so I thought my software was mucked up but then I read a bunch of people are having connectivity issues over the past few days. sprint is blaming my phone but I doubt it, specially with it being a known issue.
basically the phone is having a really tough time conecting to evdo and 1x so much so that I can happily be surfing the web in lte and yet I cant make any phone calls or text messages
anyone else having this issue? and has anyone found something to help?

Most of us have had luck by changing from LTE/CDMA to CDMA only in your network settings. Until there is a software update we are all stuck for now. I had sending text issues for a day or so then that went back to normal. It's a Spark issue. do not worry too much. Neither Sprint or HTC is saying anything about when the update will come.

I've been having this problem since day one with my One. I can't send or receive mms through the stock messaging app. Whenever I try, I get an error that says "Generic Network Failure"
I spoke with sprint tech support and we tried: prl update, profile update, hands free activation, manual hands free activation, then I just did a full factory reset. None of these things worked. Took it to the Sprint store and they just installed Handcent and told me to use that app instead of the stock app. (Meaning Handcent works but the stock app doesn't) Has anyone had this problem and has a solution? All recommendations are welcome.
Lol.....a Sprint rep did that?? I would demand an exchange.
In all fairness, it could be the reception in your area. Are other phones doing this with Sprint?

After talking with Tech support and a bunch of other people, they're replacing it as soon as they get some more phones in stock which should be like tomorrow.
Recently I've notice my mobile data will disconnect sporadically. I'm not sure if it related to the phone or service. Is there a way to tell?
BTW, I'm in the Los Angeles area.
I've been having this problem too. I haven't been able to find a fix yet.
Have you tried updating PRL and Profile?

My problem went away after sprint was done in my area!

Do you have sleep mode on or data connection checked in your power saver menu?

I've noticed the same here in VA. It'll drop for a few seconds then come back.
I still have a connection, but I am noticing 3G/4G flickers in northern Virginia. Hopefully our markets go live soon (officially, anywhoo).
I've updated the prl and profile and have had sprint reprovision data twice. I'm not using battery saver or anything either. The only thing that seems to keep data stable is if I set mobile data to 'CDMA only'.
LTE phone in a non LTE area has caused me grief. Could this be the problem for you also?
I've been having the same issue. However it didn't start till after I unlocked my bootloader and flashed a new ROM. I think it may just be bad timing but I've called Sprint to see if they are doing any work and I've been told no. (For what that's worth)
I also have a GS 3 & 4 and neither of them are having the issue.

I'm thinking that is the cause of this issue. About 60% of San Francisco has LTE now and I'm thinking the phone just has trouble staying to one tower or another. Still it's a frustrating issue.I didn't have any of these problems on my iphone 5 before or after switching back and forth.

When I answer my ONE, I gotta say hello at least twice, sometimes three times before the caller can hear me.
Anyone have any thoughts about this. I am running D3RP 1.ROM
After reading this I realized it happens to me too. Running stock rooted.

I am willing to bet you are all using google voice. This is a typical symptom of google voice users. From my experience it has to do with voice settings, but it might not be the case. It depends on a combination of things.
Seems as though it is probably happening to all of us on 1.31 being the first update that has HD Voice which, I am guessing, is why we have that issue... Just have to get it working flawlessly now type thing since it is finally here

A lot of evo lte users had the same issue. It seems to be a semicommon HTC issues. Most likely due to HD voice and/or two mics. Something isn't kicking in properly. We've been able to fix the issue with a reset. But there have been rare cases that didn't solve the issue so had the phone replaced. But a reset usually fixed the issue. Also having lte on caused it for some. Switching it to just cdma fixed it for some. Luckily we aren't having data issues. A lot if evo lte owners can't even use the data and has serious call issues when lte/cdma is turned on. Hope this helps
Edit: I should add that you should try turning lte off first before attempting anything else lol. That is a more widespread issue right now

Has anyone been able to successfully flash this to boost mobile yet? I'm thinking of buying one tomorrow and was wondering if it has already been done.
Actually I figured it out. Completely full flash with working mms and 3g. I will post a guide if anyone wants me to?

