On a whim I installed xposed and G2 xposed from the market on my Flex. Everything I've tried works. Use at your own risk.
Xposed installed with g2 on my g flex and everything works great, of course, on your own responsibility, additionally installed gravitybox and everything fine on my international version: Laugh:
xposed with g2xposed module works great. I'm also using android tweaker 2 (applied a few tweaks and used the font manager addon to change fonts on the phone). I'm using rom toolbox pro with these apps too. I used to use gravity box also when I had vanilla android.. since it's made for that what kinda stuff on there is actually working with our flex?

Gravitybox was what got me thinking about it. I may I stall that instead. Has more options.
The only thing that scares me about gravity box is that with no recovery if something goes wrong it'll be pretty tough to recover. I don't know much about the flex yet so im not sure there is even stock firmware available?

you take that risk using anything that edits system files, not just gravity box and I don't see how well gravity box would work with the flex because gravity box was made more for vanilla android.

Right. Like I said ^
I had problems with gravitybox on my nexus 5. Applying certain navbar tweaks would cause it to bootloop. Can't have that on a phone you can't restore somehow. Ill stick to G2 xposed for now.

I saw that after I posted my next post. Thank you. I've had the flex a few days and haven't really looked around to much to see anything other than no recovery for tmobile version.
I installed gravitybox. Everything I tried worked except the notification area stuff. Imo g2 xposed supports the flex better.

I'm using g2 themes, g2 exposed, g2 extra lockscreen animations in a flash able. G2 bootanimations., G2's "must icon" flashable that changes up your icons in notifications to more realistic images. Cm10 and cm11 themes. And the G2's animated notification background so that the pull down wallpaper is animated it took a little work to get it going and not boot loop me. I don't suggest using it.

Download wanam from the playstore and install.
Download xposed framework from here and install.
Open xposed framework and select framework, then Install/Update.
Now open wanam and select system menu. Scroll down to multi window apps and select which ones you want. Then reboot. If you experience issues like an app not opening, you have to deselect it. I am unable to use Shealth when I select it for multi window. It might occur with other apps I haven't come across yet.
Wanam is definitely the all-on-one wonder app. Love it!!
You can also try the Play Store. There are a few apps for Samsung rooted phones. Search for "Samsung multi window"

That's the truth. Working on this theme (and some little tweaks) I've bootlooped this thing 2 twice a day this week, I'm so tired of using lg flash tool to restore, really missing my twrp right now.
On a side note I've been working on a deodex stock for everyone to use a base. I was trying to use the stock kdz file, but ask the extract tools are giving me a corrupt cab file, any tips? I prefer to use the untouched base because I've replaced a lot of files on my phone already so it wouldn't a full stock if i just adb pulled my /system

Hi,
Because some people want use Xposed stuff (not compatible with ART runtime for now, even if it goes back automatically to Dalvik runtime if you choose ART) and there is still other apps/games not compatible with ART runtime...
And in case of bootloop due to an incompatibility with ART, this flashable zip can be useful.
depends, as I said some of the cm nightlies broke ART so phones would be stuck @ bootloop. yeah, I use ART also, but if your phone doesn't want to boot because of some incompatible change in ROM it is good to have safety net.

Not a valid reason for it to not work. Art works fine in stock rom. Hence, should also work fine on any ROM imo.

One question:- if I switch to ART..I've heard that the the sdcard space gets less. So when I switch to dalvik will I be able to get that occupied space back? Or I have to factory reset?

no need to factory reset. and that less space on sdcard is almost unnoticeable (well depends on how many apps you have)..
Well as promised here is the stock, deodexed, zipaligned, carrier IQ free T-Mobile D95910C ROM. I have not tested this on my phone so at this point this is for Developers to use as a base for ROMs, mods, themes, etc. Having said that feel free to use this in your projects, there is no need to ask for approval (but a shout out in the credits would be appreciated).
Non-developers, I am not going to provide instructions on how to adb push this as I think it's to risky for inexperienced users. As soon as we get a recovery I'll make sure the zip flashes correctly and add a download for the stock kernel and modem. Let the development begin.

Have a free thanks. Two things, first, I honestly have no idea if different variants can flash other ROMs. Second, this is a pure stock, fully bloated, and untested ROM because tmobile doesn't have a recovery yet so it's no what you're wanting anyways. Honestly I don't know. It's just the /system partition with NO kernel or modem so you can try it and worse case just lgflash to stock. However like I said without a recovery you will need to adb install, but I'm not going to post those instructions so you'll need to google it

So not to be persistant but I do believe there is now a way to ADB push CWM (unofficial) on this device and if I flash this is there a specific bootloader that Att has that might kill my device. I use tmobile like I stated before but I got my hands on an Att G Flex and really want to get Wifi Calling to work.
---------- Post added at 07:44 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:43 PM ----------
Also if there is no Kernal or Modem would wifi calling even work without the TMO Kernal?
Honestly if you flash this and it doesn't work all you will have to do is lgflash to stock and you'll be fine. Also, in not sure about LG but on Samsung you couldn't use the T-Mobile kernel and modem in an att phone, but Wi-Fi calling still worked when using just a T-Mobile ROM.
Having said that this zip will not flash at this time. I had made it for developers and messed up the zip itself. I'll be redoing it so it's flash able, but I just spent15hours flying and didn't mess with that. I was actually working in native Wi-Fi tethering, by honestly fighting the zip will be easy. Now in not sure where you see a recovery for att, do to mind linking it for me. I've tested a couple things for others, but so fat nothing that works so would live to see what's working. I'd love to do adb pushing all my tests

Gotcha, yes it should work for other international variants. Unfortunately all the US models have a locked bootloader so we can't simply install a recovery right now. There are people with much more knowledge then me working in getting us a recovery, but it's a lot if work so it could be a while. Ill keep looking into possible temp fixes in the meantime.

Actually that was something else I was working on, sorry if I didn't make that clear. This zip isn't flashable at all. I was helping someone else with something today so didn't get a chance, but all I need to do is add the META folder and reupload (after I test it so it'll be Thursdayish). This is completely deodexed so it should be fine.
First off let me say thanks for reading my question.
I am an HTC One M8 guy myself. However, my daughter has the G Flex from T-Mobile. She has fallen in love with some of the XPosed framework modules. Does the G Flex support XPosed framework? I told her I would root her Flex and put the frameworks on her phone but I wanted to make sure it supports that app before I root it.
Thanks again!
Yes works fine

Hi, i have a flex D955 as well running 4.4.2 and i wanted to root it. But on the IORoot it says only 4.2.2 is supported. And on YouTube i found an app called Towelroot or something like that.
On my Galaxy S3 i'm running Xposed and root was no problem.
How did you get rooted? And can you switch to ART with Xposed? On S3 custom rom it was not possible.
Thanks for your answer in advance.

Thank you for your fast answer!
Just one more 'stupid' question. Is there a way to unroot my phone just in case i need to send it to repair.

All these questions have been answered in tons of the g flex forums. Probably could answer most of them with just the titles of the threads on XDA.

yes, there is an LG flash tool you will find lots of places and lots of references to throughout the Flex forums.
you use it to flash your original firmware, if you want to bother "restoring it" back to stock for some reason..
