(Q) Will XPosed Framework work on the G Flex? - LG G Flex

First off let me say thanks for reading my question.
I am an HTC One M8 guy myself. However, my daughter has the G Flex from T-Mobile. She has fallen in love with some of the XPosed framework modules. Does the G Flex support XPosed framework? I told her I would root her Flex and put the frameworks on her phone but I wanted to make sure it supports that app before I root it.
Thanks again!

Yes works fine

Hi, i have a flex D955 as well running 4.4.2 and i wanted to root it. But on the IORoot it says only 4.2.2 is supported. And on YouTube i found an app called Towelroot or something like that.
On my Galaxy S3 i'm running Xposed and root was no problem.
How did you get rooted? And can you switch to ART with Xposed? On S3 custom rom it was not possible.
Thanks for your answer in advance.

You cant switch to ART if you install Xposed Framework

Thank you for your fast answer!
Just one more 'stupid' question. Is there a way to unroot my phone just in case i need to send it to repair.

All these questions have been answered in tons of the g flex forums. Probably could answer most of them with just the titles of the threads on XDA.

yes, there is an LG flash tool you will find lots of places and lots of references to throughout the Flex forums.
you use it to flash your original firmware, if you want to bother "restoring it" back to stock for some reason..

[Q] Is Xposed Compatible with Jcase's Slapmymoto ?

Hoping someone will tell me if Xposed is actually at home on the new 4.4 root method. I'm seeing different references, but just hoping to become familiar with Xposed. I had a a soft brick trying to use the MotoxPosed module, although I'm working my way out of that mistake on my part. Maybe I applied it wrong, or just looking for any insight.
Yes its compatible. Don't use motoxposed. Only modules updated for 4.4.

You can still root. I am unsure about the cwm as I wasn't aware that was working for carrier

xposed....

On a whim I installed xposed and G2 xposed from the market on my Flex. Everything I've tried works. Use at your own risk.
Xposed installed with g2 on my g flex and everything works great, of course, on your own responsibility, additionally installed gravitybox and everything fine on my international version: Laugh:
xposed with g2xposed module works great. I'm also using android tweaker 2 (applied a few tweaks and used the font manager addon to change fonts on the phone). I'm using rom toolbox pro with these apps too. I used to use gravity box also when I had vanilla android.. since it's made for that what kinda stuff on there is actually working with our flex?

Gravitybox was what got me thinking about it. I may I stall that instead. Has more options.
The only thing that scares me about gravity box is that with no recovery if something goes wrong it'll be pretty tough to recover. I don't know much about the flex yet so im not sure there is even stock firmware available?

you take that risk using anything that edits system files, not just gravity box and I don't see how well gravity box would work with the flex because gravity box was made more for vanilla android.

Right. Like I said ^
I had problems with gravitybox on my nexus 5. Applying certain navbar tweaks would cause it to bootloop. Can't have that on a phone you can't restore somehow. Ill stick to G2 xposed for now.
I posted the link to go back to stock if you happened to mess something up.

I installed gravitybox due to the transparent status bar because the G2 settings do not have these settings

I saw that after I posted my next post. Thank you. I've had the flex a few days and haven't really looked around to much to see anything other than no recovery for tmobile version.
I installed gravitybox. Everything I tried worked except the notification area stuff. Imo g2 xposed supports the flex better.

I'm using g2 themes, g2 exposed, g2 extra lockscreen animations in a flash able. G2 bootanimations., G2's "must icon" flashable that changes up your icons in notifications to more realistic images. Cm10 and cm11 themes. And the G2's animated notification background so that the pull down wallpaper is animated it took a little work to get it going and not boot loop me. I don't suggest using it.

[Q] D958 firmware on d959

I have T mobile D959 device. I need Hebrew language. I nkow there is hebrew language in D958 firmware. Is it safe to flash D958 firmware on D959 device? what are side affects?
No, it'll probably brick your phone. I'm sure there's a way to enable it in your phone through a mod. I'll see if I can find one, but maybe some one already knows

Op wants to know if there's another way to get Hebrew on the flex without root.
Just root the phone, it really isn't that hard to do and its easy to unroot. Just follow the instructions step by step.

I have rooted my flex and used morelocal app but the hebrew language is very limited (only 20% of the manu). thats why I was thinking of flashing D958 firmware on my D959.

Without a custom recovery working and prepackaged Roms to flash this seems very risky. Usually flashing another carriers files into your device results in problems if not a total brick. Do you have insurance on the phone? Can you wait until there's a recovery which is around the corner hopefully? This is just my humble opinion

too bad. Now I must sale the phone because I cant enable my language.

No more root for D950 kk?

So I've been bouncing back and forth between 4.2 and 4.4 playing around with stuff. Last night I downloaded kk update as I've done several times. Except this time it wouldn't update and a messagep popped up saying I'm suspected of rooting. So be warned, at&t has probably changed the update package.
