Contacts photos disappear in message tab...

Has anyone noticed that contacts photos disappear and reappear randomly in messaging app? Anyone know why or how to fix this? This has happened on both stock and sense 3.5 rooms for me. They show up perfect in people app. Any insite would b appreciated

This hasn't happened to me at all. I'm currently on HoliRaider, are these contact pictures sync'd to google/facebook or saved in your phone?
Facebook mostly. Well twitter, Google...every sync service I log into and contacts are linked to

I haven't seen this issue either. I have them synced through FB & Google.

Hmmm wonder if its because my contacts aren't named exactly as the account links for example Cameron on fb but in my contacts saved as Cam

Could be. Do they show as separate contacts in the people app? You may have to link them together.

They're all linked. Maybe text reads from sim card? Its usually fine after a reboot but then mysteriously at some point back to no pic. Another thing I noticed is the name also changes to just first name while the pic isn't there

This happened on my Vivid the day I got it and one more time after that. It hasn't happened since. In each occurrence, a restart resolved the issue, but it was very annoying. I assumed it was a bug with HTC's messaging app, but didn't want to try another one, as I'm content with HTC's offering.
So I found that for some reason message app sometimes uses the sim contact for contact. Any way to fix that other than deleting it from my sim?

Htc facebook widget

Is it possible to get the htc facebook chat app and widget ported from the htc chacha to the vivid or.something similar to it?
Sent from my HTC PH39100 using Tapatalk
Why? Is it different? Because AFAIK there is a Facebook Chat Widget in the Stock Rom...

Facebook contacts not syncing

I'm using Pac-Man 1214 ROM for my HTC Vivid and the contacts from Facebook don't seem to be syncing into my phone. It will run through the process but they won't show up. I've checked the setting to make sure it shows them but that didnt help.

I could have sworn mine did. Try reflashing the ROM if not then you can always install a contacts app that syncs with Facebook

Damn you're quick at answer my questions. Thank you for that, and I'll probably just get a new contacts app.

Lol when I'm online I usually try to answer ppl you just caught me online

HaxSync in the play store always worked for me.

I believe they google took facebook sync out of aosp...so I don't think any jb Rom will have it unless they've added the correct modifications to the contacts app...could be wrong

I noticed as soon as I installed Facebook. But all it really did for me was sync a photo with the contacts, oh well.

Emoji On HTC One

Was wondering if anyone is able to see emoji on their HTC One. I'm coming from Evo LTE and was able to see them on that phone, thought everyone was able to see emoji on JB devices

You see the little black emojis in the stock apps but not apple style. If you want apple style you have to download a third party sms client like Handcent.
All I see now is a square, no emoji. Didn't need second party app on Evo LTE. Is there a way to add the emoji fonts to system
Sent from my HTCONE using xda premium
Hmm I can see them on mine system wide

Are you rooted & if so what Rom are you using. I'm using Viper's Stock Rom on the newest build

I'm also interested in this. All I see is squares for the messaging app. Using CleanRom 2.5

I only now noticed that only some emoji work, all the characters aren't recognized. Guess that's just how it is with android phones. Better than nothing

Question about sense 5.5

Wasn't sense 5.5 supposed to come with a 360 panorama mode and scribble?
I got the official ota today but I have neither of these features or were these just for the HTC one max.
Thanks for replies

I do not use stock android, but ARHD (which is very close to stock) has panorama 360 and scribble.
Mind if I ask what scribble is?
Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk
Yep, I also have not found Panorama 360 and Scribble. Unbranded UK HTC One here...
They are just for the HTC one max
