with the stock ROM, and also rely on the headphones, amongst other things - which appear to be a problem on some of the ROMs.
If I do stick a custom ROM on, can I easily get back to the stock one, is there a stock ROM of that which I can flash via CWM ?
I understand that with CWM I (currently) have to instantly stick a ROM on, so presumably cant do a backup of the stock ROM at that point..before putting on FXP or some such
I presume I can use the sony update service, but would that wipe the root ...?
could someone enlighten me
many thanks
nat

Take a backup of what you have now in recovery, and you can always restore.
Also there are plenty of stock .ftfs in the allin one thread in Q&A that can be flashed in flashtool
No.
if you flash cmw from the thread then yeas, but you have unlocke your bootloader, so just flash the advanced stock kernel and then you have recovery without having to reflash a rom...

How did you install it? Flashing CoCore? Recovery is Kernel related, so if you want TWRP, just flash the TWRP-Version of CoCore. If you want Stock Recovery, flash the Stock Kernel.

Big world of Kernels.... and iHackers ROM

So as you all no, Ive unlocked my Bootloader and Rooted my phone.
Now i am trying to install the iHackers 2.1 ROM but am coming into confusion. I have not installed any other apps for the rooted device, i have a clean device with "Philz advance Recovery Kernel" Installed. That is all!
If i go through the process of installing the iHackers 2.1 ROM will this delete "Philz Advance Recovery"? As i think Philz recovery is a kernel
and iHackers wants me to install their Kernel. Correct? so the iHackers will replace philz recovery?? Am i right or wrong?
If im right then how would i install ROMS/WIPE DATA/CLEAR CACHE and that after ive installed the iHackers ROM???
At the end of the tutorial iHackers give they say install my desired Kernel after the Stock Kernel step. Is this were i replace "Philz Recovery"?
I here people installing DOOM's(Something) Kernel at this point. But does that mean they have lost the recovery Kernel?? Its confusing.
I would like the Doom Kernel everyone is using aswell as iHackers ROM as well as A Recovery Kernel lol, Not asking for much am i ! LOL
Could some help clear this up please, i have read many documents on here and havent wrapped my head round it yet. THANKS
The procedure should be like that, complete the iHackers procedure to install the room. After you did that if you lost the recovery you can flash any kernel with recovery via Flashtool, it's your choice. The recovery it's implemented in Kernel so don't get confused, after you install any rom you can flash any custom kernel with any recovery.

Yes you can always! Happy flashing. Backup your data before trying anything for the first time. Just in case anything went wrong. You can go back to full stock by flashing ftf file from flashtool. No problems at all. And if your bootloader is not unlocked, don't flash non-sony ROM.
