I'm looking for someone who has a unlocked HTC One m7 bought from the HTC site, i'm looking to buy one but i need to get a imei to see if it works at my phone company (cricket). cricket has been bought by AT&T so i need to buy a GSM phone and test imei. If anyone with a HTC One m7 from HTC site unlocked and could provide a imei it would be extremely helpful.

No one will post their imei. It will work fine. I have worked for ATT for years and have activated many off shore devices.

Hey, I live in Canada and I am with wind. I am really tempted to purchase the HTC one developer edition through a friend of mine. I know that it does not support the HSPA+ 1700Mhz network used by wind and TMO. However, the decive itself does. Would I be able to flash the TMO radio on it once they release the device, and just buy the developer edition beforehand? Just want to make sure that this would work.
People are saying that might be possible, but no one knows for sure until it has been done (not yet).

We're going to need S-Off for that and who knows when that will happen. And even then, no one really knows if it will work
Well, the developer edition will have s-off, or at least that's what I have heard. Getting the radio might be tricky, but knowing the devs on here someone will work it out. I was just wondering whether it would be physically feasible to get the missing frequency.

The dev. edition has unlocked bootloader... NOT s-off.
EDIT: No s-off confirmed by HTCdev twitter: https://twitter.com/htcdev/status/320021639762944001
OK, I guess I was wrong there. Still, after rooting my HTC hero in 2009, my sisters desire in 10, my lg p999 in 11, friends Samsung galaxy s2 in 12, I should be able to get my HTC one a new radio in a month or so, once everyone gets their hands on this awesome device.

Some of the later HTC devices, like my Amaze, only got S-Off by using a wire trick, which requires physical access to the inside of the phone (in the case of the Amaze, easily done by taking the back cover off). I wonder if S-Off will be possible on the One without physically disassembling it.
http://unlimited.io/juopunutbear.htm .... Step 3, wire trick, which is needed for the phones listed.
Has this been done before on other HTC devices? I've preordered the 64 gb developer edition but am having second thoughts.
The reason I ask is that I bought the International version of the Galaxy note 1 with the expectation that one of our very talented developers could hack the radio to make the Tmobile band active... and it turned out to be way more complicated than anyone gave it credit for. Still not done for that note 1.
I'd like to feel a little more comfortable that this can be done with the One.

it is interesting, should be an easy fix but here in canada the only provider that is worth paying for is WIND. For $40 you get unlimited, calls, texting and data. Everywhere else it is $60 for a gig or less. So, naturally I want to stick with my provider, the only bummer is that they use the HSPA+ networks, same as T-Mobile.
The unlocked phone also cost $250 more here for some weird reason.
I don't think it will be possible, I'm sure I read that the alternative frequencies burnt off the driver chip. It might have been in the Anandtech review.
Just contacted HTC, got this as an answer ot the S-off of the Developer edition.
"Thanks for contacting HTC Technical Support Center.
Dear Balint, I am glad to know that you are a member of the HTC family and I will be more than happy to assist you.
Regarding the first question, your HTC One has the S-off."
so it is off, and have been confirmed.

I would like to know as well.
I flashed the T-Mobile radio last week and don't get HSPA on 1700MHZ. I continue to get LTE and I still get HSPA on the refarmed towers. How do I know? I have an older T-Mobile branded phone that I can compare against. At home I get nothing better than EDGE on my Developer Edition One but I get HSPA on my other phone (T-Mobile branded). If I travel down the road a little ways I get LTE and HSPA on the One.
BTW, there are a TON of threads in this and the other One forums that are discussing the T-Mobile radio on the Developer Edition One and it seems the consensus is that you need to change your CID and, to do that, you need S-OFF. MobileTechVideos.com has supposedly gotten S-OFF with a JTAG rig and, a little more tecently, without using a wire. Check their Facebook page for that info -- http://www.facebook.com/pages/MobileTechVideos/182579981788132
We have S-OFF!
Time to kickstart this discussion back up now that S-OFF is in our hands. Thanks to Revolutionary.

:good: to this! If anyone needs a guinea pig to test with, I have a newly s-off'ed Dev Edition in a non refarmed rural area. Just have no idea when it comes to software hacks as I'm mainly a hardware hacker/hobbyist. I miss the 3G I had with my One S, but I'm loving the 64 gigs on the One!
Sup guys,
I´m in the lookout for an HTC One and I found one with a bad ESN. Now, the curious part is that I don´t plan on using it on Sprint. I´ve read that bad ESN are only carrier related and if I were to use the phone on at&t, besides the Sim Unlock I´d need to do, Will it work even with a bad ESN?

It wouldn't work on AT&T regardless of ESN. The radios are different. Sprint phones can only be used on Sprint or other Sprint-using carriers (like Ting). Verizon on Verizon, and even AT&T/T-mobile aren't always fully compatible with eachother (sometimes lose 4G/LTE).
I see, I guess I should forget about Sprint´s One

Well I'm sure there's a way to flash it to say boost or something like that that's if you know how to or someone that can. Heck some small carrier stores even offer flashing services haha

As of right now it is not possible to SIM unlock the Sprint ONE. You can unlock the bootloader, flash to other carriers, and even flash a different PRL and force Roam on Verizon, but you cannot unlock the SIM for GSM use.
Please Update
As of now the GSM of Sprint HTC One can be unlocked using the technique from other threads.... Please tell me if i can now buy a BAD ESN Phone from ebay..... Get the GSM Unlocked using those techniques and use it in India... The radios or freq wont be a problem as India is yet to get a 4G network(Oh God we are so behind).
Need advise before purchasing
It can be unlocked for use on other carriers pretty easily. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=45243199. Bad ESN applies only to US carriers

Hey just a FYI the HTC One cannot go on ting
From ting website:
Our program is as follows: Bring your used, inactive Sprint® device to Ting, and activate it with a Ting service plan*.
Newer smartphones like the S4 and the HTC One cannot be brought over. Likewise, BlackBerry and Push-to-Talk (PTT) devices cannot make the move.

You wont have any problems if you put it on something other than sprint (Providing it has a bad ESN on sprint), However the sim unlock guide provided here does not work with the new rom base.
Keep in mind though that sprint will randomly go through and (Scrub) A.K.A clear the bad esn's out of there system, So even though you purchased with a bad esn it could have a clean one after all.
If you have verizon in that area you could always check about flashing the HTC One to PagePlus. Full Guide Here
Now that i broke my HTC OX i will go on ebay and buy HTC O with bad esn

Just a warning in advance, you are in the wrong forum. There is a Sprint htc one forum, where you will get better help.
Since these are independent devices, you can try to do it the hard way, but to do it legitimately, I think you need to be on contract.
Hi, My friend Joined Boost Mobile and they gave him an HTC One. He is not happy with Boost and is going to change carriers. He wants to know if he can flash his phone for another carrier like Sprint or Verizon or ATT or T-mobile or is he better off selling the phone on Ebay and getting a phone through his new carrier?
Thanks for any input you can give.

Hi Everyone!
My nephew has a HTC One M7 (Model: PN07200) and I believe is for Sprint carrier. However it has a SIM slot, so I was wondering if it possible to unlock it and use a T-Mobile or AT&T SIM card with it?
I always thought CDMA phones had no SIM card, so that's why I wonder if it possible. Maybe installing a T-Mobile radio? Is it even possible to use it with other carriers?
I've searched online, but haven't found any way to do it. Can anyone point me to the right direction?
Thanks!