The only other HTC that I ever flashed was the m7 and its exactly like that. The only issue is I can't get sms to work - which is weird because I've never had a problem with that on any device. 3g and talk are good. Sms is hit or miss. Anyone have any possible solutions? Toggling Airplane mode works sometimes, but not consistently...

Can anyone confirm sms is working?
I have also succesfully flashed an HTC One M8 to Boost but I wanted to experiment with an LTE donor phone to see if it would give me LTE on my One. To my surprise it did! I managed to get almost everything to work (Call, Text, SMS, MMS, 3G, partial 4G). I say partial 4G as I manage to receive an LTE signal (I can confirm) for about 10 minutes and then I get a notification saying "Invalid Sim Card." This message also popped up on my HTC M7 when I tried the same procedure on it. I was digging through the donor phone's settings and the M8's and I noticed that the IMEI's don't match. Could this be the reason for the drop in LTE signal? If our fellow flashers could help me sort this final issue out I will not hesitate to release the steps that I took to get an active LTE signal on a Boost Mobile flashed phone. Thanks!

What method did you use? I tried flashing the m8 awhile back and had issues with sms. I had talk and 3g, but for some reason I couldn't send or receive text messages. I used the open sesame door method, then replaced files 0 and 1943 with those that contain my info. Afterwards, I went into DFS and wrote mdn, min, and 3g settings.
When you went into QPST to find NV items 0 and 1943, you zeroed them out first right? I used the exact same method as the M7. Write NV items from the donor phone, zero out the ESN, write the ESN, and finally use QPST to write the profiles.

Actually I'm not sure. I have a file that contains my donor information for items 0 and 1943, so I'm pretty sure I just deleted them on the M8 and replaced them with donor info without actually zeroing them out first. After that, I went into DFS and immediately edited the mdn, min, and profile info.
I would say that you should try zeroing out the ESN first and then writting it cause I've never had an issue when doing this method.

Okay so I did what you said, but now I'm getting a wicked error 16 message. Normally I would just stay on with customer service and they would have me power down the phone then turn it back on in a few minutes and the error would go away. This time that hasn't happened at all. I loaded a boost prl into the phone manually but I still haven't had any luck. You have any suggestions?
EDIT: I got it taken care of. Customer Service gave me a new msid. Do you guys still have that nagging hands free activation?
I activated my phone OTA so that got rid of that pesky notification.

Did you guys have a current prl? Mine will not update ota and my reception is horrible....
Not sure if this is a Sprint issue or a phone issue... My phone is showing texts as "Sending" for a very long time. The recipient is reporting receipt of the same messages like 9 times. How do I tell if this is my phone, or a Sprint issue?
Edit: Some texts also report failed to send when they didn't fail to send. And all this seems to happen when I'm connected to my corporate wifi, when on LTE, it seems to be okay.
I had this same issue on the first day of use. I have Ting (Sprint). Everything happened like you explained, the text took forever to send on my end, and then the person received it around 10 times. Luckily, nobody has complained since. Hopefully the issue was corrected.

Not corrected yet for me.
I'm on sprint also... My text take a long time also, but for me I have to switch to 3g for them to send. They just spin if I don't switch. I'm thinking it's a phone issue because they sent just fine on my G2 running lollipop.

Could be related to something with the wifi network I'm on, because last night I was on my home wifi and it was fine, no multiple texts and they sent VERY quick. When I'm on my corporate wifi it's slow, gives false failure messages and sends a ton of times. Is Lollipop different with sending texts somehow that wifi can impact it?
Edit: Jinxed myself. Happened while on LTE. Maybe it's an area issue or something... This zip code has tons of issues with Sprint.
Known issue, there is a thread further down. There is a 20 plus page thread at Sprints CS board too. Supposedly the update on 12/15 will correct the issue.
The current workaround is to put your phone in 3G mode. If it's on LTE it spits out numerous texts.
