Then you have a decision to make. Art, or xposed.
Pretty sure there's no other way.
Gravity box works with art. I'm using it as we speak.

No...it doesn't. When you install Xposed, it automatically switches you back from ART to Dalvik. If it didn't, you would be in a bootloop now.
Is it true that in 4.4.3 operator name can be removed via standard option in Android settings?

Hoping someone will tell me if Xposed is actually at home on the new 4.4 root method. I'm seeing different references, but just hoping to become familiar with Xposed. I had a a soft brick trying to use the MotoxPosed module, although I'm working my way out of that mistake on my part. Maybe I applied it wrong, or just looking for any insight.
Yes its compatible. Don't use motoxposed. Only modules updated for 4.4.

I prematurely tried to use motoxposed without looking into it and softbricked, got everything back to good tho. Thx again
GravityBox works flawlessly then?
Is it possible without using a custom rom? I am rooted, but because my battery life is amazing, I am reluctant to flash a custom rom.

Download wanam from the playstore and install.
Download xposed framework from here and install.
Open xposed framework and select framework, then Install/Update.
Now open wanam and select system menu. Scroll down to multi window apps and select which ones you want. Then reboot. If you experience issues like an app not opening, you have to deselect it. I am unable to use Shealth when I select it for multi window. It might occur with other apps I haven't come across yet.
Wanam is definitely the all-on-one wonder app. Love it!!
You can also try the Play Store. There are a few apps for Samsung rooted phones. Search for "Samsung multi window"

I very highly recommend Knoxdroid by Drake http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2577273&highlight=widget. I just flashed the Bobcat theme on top of it an its amazing. Battery is top notch above any stock rom or custom for that matter. Hope this helps!

Thanks. I'll give it a shot after I try to get use to flashing roms using Safestrap. I'm coming from a TMO S3, and it's an entirely different ballgame, especially having to use a PC to do it.

I agree, it took me a bit to get used to it. Just have to wait for the bootloader to be unlocked and we'll be back to flashing on the go. But for now this is what we got and it's a blessing we have this lol. Much probs to Hashcode and Drakey

On a whim I installed xposed and G2 xposed from the market on my Flex. Everything I've tried works. Use at your own risk.
Xposed installed with g2 on my g flex and everything works great, of course, on your own responsibility, additionally installed gravitybox and everything fine on my international version: Laugh:
xposed with g2xposed module works great. I'm also using android tweaker 2 (applied a few tweaks and used the font manager addon to change fonts on the phone). I'm using rom toolbox pro with these apps too. I used to use gravity box also when I had vanilla android.. since it's made for that what kinda stuff on there is actually working with our flex?

Gravitybox was what got me thinking about it. I may I stall that instead. Has more options.
The only thing that scares me about gravity box is that with no recovery if something goes wrong it'll be pretty tough to recover. I don't know much about the flex yet so im not sure there is even stock firmware available?

you take that risk using anything that edits system files, not just gravity box and I don't see how well gravity box would work with the flex because gravity box was made more for vanilla android.

Right. Like I said ^
I had problems with gravitybox on my nexus 5. Applying certain navbar tweaks would cause it to bootloop. Can't have that on a phone you can't restore somehow. Ill stick to G2 xposed for now.

I saw that after I posted my next post. Thank you. I've had the flex a few days and haven't really looked around to much to see anything other than no recovery for tmobile version.
I installed gravitybox. Everything I tried worked except the notification area stuff. Imo g2 xposed supports the flex better.

I'm using g2 themes, g2 exposed, g2 extra lockscreen animations in a flash able. G2 bootanimations., G2's "must icon" flashable that changes up your icons in notifications to more realistic images. Cm10 and cm11 themes. And the G2's animated notification background so that the pull down wallpaper is animated it took a little work to get it going and not boot loop me. I don't suggest using it.

Are you unlocked, rooted and S-off? Can't do much if you're completely stock. If you're rooted, you can use Xposed Framework, install GravityBox (KK), and hide the icon that way. Or you can use VenomTweaks (not sure if that only works on the Viper ROM or not).
EDIT: It seems GravityBox doesn't have the functionality it did before. Sense 6.0 Toolbox should work though (also for Xposed, but not available directly through the Xposed Downloader, from what I can tell). See here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2705270

I had read somewhere that 4.4.4 is defaulted to use ART runtime. Can someone install and check https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.magicalboy.artchecker
ps I installed xposed framework, so now i know it forced to Dalvik. Not sure was it ART earlier or not.
Nope.

No. It's an option in Developer settings, but HTC, Sony, Samsung and LG removed the code for it, or buried it very, very deeply
Sent from my LT26i using Tapatalk
Why can't someone prepare flashable zip for stock ROMs. I've been using ART on nexus since a while now. And even there's a way to enable it on HTC one.
Well, according to this post at BGR, it should be possible -- however, I cannot see the option to change runtime on my 4.4.4 Generic FR .108
Anyone had luck with this? Perhaps one of the other customizations?

I read somewhere that switching ART in xperia causes bootloop
I did a browse through the .108 firmware using root explorer. The ART library isn't in /system/lib. You can try switching all you like, Android just switches back to Dalvik (Yes, I tried it )

Code is not removed, it's just disabled, you can re-enable it but that is meaningless, phone will be bootloop when switch to ART.
